The Wolf in Control
Summary: Waking up beside a wolf in the woods is scary enough. That wolf turning out to be Klaus Mikaelson only made things worse.
Stefan and Damon had kept me well and truly hidden from Klaus the second they found out he needed a werewolf for the ritual. Damon couldn’t have cared less when Tyler was taken, he only saved him for Elena. But I was locked away, told not to come to the grill for a while.
But when the night of the ritual actually came, we were all so worried and stressed out that I completely forgot it was a full moon.
There was nothing I could do by the time I started to turn. My mind was gone, the animal taking over instead.
When I woke, I was bare in the woods. I laid still for a moment, just breathing in the forest air. Every inch of me ached and I had little to no energy to wake myself home. For a second I felt at peace, before something shifted against me. I swallowed thickly and kept as still as I could. It was only then that I felt the softness on my back; fur. It must’ve been Tyler’s wolf that hadn’t turned back yet.
Slowly, I turned my head. “Oh my god.” I whispered. This was definitely not Tyler’s wolf. It was absolutely massive. My heart must’ve been going a million miles an hour. His head tilted, eyes glowing bright gold confirming that he was at least a werewolf and not a wild wolf.
Carefully, I sat up. I looked him over once before my eyes went even wider. “Oh-“ the sight of the wolf’s cock, thick and pulsing made me pull away. His tail wagged rapidly when I looked down at my body, my thighs slick and centre aching. “Ew- fuck!” I got up, my legs shaky and weak. I barely took three steps before I was back on the floor. The wolf moved to be back beside me, sitting quietly as I struggled to gather strength. “Okay…” murmured, my eyes stinging as I reluctantly laid back down. I fell back to sleep for a while, when I woke I was closer to town, my skin licked clean of any dirt. With a huff and a puff, I managed to walk the rest of the way home, not without looking over my shoulder and noticing the large animal’s figure following.
I hadn’t even considered it being Klaus’s until he grabbed me at senior prank night, dragging me and Elena through the halls. He shoved Elena into the gym and spun me to face him. “Be a good little wolf and sit quietly.” He warned me lowly and my brows furrowed. This was supposedly the first time we’d met, yet the smirk on his face told me differently. He chuckled softly at my confusion and leaned down to brush his lips against my ear, “I know what a good girl your wolf is.” He breathed, “behave for me, and I’ll come play on the next full moon again.”
The words made something in me whine. Made my panties damp. Klaus just grinned and pinched my cheek. “Go sit.” He whispered and hesitantly I did.
I stayed there until he was carrying an unconscious Elena through the gym, he gave one glance and a smirk my way before disappearing into the night.
He left for a while, another full moon coming and going before he reappeared at Tyler’s house for ‘homecoming’. Klaus had come right up behind me, a hand squeezing my ass making me let out a surprised yelp and quickly spin round, my face red and scared.
“Easy now, sweetheart.” He chuckled, his hand gripping my hip and pulling me into him. My hand was grabbed and put onto his shoulder, my other locked with his. “Not very aggressive for a wolf, are you?” He mused, glancing me down once more. “How ever did you end up killing someone?” His voice lowered and I swallowed thickly. The second he mentioned it, I felt the memory flash through me, my heart pounding again with the same adrenaline I had that night.
“I don’t…” I tried to pull away but his grip only tightened.
“Yes, yes, I’m sure it was traumatic.” His eyes rolled and he interlaced our fingers. “You’re very soft aren’t you?” He murmured, eyes narrowing as his head lowered and his nose brushed up the side of my neck. My eyes darted, landing on Katherine who was posing as Elena. She just stared back at me with a nod as if telling me not to ruin the plan and to go with it but time.
“You um…you smell nice.” I complimented awkwardly, trying to keep him distracted so Stefan and Damon could keep preparing.
“Thank you, love.” He chuckled, his head raising and chest pushing out slightly as we continued to dance. “You smell perfectly delicious yourself.” His voice was no more than a deep purr and my stomach felt queasy. “Well, little wolf, as much as I’d enjoy whisking you away, I have to deal with some matters.” He announced upon someone, presumably a hybrid, muttering something into his ear. I nodded, finally being released.
Damon had me stay at his house after that. He practically scrubbed my skin in the bath. “He’s wrong in the head.” He muttered, rubbing the loofa over my arms. “He’s messing with you, trying to scare you so that when he turns you, you’re already too afraid to go against him.” Damon warned. Damon had helped me a lot since I’d broken my curse.
“I don’t know what happened that night.” I whispered and his head shook.
“Don’t worry about it.” He assured, lifting my arm to rub down. “He wouldn’t have done anything to your wolf form.”
But I wasn’t so sure. Sometimes I’d wake up in the night, a vague memory or a dream from my wolf’s perspective. Paws stretched out in the dirt whilst a much larger wolf led over me, body moving against mine.
I was anxious about the next full moon. I made sure to go down to the cellar that the Lockwood’s own. I put on the chains on myself and began to drink the wolfsbane. The second I started spluttering down myself, the liquid burning through my skin, heavy footsteps began to get closer.
“No wonder your wolf was so happy to be free last time, love.” Klaus mused, his shoes appearing just in front of me as I knelt on the floor, holding myself uncomfortably. “Come now, no more poisoning yourself.” He knelt down, beginning to pull apart all the chains making me cry.
“No, no stop it!” I tried to pull them back on but he just picked me up. My leg snapped making me scream and jerk violently in his hold but he didn’t falter.
“Stop fighting.” He growled, dragging me up into the woods. The pain continued for what felt like forever before everything faded out again. When I woke I was naked again but this time in a bed. I lifted my head, seeing Klaus crouched in front of me with a smile on his face.
“Morning, sweetheart.”
My eyes were too heavy to even deal with him, my head dropped back down within seconds. The next time I woke his arm was over my body, the room dark and quiet. I shifted only a little but it woke him instantly.
“Mmh.” He huffed, sitting up slightly and pulling me flush against his back. “Never known a wolf be so weak after the full moon.” He muttered and I frowned.
“Well all my bones have just broken in and out of place.” I scoffed back and he chuckled.
“That’s the little bit of bite I was looking for.”
After a moment I got out of the bed, leaning against the wall slightly for support. “Where’s the bathroom?” I mumbled and he appeared infront of me, taking my arm and leading me across his room to the en suite.
I locked the door behind me, using the toilet before cleaning my hands and face. My hair was neatly brushed, skin clean. Immediately it was obvious Klaus had tidied me up whilst I was passed out.
When I came back into the room he was back in bed, sat on his phone quietly. His eyes glanced up and he nodded his head at the foot of the bed. “Wear those and come back to sleep, you’re still exhausted.”
I didn’t have much choice, so I complied and put the clothes on before laying back down.
“Good girl.” He praised before pointing right beside him. “Come.” And for some reason I did, no fight at all.
His phone was put aside and he laid to face me, his arm over my body and hand resting at the top of my back.
“Such a strange wolf.” He muttered again, his eyes barely open. “A very sweet little wolf but still, strange.”
Eventually I got back to sleep. I woke with my face in his neck, his body on top of mine making it impossible to move. I could feel his heavy breathes against my skin as he remained asleep but his hips ground slowly against me. I whimpered, pushing at his body when I felt his erection rub up my thigh. When he didn’t wake I began to stress. One more thrust of his hips and I let out a cry.
Klaus’s head shot up, eyes wide and weary before he looked at me.
“Get off!” I yelled and he did, sitting back on the bed with a grumble as I climbed out.
“Christ, love.” He huffed, “must you whine so much?” He snapped, but I was scared now and I wanted to leave. I wasn’t as weak as I was a few hours ago and I wasn’t confused and hazy anymore. I tugged on his door but it wouldn’t open. “It’s locked.” He stated simply, holding up a key when I looked back at him.
“I want to go home.” I whimpered and he sighed. In a blink of an eye he was unlocking the door, but as I went to leave his hand grabbed my wrist tight.
“Don’t be rude.” He warned before letting go.
Hesitantly, I turned to him and lowered my head. “Thank you.” I muttered quietly. “For bringing me inside and letting me sleep.” I went to leave again but his jaw clenched tight so I reluctantly kissed the apple of his cheek. That was enough for him to let me go.
I felt like he was everywhere I went, even in my own house I could feel his presence outside. Occasionally I’d look out the window, find his glowing eyes through the dark before closing my curtains. I lived alone now, after what happened, which made me feel all the more vulnerable to his predatory stalking.
Each day I wondered when he was going to turn me, make me completely obedient to him, but he never did. Instead I was haunted by the knowledge of what our wolves did when the moon hung high. Haunted by the way something in me called towards him.
Eventually, he stopped grabbing me in The Grill, instead he began to be a bit gentler. Perhaps he realised I’d more forthcoming when he was kinder. His hands stopped wondering, instead just resting on my waist or shoulder. I often thought the change in his behaviour was some sort of game plan.
Until Elijah came back. He’d invited myself, Stefan and Damon to there house for dinner.
“You must be Y/N. Niklaus speaks of you fondly.” His head nodded and all three of us frowned.
“Maybe he should stop creeping outside her window then.” Damon snapped, taking my hand as we walked inside. Not that it was much use, Klaus pulled me away from Damon instantly.
“Come sit, love.” He pulled out my chair, pushing it back in when I sat and brushing his fingers through my hair, moving it back with a hum. “Is this Damon’s shirt?” He questioned, his tone already annoyed.
“Yeah, she slept over.” Damon answered before I could, sitting down and glaring back at Klaus. Elijahs throat cleared as he gestured for Klaus to sit, eventually he did.
The dinner was full of slightly awkward talk, a few mentions of Elena which tensed up both Salvatores and amused the Mikaelsons. Klaus’s jaw seemed to clench more and more each time I pushed his hand off my thigh from under the table.
I flinched slightly when his hand came down, grabbing my leg tight.
“Eat up, love.” Klaus smiled, though his eyes still glared as his thumb firmly rubbed small circles on my thigh. I glanced up, seeing Elijah staring back at me. His brows pinched and a very slight frown tugging at his mouth. I looked away, focusing back on my food so Klaus wouldn’t have to tell me again.
Stefan had to literally pick me up out of my seat when the other Mikaelsons unexpectedly stormed in. We were up and out of there in seconds.
Klaus assumed I helped plan it. His rage went through the roof and he was grabbing me so hard that I thought arms were going to snap.
“Look at you.” He spat. “You look just about ready to pass out.” The words were scoffed, “you’re the most pathetic werewolf I’ve ever known to exist.”
In many ways that seemed to be true. I wasn’t as aggressive as Tyler and I didn’t fight back much but I think I was conditioned to be that way by my own parents.
His grip tightened even further and my mouth opened to let out a sound at the pain. My forearms was turning near purple from a lack of blood and I gagged at the thought of them breaking. The second I made the noise, Klaus finally let go. The bruises had already formed, bright red around my skin.
Still, Klaus grabbed me and dragged me up the stairs of my own house and pushed me into my room, onto my bed. I laid face down, still and bit my tongue to be quiet as I waited for him to do something else. My heart was everywhere, I could feel it in my throat, my ears, even my fingers and toes. I suppressed cry when he sat beside me, the bed mattress sipping slightly. And I flinched the instant his hand moved, but this time his touch wasn’t so violent. He rubbed the top of my back almost gently and let out a sigh.
The sound of his hand patting against something, presumably his thigh, prompted me to move to be against him. Klaus looped an arm round me and kissed the top of my head.
“You didn’t plan it, did you?” He mumbled and I shook my head. I hadn’t even tried to deny it when he accused me, I barely had time to. “Forgive me.” It was a demand, not an ask so I just gave a nod. “Let me see.” He mumbled and took my arm. The marks had healed away thanks to my wolf but the ache was still there, the fear was still there. He sighed again and just pulled me onto his lap.
We stayed there, quiet, for what felt like hours.
Eventually, Klaus pulled began to mention his mother, who was now back, and how she was throwing a ball and would like him to bring a date. I wasn’t asked, I was told. I was given a dress.
“This is what you’ll wear, see?” He held it up against me, giving himself the opportunity to push his hands against my breasts. I glanced up at him quietly, see his eyes on my chest too and a slight tug at the corner of his mouth. “Mm,” he pulled his hands off and folded the dress back into its box. “Don’t worry, love, I have some heels for you too, and put your hair up.” He nodded. “I want to see your neck this time.” There was a pause before he took my chin in his hand and tilted my head up. “I’ll get you myself. Understand?” He questioned and I nodded.
“I’ll be ready.” I whispered and he smiled. His fingers brushed against my neck and he leant down enough to smell along the side of my throat.
“Good…” he murmured, his mouth soon pressing wet shapes onto my skin. “It’s a full moon the day after the ball.” Klaus revealed, like he’d been counting down. “I’ll take you into the woods.”
“What do our wolves do?” I whispered and he chuckled, kissing my jaw before sitting up and stroking my hair.
“They have a lovely time.” He whispered back, his eyes flickering making me involuntarily whine. “Mm, see how needy your wolf is.” His hand went to my thigh and his eye shone gold again. It was like his touch wasn’t so repulsive when his wolf was on display. My body moved toward it on instinct and he grinned. “Oh, sweetheart, I wish so desperately that you could remember the way you present yourself for me. These hips up so high.” He squeezed my hips tight and smacked my ass lightly making me jump in surprise. “If I turn you, you’ll remember.” He muttered more to himself than me.
“Why haven’t you?” I asked shakily and his eyes narrowed.
“I have other plans for you.” He answered vaguely.
He left soon after, not without holding my face still so he could kiss my lips.
The next day was the ball. Damon rang, telling me he could take me so I didn’t have to be in a car with Klaus but I knew that would cause more trouble than it was worth so I promised I would be okay.
Klaus messaged me during the day anyway, reminding me of times.
I made sure I was ready. Dress on, shoes on, necklace on, makeup on and hair…well I didn’t like it up. So I put it half up.
Klaus didn’t look overly impressed by it when I opened my front door. His hand lifted to brush it back over my shoulder and he stepped close, brushing his lips over my pulse point like a threat. “Next time,” he whispered, “do as I tell you.”
“I’m sorry.” I whimpered, my eyes wet already and my skin hot with fear. His arms went around my waist, hugging me loosely and caressing the exposed part of my back.
“Don’t cry, love.” He murmured, kissing my forehead.
Eventually we were in the car. It was quiet and he kept his hands to himself.
Once we got to his home he was much more possessive. One hand firmly on my waist and the other lacing our fingers together. He passed me a glass of whatever and pulled me through the hall. I found who must be Esther pretty quickly. She looked back at me curiously, her eye zeroed on my stomach and a look of worry overtook her. I frowned and put my arm over my midsection self consciously. Klaus glanced down at me and pushed my arm down.
“Don’t look so scared.” He frowned. “I haven’t done anything.”
“I’m not…” I mumbled and he squeezed my hand.
I was far too conscious of eyes on me. His siblings, the Salvatores, even Elena but mostly his mother’s. It made me press closer to him, trying to shield myself from view. Klaus liked it either way. His hands would slide down my body, but I hardly noticed the way he admired my ass.
Once the first dance was over he was tugging me up stairs. We passed Esther on the way and she followed us up at a distance. I felt like she was listening as he pulled out an array of drawings and paintings. I didn’t pay much attention until I recognised they were of me or my wolf.
“Oh.” I breathed, the first few were quite beautiful. Some were a little creepy and then I frowned. Drawings of me pregnant. Of me with a baby. Of our wolves with puppies. “What…”
“You’re my mate.” He stated and I stared blankly at the pages in front of me. “That’s why you do almost everything I say with no fight. It’s why your wolf begs to be bred.” His voice lowered and he placed his hands on my hips from behind. “You were so good tonight. You danced so well, let me touch you, you were practically led on me.” He murmured, his body pressing against mine. “I can’t impregnate you in wolf form, love.”. He whispered, his hips pressing to my ass. “I checked. But I can like this.”
“But- you’re a-”
“I’m half wolf, sweet girl. Wolves are very fertile, you should know that.” His cock became increasingly apparent against me and I didn’t know what to say or do.
“I can’t.” I whimpered and his grip tightened making me think quickly. “I’m- I mean not yet.” I sniffed. “I’m not ready to have a child yet.” I sniffed and he relaxed his hold slightly.
“You’ll be an excellent mother.” He argued and I swallowed thickly.
“I’m just not ready. I don’t want to have one yet.”
“You mean with me.” His fingers dug in and I suppressed a cry.
“No, no! I do!” I yelped out, saying anything to make him stop hurting me. “Just not yet, not here.”
“Where?”
“It’s dangerous in Mystic Falls.” I sniffled and he softened, his hands turning me around. I looked up at him, his thumbs were wiping away my tears and a thoughtful look took over his face.
“You’re right. We should move together.” He nodded and I wanted to die because why would I say that? What did I think he was going to say. I must’ve paled because he began to stroke my face so gently. “It’ll be good, love. We could have lots of pups if we were somewhere remote.” His hand stroked my stomach slowly.
I knew in that moment that there was no chance I was getting away from him. Somehow fate had tied me to him and everyone knew he was a possessive creature. Him, and his wolf.
