Here's my take on Mastermind!

I kept to his canon design for the most part, and gave him a pretty desaturated colour palette.

I think it makes sense that NightWings born on the volcano would be more ashen and grey, whereas Moonwatcher and Starflight (and other NightWings born on the main continent) would be more colourful and vibrant. Plus, it also helps to differentiate them nicely.

I also imagine he has a nervous habit of licking his lips, inspired by those videos of lizards licking their face (I believe that's mostly for cleaning purposes, but I thought this was a fun little detail lol)
