there's been a new scan of the Wind In The Willows 1985 broadway recording!!

there doesn't seem to be any major overall quality difference in the video or audio from the version we had previously, BUT the little blips from where the video was split into four parts are gone, and all of the digital break-up during mole's bow is gone!!

my hand slipped

#a friend recently mentioned these things called paper moon portraits #so I stole- BORROWED his idea to draw the silly woodland characters in one #return of the cowards!!#wind in the willows #the wind in the willows #witw #wind in the willows 1985 #witw 1985 #witw broadway #we now return to our regularly scheduled sadposting

a few weeks ago me and some friends were discussing what we’d do with our own production of WITW 1985

and I made some costume designs for Mole :D

long post here we go-

(start of) act 1: very dark colours, the coat is made of a sort of velvety material (like mole fur woahh) she's lived underground her whole life up to this point so it's generally very worn and shabby

(end of) act 1: mole puts on a winter coat and scarf as she prepares to go into the wild wood (inspired by her outfit from the original 1983 production!!) not a complete outfit change, she's still wearing the same dress/skirt underneath. the coat is a dark blue to serve as a transition to..

act 2: bright blue dress with a lovely floral print!! the gradual brightening colours of her outfits is to sort of show her becoming more used to living above-ground

the only thing that rly stays consistent between all three costumes is her little bag which she keeps her poetry book in, the only thing she took with her when she left mole end (this was suggested by jessi bcs shes very clever like that :D)

I have made some more designs but I'll save them for another post (eventually maybe) !!
