Sometimes I like that Wood Release is such a rare bloodline limit. It makes it more unique, well, that and its connection to nature - life.
Then I think about the Forest of Death. And how I like the idea that it existed long before Konoha was founded.
And then I wish that wood release would appeare more often. Just be super hard for the user to master. Deadly level hard. If the user couldn't figure out how to balance their own chakra and the nature chakra quickly enough, if they didn't discover they had Wood Release as very young children - around preschool age - to have time to master it - they would probably lose control and become a tree. Because the time limit would be reaching maturity - the development of all chakra paths.
That's how the Forest of Death would come to be. It's not been just the effort of a few mokuton users over the years (or well Hashirama's). It'd be a graveyard for those who lost control of their own power and is under the care of those who did master it.
