“Holy crap, you caught a Moltres?!” Avery cries, shoving her phone in Wally’s face. Her eyes glimmer with both awe and envy. On the screen is Wally’s Pokémon Go trainer, accompanied by the majestic flaming bird of legend.

Wally’s smirk is much too smug for her liking. “You bet I did. Used every one of my Pokéballs to catch it.”

Avery leans in close. “You gotta trade me.”

“No way! I caught her fair and square!”

“C’mon,” Avery pleads. “I need it for my Pokédex! Just for a minute? For your best friend? Pleease??”

“Ave, you can’t even trade legendries,” Wally tells her.

Avery deflates. “Well, that’s dumb.”

Wally shrugs. “I don’t make the rules, I just play the game.”

“Uhg, half the time when I play anyways it thinks I’m going too fast anyways.”

“Are you seriously trying to play Pokémon Go while going full speedster?! Wait, are there Pokéstops in the speedforce.” Wally’s face grows serious.

The two stare at each other, trying to keep a straight face for as long as they can bear it. Which, as it turns out, isn’t long, because they quickly burst into giggles.

“Wait, there’s a Maggiekarp!” Avery exclaims, looking back down at her phone.

“You mean Magikarp?”

“Yeah, whatever, I can’t read.”

headcanon a: riza’s like. the most functional human out of the entirety of team mustang, with the exception of, like. maybe winry?? like she does her laundry and washes her hair on a regular basis and Actually Cooks Well Enough To Feed Herself (unlike certain other people cough havoc cough). she actually has her act together. distinguished bi.

headcanon b: riza took an incredibly long time to realize she was in love with roy.  imagine like. roy does something rly goofy and stupid and she can’t stop herself from laughing a little bit and he just looks at her with a dorky grin on his face and she is so so very fond of him and– oh. rebecca catalina looks at her expression and cackles. “figured it out, huh? it took you long enough.”

headcanon c: she can’t sleep without a nightlight. she’ll go out on missions at night and fire bullets without flinching, but she’s never quite as comfortable as she used to be. it’s over, she’s safe, things are changing for the better, but somehow riza can’t shake the feeling that the dark has teeth.

headcanon d: riza saw lan fan and immediately was like !!! and now they’re bros who complain abt their idiot overdramatic boys being overdramatic idiots

any recs so far from your 90th gotham read through?

i know that u meant 90s gotham but i need yall to know if i ever read a batcomic 90 times in a row PLZ put me out of my misery fjdklas;f;as

Knightfall was actually more interesting than I thought it would be! And was rlly well-paced??? Like it had me on edge wanting to see who would come outta the woodwork next jfdklas; I feel like i rlly understand why its an Iconic™ story now! KnightQuest & KnightsEnd were where I started to skip around tho, bc it was just... a lot to keep up with and I def felt burned out. And Jean!Bats was.... def not fun to read fjdkla;

Not a strict story arc rec, but I really enjoyed some of the early stories with Ventriloquist and Black Mask??? for some reason??? Ventriloquist esp is like, becoming my fav B-list villain, which!!!! surprised me a lil ngl!!!!

It wasn't strictly part of my 90s reading, but with the movie coming out this year, i did take a little time out to reread Long Halloween & its still *chefs kiss* rlly good read. Cinematic style, self-contained story, plot will keep you guessing. Can't wait to catch the movies (& hopefully they won't change too much ahhhh)

I've really enjoyed Cataclysm and esp Road to NML! I really liked NML when i read it abt 2 yrs ago, but i was also rlly dumb (& impatient to get to Cass fdjksla) but having the context??? And esp more of what went into Gotham becoming isolated & exactly why certain characters stayed/who got to help just??? its a rlly interesting read! And im really enjoying myself again so!!! :D

OH! Also really really liked the Anarky solo!!! (the four-ish one 1994 iirc?) it went so off the rails constantly and i just fjkdlsa; LOVED THAT! so yeah! \o/

Again, another one of those chains that relies p heavily on the JL connecting the heroes in btwn, and this is all under a HEAVY assumption that Ronnie's had one-on-one interactions w/ either Flash (which uh... once again can't confirm myself so ^^; again, someone feel free to correct/give another path if you can find one!)

Every single speedster has adhd but barry and jai have comorbid autism! Charlie, steph, duke, babs, and tim all have adhd! Maxine hunkle has adhd!! Linda park and zinda are both Deaf! The entire doom patrol is disabled! Steph has endometriosis! Cass is hoh!

FUCK YES ALL OF THIS IS SO GOOD! i personally hc that babs has cormbid autism/adhd and autistic tim owns my entire ass plus i think dick has adhd as well but all of this 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 amazing 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 i do stan!
