An almost impossibly small mining bee (Andrena sp.) visiting desert parsley (Lomatium sp.). I observed this 5 millimeter wonder at the beautiful Wolf Haven prairie @wolfhavenintl - a remnant of one of North America’s most endangered and outright weird ecosystems, the mima mound prairies of the southern Puget Sound region. They are well worth a visit if you’re into botany or bees or mysterious things...give it a Google.
