Listen, I may never look at Bruce and see him as an objectively good father, BUT I am absolutely convinced that he would be one of those parents who do a complete 180 and become practically perfect grandparents.

I adore that Jason is a tall king after coming back to life. I also like the fact that Jaybin is so tiny.~

BUT I also think that, regardless of the timeline, Jay would have grown to be at least average height. In my mind, the “famous” 1,37 m listed on his death certificate is simply someone’s mistake - for example, someone copied his height from the notes of his first visit to Leslie, not the last.

From what I’ve checked - at least according to the data currently available - the average height range for a 12-year-old boy in the US is between 1,37 and 1,6 meters. This means Jay would barely fit within that range - in other words, he would be considered quite short.

The average height range for a 15-year-old boy in the United States is between 1,6 and 1,8 meters. Since I like to think that he died in the year he would have celebrated his 15th birthday (I’m almost certain that someone has already done the math - both in favor of and against this theory) and that he was likely a late bloomer in terms of height, he probably died at about 1,57 meters. BUT if he had lived a few more months, he would have reached 1,67 meters after his 15th birthday.

Even if we don’t believe his physical condition allowed him to achieve that, he was still surrounded by all that magic and superhero nonsense, which probably helped him improve his health a bit.

ALSO, in my imagination, Jay managed to get a costume with longer pants before he died. BUT when Bruce took Robin away from him, he took that new costume. Jay still had the one he got from Dick, which is why he died wearing it.

We’re right in the middle of Prime Month, so I feel a strong urge to talk a bit about how the Pokémon series introduced me to the world of LGBT+ shipping long before I even realized this culture existed - and how it’s continued to entertain me ever since I started to understand it!

The word “introduced” might be a bit of a stretch, since I’ve always been pretty good at searching for things online, but I know you all get what I mean. To be fair, I’ll only talk about the couple I grew to like before I hit double digits (meaning before I turned ten).

Shout out to:

-> to the various gym leaders and champions (and Harley) for being such eccentric icons! aka Wallace, Erica, etc...

-> to Jassie and James and their dynamic - whatever we want to call it, because they’re either platonically married or the gayest straight couple of all time

-> Ash and Gary and their moon-related nonsense - even my young mind, which didn’t know the Japanese context, thought it was too romantic for them to be just friends, and each of their following encounters only confirmed this (especially their care for Gligar)

-> May and Drew as the only straight couple I never got tired of

-> Dawn and Zoey and their lesbian fate that was simply not meant to be

This week I learned that the Converse shoe brand was established in 1908, and that the Chuck Taylor All Star model was launched in 1917. Now I can’t stop thinking about the fact that that freaking Tom Marvolo Riddle might have worn a pair of original Converse.

Can you imagine that?

I did a little research - they were mainly treated as athletic shoes (for basketball). A new pair in 1937 cost between 1,5 and 2 £. So they weren’t that expensive, especially compared to today’s prices, but back then they were a significant expense for most households.

So imagine young Tom, still unaware of the existence of magic or Hogwarts, but making the most of his talent, meeting an American donor - a huge basketball fan - at his orphanage. Seeing this handsome boy, the donor decides to give him a pair of shoes. Tom might not want to play that "silly sport", but a new, comfortable pair of shoes - maybe even slightly oversized so they would last him longer - is something he would definitely ask for. He would charm his way into getting them. And they would become one of his favorite things for many years to come - even after he got into Hogwarts.

They were the first things he enchanted so that they would always fit him perfectly. So that he would never lose them.

Even if, as soon as he decided to play his political game, he would have hidden them deep in his trunk.

That’s my vision. Maybe someday I’ll draw it. It’ll look a little funny, in the style of the 30s and 40s, especially during the war and mixed with wizard's fashion.

Robin is supposed to be a partner, not a sidekick! Or a babysitter… Timmy: So what is it? Does it come from both of his names? Dick, channeling his inner Jaybin aka grinning widely: No, it comes from “bitch.”

Dick, angry: B, you bitch Dami: You shouldn't use your father's nickname with that connotation. Dick: What? Everyone calls B “B,” thoug? Damian: Yes, as an affectionate term, so it shouldn’t be used in such an offensive way. Dick: Wait! Dami, honey, what do you think “B” stands for? Damian: Well, it’s obviously an abbreviation of father’s three names. Jason informed me of this long time ago. Dick: Could you spell that out for me? Damian: You’re acting a little silly, Richard, but since I have to. B stands for Bruce, Batman, and Baba. Dick, blinking: Jason taught you that? Jason, from a distance: Talia implemented this whole no-swearing policy, so I improvised! Jason, wrinkling his nose: Not that far off, to be honest.

Wing, with resignation: You know how much he cares about this whole secret identity thing, so I decided to get creative Jaybin: But he’s old… Wing: Look, B could stand for Bruce, B could stand for Batman, the thing is no one knows. Besides, he likes both black and yellow, so he’s kind of like a bee, right? Jaybin, still upset about something that happened earlier: The only B I see in him is “bitch” Wing, agreeing: Oh, that too. 100%
