Hello, I just wanted to request Jerboa the third if you haven't done them yet. I just find their story so interesting.
Jerboa III is (admittedly) one of the characters I remember less about, but I do really love her. She's an amazing rep for child abuse, and her story had a lot of subtle horror elements I haven’t really seen in the other books!
enjoy this more conceptual piece featuring her as a dragonet.

Design Notes:
I wanted to capture that quiet, isolated atmosphere I got as I was listening to Jerboa's backstory in the WoF audiobooks.
It really reminded me of what a sad dragon she is. She lives with the truth of what her mother did to her, with the countless lives she'd had, then forgotten, then recovered. She finally has magic, but everytime she uses it she'll lose a little piece of her body. Although she can go out and live amongst other dragons, she has to leave before they realise she isn't aging (at least until her later spell); she's able to befriend them but never to show her true self.
In terms of design, I think it would've been better if I'd kept only the light of the campfire. It would help to accentuate Jerboa, and the small radius of the light could better conveyed her loneliness.
Here the hut looks more welcoming than I intended, and the light from the window kind of distracts from her. But it's entirely possible I might recreate this in the future, so I'm not too bothered.
