Okay, I have a proposal.

I'll ask Starry to stop Weirdmageddon. He'll probably say yes once I present the full deal. Then, I'll use my funky Henchmaniac powers or whatever to clean up the damage and start a global revolution that will ONLY DO GOOD. Fixing up damage, reversing global warming, getting rid of bigots, bullies, death, illness, etc. and maybe add some fun stuff like fantasy creatures and making things more colorful and pretty and fun.

NO PYROMANIAC/SADISTIC HENCHMANIACS!!! THEY'RE THE ONES CAUSING THE PROBLEMS. All this will do is increase enjoyment and decrease suffering.

Bill Cipher’s powers are interesting

So far Bill hasn’t directly killed anyone. What he (and his eye bats) did do was petrify a lot of people.

Something about this reminded me about Bill’s abilities in the first episode involving him, Dreamscaperers.

Nightmares, dreams that induce fear.

Bill is literally powered by fear.

The British dog-man that torments Soos seems to be from a recurring bad dream. Mabel apparently has nightmares where she is no longer cute.

These are all conjured by their fears, but how did Craz and Xyler show up? Simple they are something that reassures Mabel and alleviate her fear which is the other side of Bill’s powers.

Combined with Bill’s ability to hear people and animals thoughts (as revealed in Dipper and Mabel’s Guide to Mystery and Nonstop Fun!) Bill could literally tell the things that made Mabel happy and lose all sense of danger. Essentially Bill can remove fear as easily as he can summon it.

Mabel’s bubble destroys all sense of urgency. The world practically stops moving forward, making any fear that is related to deadlines or small windows of time disappear. Mabel feared growing up, she feared high school, she feared the end of Summer, she feared leaving Dipper, all of which were coming at her way to fast to prepare herself for. You could say the bubble is like a lobster trap, those who enter find something that makes them want to stay, in lobster traps it’s highly appealing food and shelter from predators, in the bubble it’s literally anything you’ve always wanted to do and the absence of the chaos outside. The thing is, the trap only works if you decide to stay, lobster traps actually catch about one in ten lobsters, the ones who stay are in there of their own volition and could leave anytime so long as they accept the world outside the cage as something they must accept. The difference is inside the bubble is more appealing than outside not just because inside is is an illusion of dreams and desires, but because outside is a chaotic hell-scape.

This is why Bill attempts to convince Dipper that heroes can’t win against him, because real heroes have courage and face their fears.

While Bill may have a very specific weakness to banish him from reality his TRUE weakness is bravery and courage!

Courage is not the absence of fear, but facing the future and the unknown in spite of it.

Bill could be considered the personification of the concept of fear. In other words...

BILL IS FEAR ITSELF.

We were all worried about the “Trapped forever” in the promo for Weirdmageddon part 2 Escape from Reality but it ended up applying to Bill. Whoever set up that barrier (my money is on Blendin going back in time and setting it up the necessary elements way in advance, maybe after Gideon’s robot fell) trapped a being with infinite power in the town of Gravity Falls just so the rest of the world could be safe.
