wittybookdragon replied to your post “-pounds fist on the table- I want a halloween party. ”
I feel this on such a deep level, my house is too small to house more than five people - and that's not a party, that's a small sad gathering - and Halloween parties are always so much fun
@wittybookdragon I used to have slumber parties with that many people when I was in middle school. But I agree for a halloween party that might be sad. However... that’s probably the amount of people I’d have over anyway. I was thinking something small anyway but Halloween is Monday night and even though I’m free most of the day, my guests probably would not be.
I have stolen a few such as Revenge of the Shadow King, The Ultimate Gift, and a dolphin book. There were all from different teachers.
2. Which author has a name you love to say?
None that I can think of.
3. Have you ever bought a book twice on accident?
Yes, it was one of the Stephen Diaries, I bought it at a book store then a few months later at the dollar store.
4. Do you have to visualize characters as you read?
Yes, I also visualize actors and actresses who I think fits the description. For example, I always picture Danielle Campbell as Juliette from the Shatter Me series and Wendy from the Trylle Triology.
5. Would you buy a foreign edition of a book just for the cover? If so which cover are we talking about here?
As long as it was in English, sure.
6. Do you consider yourself a collector of books? Or a reader?
Both
7. Neil Gaiman. Yay or nay?
Can’t say never read any of his books.
8. The author from whom you own/have read everything?
Rick Riordan, I own and have read all of his books, same with Tahereh Mafi
9. A book that was so bad that you were angry at it, of that you had to quit because you couldn’t take it anymore?
Lost voices (series by the same name) I stopped reading it because it bugged me that much.
1. Favorite reading spot? This is lame but probably my bed.
2. Most reread book? The Goose Girl (Shannon Hale) or The Book Thief (Zusak), which are my two favorite stand alones. I bring them everywhere with me on the off chance that my house burns down.
3. What do you prefer: seeing the movie then reading the book, or reading the book and then seeing the movie? Books first always! Sometimes I never see the movie just to preserve my mental depiction.
4. A book you started reading because the cover appealed to you. Ember in the Ashes (Sabaa Tahir)
5. A book you think is/was overhyped? Ember in the Ashes (still good though ngl I don’t dislike many books).
6. Which author you own the most books from? A mix of Shannon Hale, Cassandra Clare, and Sarah J Maas.
7. Bad bookish habits? I can read lots of books at the same time, which seems good until I have three half-finished books on my shelf and I just keep starting new ones.
8. Least favorite book you’ve read this year? It was an adult book that everyone in my family loves; I think I’m too young for it so I won’t say what it is and ruin it for other people.
9. Do you write notes in the books you read? No but I underline lines that make me laugh out loud. I am literally the world’s worst at drawing straight lines and I’m drawing them while laughing so honestly my funniest books are like scribbled in.
10. Which book is the oldest one you own? I’ve been buying books forever, but the book that made me fall in love with reading was The Goose Girl.
For those I tag, here are your questions!

6. Best/most intriguing trait in an antagonist?
7. Bookmarks or dog ears?
8. Currently reading?

23: Did your family or friends influence you to read when you were younger?
yes, definitely. I think it was my parents who started the ball rolling with books like My Father’s Dragon, and then it was my elementary school friends obsessing over series like Warriors and Harry Potter that convinced me to read even more, so thanks guys! :)
30: One book everyone should read:
Code Name Verity by Elizabeth Wein. I can’t even describe how wonderful that book is and I wish more people read it.
39: Favorite villain:
Probably The Lord Ruler from the Mistborn trilogy for reasons I can’t go into without massively spoiling the series 😬
I was tagged by the delightful isastairwhereisit 1. If you had to bring 1 book from a burning building, what would it be? Probably my bible. It's the only book I've ever written in and it's got a lot of personal messages in. Although because I'm a bit of a pyro I'd probably back in there trying to remove my whole library 2. What is your favourite universe? I love the Old Kingdom universe because I'd get the cool stuff but they have electricity and phones! 3. What is your favourite way to organise your bookshelf? I have a really weird organisational system. I have my absolute favourite books on one shelf, then my secondary favourites on another shelf. Then I have a "feature" shelf which is where I pick a genre and all the books I own of that genre go on that shelf (it's currently paranormal romance). Then all the others that I like but aren't my favourites go on another shelf. Then the ones I have left over are arranged in colour order on a shelf of their own. Then I have a shelf for all my books from the Chalet School series (because seriously they need it), a shelf for all my children's book, a shelf for my mum's old books and a shelf for scripts and book merchandise that are books (the shadowhunter's codex for example). My bookshelves are the kind of thing where I could tell you where any book is to the number it is in from the side, but no one else can find anything for the life of them. They look cool when photographed though. 4. What does your bookshelf look like? In terms of make they are wood but painted white and from IKEA. I have one big one and one that is half the size. I use my bookshelves to display some of my favourite things though so I have all sorts of interesting trinkets in front of the books (masks, an old compass, theatre tickets, fairy dust) I'm gonna tag flamingmirror (I don't know if you've done it) plus wittybookdragon and iambicbantameter!
Thank you to the lovely the-marvellous-party for tagging me! Here goes:
1. I consider myself to be quite funny, even if it’s in a very dry, snarky way that frustrates people. It makes me feel good to make people laugh.
2. I am tough as hell. I don’t like confrontation but I will fight anyone to my dying breath if it’s for a good cause. (This is despite being like five foot.)
3. Selfishness. I like the fact I’m selfish, because I’ve always had a problem with demanding respect and putting myself first, so that fact that I’ve developed a sense of being selfish is really important to me, because at the end of the day the only person you are never going to be without is yourself.
4. Feminist. All the way. I like that definitely.
5. Intelligence. I’ve worked my ass off to be as intelligent as I am, and I’m super proud of that.
