CROSSING PATHS FREQUENTLY BY HAPPENSTANCE is such a rare occurrence, such that for once she eventually felt compelled to follow the sea-sailing teen. The archipelago is vast, as is the world that it thrives in. She would hop from island to island often, keeping curious hunters who sought her out always guessing. She took pleasure in it—teasing those foolish bipeds with her wit and grace. Only once in a blue moon did one actually garner her interest.
The baton he wielded soothed and guided winds, moving it to an ethereal tune that most men couldn't hear. It was what allowed him to get this far, and his travels had eventually piqued her interest, just like that strange, silver stick.
The boy seemed young, and hardly equipped to be a hunter. He bore a sword on his back but only used it in defense, as far as she had observed. The opportunity had shown itself in a wooded clearing on this particular island, where fresh water flowed through a babbling creek. A small cliff overlooks the side opposite from the bank he stood on.
Strategically, she finally lets her paw snap a twig underfoot to attract his attention. Glassy scales refract light like a mirror, as she pushes through fern and brush. The light fury's scales slowly regain their glittering, visible appearance.
From her place on the cliff, the Swan warbles softly, and sits there, awaiting his reaction.
@wndwker gets the swan!
"LOWER YOUR WEAPON. Monsters of mine won't bite." She asks—almost demands of him, a protective arm outstretched to put herself between him and the crimson beast. Flanked by two other riders, the Chieftess Heir had spotted this young man come ashore whilst on patrol. Mahana was generally welcome to outsiders, but they didn't like people setting foot here without knowing so.
Her free hand raises to placate while Ratha steps into her outstretched arm, shoving his snout against it affectionately. Mari shifts to keep herself balanced. "We're friendly—are you?"
@wndwker liked for a starter!
@system0n asked: "Well... I-I had a different idea. But-- we can go with your idea if that's what ya' think is better. Either way, it needs to get done."
The forest spirit found herself looking down from her perch atop a tree branch several feet above the young boy's head. Her expression was curious but also a bit distant - empty even, perhaps.
She wasn't a korok, though she wasn't hylian either. She looked almost hylian from a distance, but up close it could be seen that her green dress was in fact leaves, held tight to her body by vines that seemed to come from her own skin - skin that seemed almost like bark upon a close inspection.
"We are agreed. The bokoblins that had invaded the forest must be gotten rid of." She nodded, green hair shifting with the slight motion.
"... why is it that you feel that simply burning them out is not the better solution?"
We on glorp shit is this a positivity hour??? Okay here I go!! You are a very talented writer! And you HELLA inspired me!!! Honestly you're super creative and I lowkey read a lot of your threads because of how LEGIT amazing they are. Like fr!!! Also talking to you ooc IS ALWAYS FUN!!
So sweet to me?!?!? Thank you, I really do try to give 110% when I'm writing...! It's really reassuring to see that people notice that effort. I love talking to you too haha! Honestly I can't believe that you ended up being the same person I met back on Scott's blog in January, lol... that's still such a cool coincidence to me.
WHAT?! NO WAY!
His hat got stolen by that damn Bunny Hood-wearing thief! Damn, that other Link. He was fast.. But that other Link was just quicker. Still, that won't stop Link from grabbing his Wind Waker and focusing on the rhythm! He then began to play the notes:
WINDS REQUIEM! Link then moved his waker towards himself - thus letting the GUST OF WIND hopefully slow that thief down!
"TAKE THAT - YA' BASTARD! GIVE ME MY HAT BACK!"
[X] @wndwker
Well... not the result Wind was going for, but the result he got was blowing of Young's hat. And with it the bunnyhood. which does stop him long enough to stoop down to pick it up. So an opportunity to catch... If he didn't actually have to double back to chase that hat.
Good play with the wind there, as you just got a bargaining chip of your own, as the wind brings the theifs hat back to the victim, and now we have to heros... not with their own hat, but that of the other.
and it's now become a stand off, as... Young is contemplating how to retrieve what the wind took from him... without yielding his own catch.
@wndwker ♥'d for Knuckles!
"That sailboat of yours—you maneuver it quite impressively! I've never seen a boat move like that! You must have trained hard to master such techniques! It's like it has a mind of its own!"
