Everyone, let me introduce you to, MY CHILDREN.

So yeah they're the main squad of a novel I've been working on for a few years now. (I say that but in truth I'm still staring at my doc and procrastinating writing the second draft). But I will finish this eventually because these dorks mean the world to me.

Stevie received a letter from Neville once while he was still working at Hogwarts. It was out of the blue and caught her off guard. Some kids had messed with some of his favorite plants in the herbology room and it really upset him. The plants were unsalvagable, he was distraught. She went to visit him as soon as she could and just held him close. The kids had personally ruined his plants because he had given them a bad grade on an exam, which caused him to feel like a failure not only to the plants but his students as well. It really stuck with him afterward and he tried really hard to make sure it wouldn’t happen again.

FRENZI

Before the battle, Fred and Franzi got into a bit of a fight. He wanted her to stay behind so she would be safe, but she wanted to be on the front with everyone. It was their school and she felt a duty to fight back. Fred can be a little rude sometimes and said some stuff he ultimately regretted. He promised himself that after everything settled he would make it up to her. Sadly, he never got to apologize. And while Franzi never held a grudge against him or took his words to heart, Fred didn’t know.

MARGE

I like to imagine that one day, while working in the store, some kid ends up trying out a product and it ends up crashing into or somehow damaging a portrait of Fred that George put up. It really sticks with him and just scares the shit outta him. He knows the kid didn’t mean to but it almost like a reminder to him that no matter what he can’t protect the ones he cares for. Not having the photo up of his brother while he works while it gets fixed makes him want to hide away from the world. It takes a few weeks to get fixed and the energy in the store is drastically gloomier until then. But it also helps him move on a bit more.
