Disappointed that there are what feels like 1,281,273 fics about characters we know very little about (looking at you, Regulus Black and the entire entourage of characters allegedly aligned with the marauders) but the fandom completely SLEEPS on characters we know just as much about, but who actually have a fascinating political stand. :/

For example, I have included Carlotta Pinkstone now in two of my fics, but she has all but 6 (!) fics on Ao3 (and I’d say she’s the focus of two of them :/) and nearly no posts here on tumblr. 

Now, what makes me so curious about her?

She’s born in 1922, so a) she was likely a student of Dumbledore. b) She was alive and grew up with the festering conflict with Grindelwald, so she was probably influenced, and confronted with his political stand and the opposition. c)She developed a resistance against the Statute of Secrecy, believing that wizarding and muggle societies should mix (and boy let me tell you, I cannot make this an essay about why I think this should absolutely be debated more within the HP fandom and in-universe as well but it should!) And finally, d) She was willing to stand for her point so strongly that she went to Azkaban SEVERAL times for showcasing magic to muggles. 

We do not know what spells she used in front of muggles (I have my own headcanons that she actually attempted to help muggles with medical issues/struggles, but that’s only a headcanon), but one definitely has to admire the defiance and perseverance of this woman. On top- we don’t know when she went into prison, but she could have been at Azkaban during times when the Death Eaters were either burning the country, were imprisoned themselves or even reigning. So for her to SURVIVE a dictatorship that stood directly opposite to what she wanted to represent…that woman has balls of TITANIUM. 

And the fandom is completely sleeping on her. :/

Just thinking about the whole, Sebastian gets sent to Azkaban thing if we turn him in. Is that actually a thing? Would the wizarding officials really put a fifteen year old into Azkaban? Surely there are different rules for underage wizards? Especially if they've never offended before? 🤔

Their nephew Sirius I and niece Iola Black had tessellation effected pupils, Iola's descendants had metamorphic traits. One hundred and seventy years later a decendant named Nymphadora Tonks and her son Edward Lupin were born metamorphagi.

Logic question:...how was Delphi (or rather, Euphemia) able to avoid being detected by the Trace? According to what we know, the trace would have detected any magic performed around a minor and it’s unlikely that Euphemia never used magic for all the years Delphi was in her home. So the ministry MUST have been aware that there was a minor at her house? And no one ever checked up on her? Even if we assume she was not abused, was no one ever…curious about where this child came from? Did Euphemia pretend she was her child/grandchild/niece/etc.? 🤔 Did they just believe that, without checking, at all?

Ah damn, fic idea...

So, I just read a post abut the Ressurection Stone and I also believe in the theory that the stone does not REALLY return your REAL lvoes ones to you, but a corrupted version of them that's meant to lure you to death/make you suicidal.

So who, besides Harry and Cadmus Peverell and Marvolo Gaunt, wore the stone?

Dumbledore. To see his sister.

Who died ~a year later after wearing the stone and who, as we established in another post, might have been suicidal for very long already?

Hmm....

Plot idea: Dumbledore DID summon his sister with the ring, but she was corrupted, too, and it went bad. Very, very bad.

And while I was browsing through established lore, I came across two more inconsistencies (separate posts, cause separate topics.).

How is the wizarding world able to hide the fact that their average lifespan GREATLY exceeds the average lifespan of muggles? According to the wiki, the average lifespan of a wizard was 137,75 years in 1995 (and women in the UK had an, on average, 6 year longer lifespan than men, so for witches, it’d be ~143,75 years). That’s just about 65,75 years longer than a muggle (almost DOUBLE) and just about 21,5 years LONGER than the longest recorded muggle (assuming that Mrs. Calment wasn’t secretly a witch XD). And remember, this is THE AVERAGE, not the record itself. HOW exactly are wizards and witches supposed to explain to their muggle neighbours, agencies, offices, institutions etc. that they’re older than the record holder? Oo Do they just stop visiting the muggle world once they reach an age when they should, realistically, be long since dead? Do they constantly lie? Do they forge their documents/birth certifications? Do they have two sets of them, one for the muggle world and one for the wizarding world? 

Seems overly complicated to me. x,x

Curious question: If one were to transform into a Metamorphmagus with Polyjuice Potion...would they aquire the ability to transform their body as well?

Aquired injuries get transmitted (see Moody's eye), as do inherited conditions (Harry's eyesight). You cannot use it to transform into non-humans or half-breeds, but do Metamorphmagi fall under this category?

Likewise, what happens if you've transformed yourself into a werewolf and it's a full moon? Do you get turned, too?

…THIS, from a directory that contains the BLACK family as pure-blood.
