I am obsessed with the IDIC symbol. I'm well aware that it was introduced as a cash grab, but in-universe it is such a giant FU from our petty bitch king Spock. Think ab how Surak theorized an "infinite diversity infinite combinations" state of mind. But then Vulcans are xenophobic as fuck. Spock wearing the IDIC symbol as a necklace, a constant reminder to Vulcans that he embodies Surak's teachings more than they do, is the most "fuck you" behavior I can conceive.

Also, Spock using the IDIC symbol as a giant glittery mural in his Enterprise quarters is the most gay thing you will ever see in your life.
