Wearing your boyfriend's t-shirt. Er. Wizard Robe.
Progress pictures for one of my biggest clothing projects ever, my famous wizard robe. Upcycled from a shitty shein robe I got from the thrift store. This is the best thing I’ve made, ever, and put way too much time in.
Here's all of my Art Fight attacks for July 2024!
You can find each attack individually (for finding the characters and whatnot) here!
Artfight of 2024 was a lot of fun! I was really glad to be able to participate this year, having mostly missed out the last 2 years, and it was really fun to draw all this with others' characters! I learned a lot in the process, and it just feels nice to do!
wearing a corset under my robe so i can pull it back and make the wizard council think i have an hourglass figure to make them jealous
So I just realized that the origins of the modern wizard hat 'n robe trope is probably old illustrations of Hermes Trismegistus, the guy who is basically THE wizard if you're into Hermeticism. (There's a brief scholarly introduction to what that was all about over here.)
This alchemical emblem is from Michael Meier's 1617 work, Symbola aurea mensae.
My friend made a sketch of wizard robe of their's dream and asked me to make it. I love final results very much.
