•.+ ♖ MINI EVENT ! —  March, 1989. The Event Planning Committee at Hogwarts has decided to capitalize on the fast approaching Spring with a formal that’s sure to play to every wizarding fairytale written, only they’ll be the protagonist in this tale. The Great Hall will be enlarged from the inside and decorated to fit the seasonal theme. this will include charmed plants and greenery covered gazebos fit for a table of twelve, enough to fit the entirety of the school; a dance floor with floating glass ornaments with fairies inside; a mandatory black tie dress code. Though it will be nighttime outside the castle, the season will come alive from the inside, with an artificial sun to boot! The Hogwarts Spring Formal has arrived.

Hogwarts is hosting a Spring Formal for its students. There’ll be a special feast, where each student will get to choose what they want off of a decorative menu created by the house elves, speak it to the plate, and whatever treat they request will appear! After this, there’ll be a special performance by the Frog Choir, Orchestra, and Dance Club; one which they all collaborated on, and fits the theme of the formal. Then the dance itself will begin, which will feature select orchestral pieces played by the Orchestra, a DJ from the WWN, not to mention the Event Planning Committee is taking auditions from bands and solo acts to perform. Alumni as usual have been sent notifications in case they want to chaperone, as well as the directions to enter the premises, should they have recently graduated and been invited as one of the students dates. 

This event will have taken place on the second to last Saturday of March, March 19th, but will start on MARCH 28TH at 1PM EST ooc, and end at MIDNIGHT EST on APRIL 1ST. You may continue threads afterwards, as well as reply to starters if you missed the event.

Right after the Spring Formal, Easter Holiday will take place starting March 22nd. Easter itself is on the 26th of March in 1989. This will not be acknowledged on the dash or written as an event, but you can acknowledge Easter Holiday having passed in threads or write it on your own terms ( 1x1 threads, self-paras, etc. ) Classes will pick up the Tuesday after Easter Monday, March 29th.

You can continue your other threads on the dash. Please don’t close them because of the event!
