Alphinaud's place in Ophinne's life is a subject that they often brush up against but never say aloud, each of them finding it hard to speak about such things, let alone finding the time to engage in them. Sometimes the dam gets a crack and some water slips through, but it's repaired quickly and things return to "normal".
"What? What's with the look?" she teased.
Alphinaud began talking in earnest, eager to run as far away from his fluster as possible, ignoring the hand on his cheek to the best of his ability as he swerved tactlessly into another subject.
This is the front entrance to the apartment. To the right is the kitchen, to the left is the wall facing the yard where lots of beasts roam (Arkao rescues and studies various beasts!). Their dhalmel, Pascal, is poking his head in through the window, perhaps aiming to eat the taxidermied fish

Cozy little kitchen complete with a highchair for their new little addition, a baby miqo girl named Elodie. The rolanberry tart is a favorite of Arkao's and the sunflower bouquet was a Valentione's gesture.

And behind it, the 'bedroom' space. To the left is Alphinaud's desk and Arkao's is on the right.
Arkao enjoyed dolls and figurines and miniaure creatures in his youth, and even occasionally crafted his own from bits and bobs, like sticks and feathers and rocks. His desk primarily contains items various objects related to his studies — tomes, notebooks, medicine and other necessary items for the beasts in his care — as well as drawings and craft projects and cold teacups. On the wall are taxidermies and drawings he has made of various creatures. Arkao is a bit messy. In the sink a carbuncle is taking a bath :P
Alphinaud has a simple desk for journaling and an easel nearby to paint. Some of his artwork is hung about.

can naawwwttt stop thinking about how much alphinaud would love roleplaying. i think brat taming could play into that but roleplaying in general would be so up his alley. both in a hot way and a silly way.... like stubbornly maintaining the act even when it becomes a bit ridiculous to do so, leaving both him and his partner cute giggling kissy messes. WAHHH<3
