cuddles with woonhak turn very cozy very quickly, his body falling on top of yours as he cages you beneath him. when it’s been a while since you both last met, he gets all pouty and needy, nuzzling his face into the crook of your neck as he continuously tells you that “i missed you so so so so much, you have no idea!” it feels like you can’t breathe from his weight crushing you, but really, it’s that weight that finally makes you feel like your home, like you’re at the place you were meant to be in.
with soft music playing in the background, you both huddle under the covers as he talks to you about what he’s been up to while he was away. but he loves listening to you too, breathing in your scent as he simply takes in everything you say with a hum of attention. his hair tickles your neck at times too, and he just sheepishly grins as he apologizes. but honestly, hearing your giggles as you tell him how “it tickles,” in that sweet voice of yours drives him nuts. he loves you so bad, glad to be back home by your side.
🎄 HIS INVITATION 𓂃 After finding out that you’ve never decorated a Christmas tree before, Woonhak was determined to change that. Whether it turns out to be the most perfect picture of a holiday moment or a tangled mess of lights and ornaments, his goal was to make it an experience you’d never forget. And much to his luck, the moment becomes chaotic, heartwarming, and maybe just a little romantic.

“ARE YOU SURE ALL OF THIS IS NECESSARY?” Sungho muttered, eyeing down all the bags he had helped carry into the apartment for Woonhak. The boy he was speaking to, still catching his breath, nodded firmly.
“It’s just Christmas,” Sungho slipped out.
“It’s not just Christmas,” Woonhak refuted. “It’s something special you spend with someone you care about—though I guess you wouldn’t understand.”
Sungho immediately got into a defensive mode to explain why he was single, but Woonhak wasn’t listening anymore. His attention was glued to the bags, double-checking every item he bought for tonight. Lights. Ornaments. A star for the top.
He even had some extra items—snacks, hot chocolate mix, and even a Christmas playlist to get the mood going.
He had everything.
He needed to be extremely prepared for this because this wasn’t just a holiday to him. It would be a holiday for the both of you.
Woonhak knows that he’s not your first.
But, after hearing how you’ve casually mentioned that you never decorated your own tree with a significant other, he took it as an opportunity.
He took it as a sign. A chance. A place where he could be your “first” at something that could matter so much to you.
His goal wasn’t simply just making Christmas special.
For the both of you, he wanted to create another memory. A memory that you would remember even down the long run.
He wanted to make your Christmas special.
He wants to be the first to do that with you.
Even if it meant absolutely going full out.
As he stood up from the floor, Woonhak looked at the reality of the entire situation. He only just noticed the mountain of plastic filled bags he had surrounding him.
He wasn’t really sure if you two needed everything. In fact, if anything, he was more painfully aware that most of these items were excessive. But, he couldn’t ignore the thought of getting a little bit of extra decorations—like the extra box of ornaments or the extra set of twinkly lights was just calling his name every single time.
Even with the slight overwhelming feeling creeping up on him, the doorbell rang.
Both Woonhak and Sungho froze, making brief eye contact before their heads snapped toward the door at the same time. Their eyes had widened in unison as if that sudden noise could only mean one thing.
Sungho scrambled toward the door, pressing his eye closer to the peephole. Meanwhile, Woonhak fumbled for his phone, instantly swiping up his notifications center at lightning speed.
No messages from you.
Thank goodness.
“I think it’s just an order!” Sungho called out, turning to look at Woonhak who let out a breath he'd been holding and stepped forward.
As he opened the door, the massive brown box sitting horizontally in the entryway took up nearly the entire threshold.
This was definitely not going to be easy to bring in.
Instantly turning back, Woonhak flashed a Sungho grin so wide that it undoubtedly creeped Sungho out.
“What do you want from me now?” Sungho asked, his voice laced with dread as his gaze kept switching back from Woonhak’s unsettlingly pleased expression to the box outside of his place.
“Help me, obviously,” Woonhak scoffed, turning his back on Sungho before he could bicker away again. The tactic worked like a charm; instead of hearing Sungho try to lecture him once more, he heard footsteps approaching right behind him.
“Well, it shouldn’t be that difficult right?” Sungho muttered, stepping outside the door to lift the long box. He scanned the narrow entryway, making sure that once he lifted it up, it wouldn’t knock anything else present.
Then he shot Woonhak another look, one eyebrow arching as he stared at him. “Are you going to help me or just stand there and watch?”
Woonhak blinked right back at him, completely unbothered. After a brief moment, he crouched down, allowing his fingers to slip under the cardboard edge to also help lift the box. “Honestly? The latter sounds really good now.”
Sungho groaned under his breath. “I swear, if you weren’t doing all this for someone you’re stupidly in love with—”
“Lift on three,” Woonhak cut in quickly, ears slightly heating up.
They both paused, fixing their hand positions before inhaling.
“One… two… three—”
The box was finally lifted, but it was not graceful. Sungho had straightened himself up properly with perfect controlled effort. Woonhak, on the other hand, nearly tipped backward before he found his footing, his arms wobbling along with him.
“Are you holding it or just letting me do the work?” Sungho hissed under his breath.
“I am holding it!” Woonhak slightly snapped, though the way he adjusted his grip for like the fourth time in ten seconds made that questionable.
They somehow shuffled forward, one awkward step at a time.
The box would hit the doorframe.
It would scrape the floor.
Then hit the opposite wall.
“Please tell me,” Sungho muttered between gritted teeth, “tell me you didn’t get the biggest size.”
“I literally got the medium,” Woonhak defended.
“This is not medium.”
“Well, maybe—just maybe it just came in a bigger box!”
Sungho paused just long enough to glare at him. “You clearly bought the biggest one.”
“Even so, what’s wrong with that?” Woonhak muttered.
They would continue their clumsy moves into the living room, the box finally being placed down in the center of the chaos of the filled bags for Christmas decorations.
“I’m leaving this all to you to assemble.” Sungho straightened, rolling his shoulders back with a muffled groan. “You better hope this is all worth it.”
“It is,” Woonhak said without hesitation—though the lingering doubt that still remained from earlier still hovered in the back of his mind.
Woonhak didn’t have the time to overthink or handpick what he should get rid of because they seemed “too much”. You had actually texted not long ago that you’d be arriving soon during this whole process, and suddenly everything felt like it was sinking in. So, instead of going down in a further spiral, he would push out the still sulking Sungho out of his home, still muttering a quick but genuine “thanks” for the help—even after teasing him practically the entire time he was here.
Once the door had clicked shut behind Sungho, the atmosphere in the apartment fell into the tense quiet kind that made Woonhak more hyperaware of each scattered bag. To pretend like he wasn’t panicking about absolutely everything, he hurriedly attempted to make it seem more organized.
Soon enough, Woonhak’s ears perked up at the doorbell.
This time, the sound wasn’t entirely alarming.
Woonhak knew well that this time, you would be the one behind the door.
He rushed over immediately, barely giving himself a second to breathe before swinging it open, instantly breaking into a grin the moment he saw you. You matched his smile, lifting a small plastic bag in your hand.
“I made some tiramisu for us.”
“Oh, you’re perfect,” he blurted out, unable to hold back the soft gush in his voice. He stepped aside, ushering you inside so you didn’t have to stand out there anymore. As you slipped off your shoes, Woonhak gently took your scarf and hat, setting them aside on his clothing rack.
But his breath got caught when he noticed you freezed.
Your eyes lingered on the mountain of shopping bags all gathered in the center of the floor. The unopened Christmas tree box still laid in the same position when the other two had brought it in.
“I know the room looks a little messy right now,” he said quickly, rushing forward as if blocking your view would somehow help you from registering the sight in front of you. “But it’ll look better once we get everything sorted out. Promise.”
His voice was cautious yet hopeful as he tried to read your own expression. Despite feeling like he knows you, he still braced for judgement—but hoping for anything else but that.
“You remembered?” your voice softened, your eyes finding his.
“You… you know what all of this is for?” Woonhak asked, his own voice growing quiet but still carrying a hint of surprise. He held a look that showed that he was waiting for you to say that somehow all this planning might’ve been too much.
“Well, yeah,” you laughed lightly, the sound now easing the built up tension in his shoulders. You pointed towards the bags with a few stray decorations already peeking out. “It’s pretty obvious we’re decorating something.”
Woonhak blinked at you, almost like he was acting like you wouldn’t catch on so easily. Or maybe he was just shocked that you did—but weren’t teasing him for it.
“Right,” he murmured, rubbing the back of his neck. “I don’t know… I just wanted it to be special. I was going to assemble the tree before you got here, but I was too excited when I already heard that you’d be on your way.”
You stepped closer, grabbing his hands. “Woonhak,” you said with a small smile, “the fact that you remembered and went through with all of this already makes it special.”
Woonhak’s eyes couldn’t help but soften—completely and helplessly.
“I’m glad I’ll be getting to spend Christmas with you,” he confessed in a hushed tone, cheeks already flushing as if the words slipped out before he could catch them.
“Well, if you say so,” you teased lightly, brushing past him toward the mountain of bags, crouching to peek inside one of them. “We should probably start with the most important thing, right?”
Woonhak nodded, immediately grabbing a box cutter to start assembling the tree. He’s never assembled a tree on his own before, but he hoped the ten minute Youtube tutorial he watched at double speed last night would magically benefit now.
As he sliced the box open, the contents already instantly poured out in a tangled mess of the metal parts and branches.
His confidence definitely wavered for a second.
From where you crouched, you glanced up at him due to the source of the noise. Your attention on the pack of ornaments vanished when you caught the sight of Woonhak frowning at a paper pamphlet with the instructions.
“Do you need help?”
“No—I got this,” he said with instant determination, straightening his back from his own crouching position. He wanted the tree ready before you touched a single thing, wishing to prepare this tree as the perfect blank canvas for you to go all out with your own ideas.
“Totally got this,” he added, eyeing down the instructions once more.
Instead of questioning him any further, you bit back a smile, choosing instead to go through another bag of decorations so you wouldn’t distract him too much.
But, the silence was just too tempting.
“You sure?”
Woonhak didn’t look up. “It’s fine. This is easy. This should be easy.”
You raised a brow as he flipped the pamphlet upside down, then right up up again, eyes flickering back and forth from the paper to the actual tree assembling.
“Uh-huh,” you said along with a small chuckle following up afterwards.
He cleared his throat, refusing to even acknowledge how the way your laugh made the tips of his ears redden. His focus surged once more as he pulled the bottom section of the tree into the base, slotting it until he heard a click. He would tighten the eyebolt, making sure that it stayed in place.
He did glance over at you—just for a second—to see if you noticed.
And you did.
“That looks sturdy,” you praised as you watched him. “Good job.”
“Told you I’ve got this,” he smirked—far too confident for someone who did not have a clear vision of what he was supposed to do. The confidence definitely arrived a little too soon. The tree was not fluffing up the way he wanted it to; instead of the lush, it looked like an extremely sad and stiff tree.
He tried fixing it before you looked over, frantically moving at the branches to achieve the look he had pictured in his head. But, when he glanced up and caught your eye, it was already too late.
“...It’s a part of the process,” he rushed to say, as if that explained everything.
“Maybe I should help,” you said gently—just that soft understanding you always seemed to have. Instead of laughing, you scooted closer, allowing your knees to brush against his, settling next to him on the floor.
Even though you’ve never done this before, you reached for the branches and began fluffing them. From the bottom alone, there was already some kind of shape forming. Within seconds, with the volume of the tree, it started looking like the one from the tutorial he swore he managed to remember perfectly.
“See?” you said quietly, looking over to the boy’s expression that was mesmerized by how quick you managed to do all of that.
“Yeah,” he murmured, almost shyly. “Maybe we can do it together.”
You smiled, and it was the warm kind, the kind that was so familiar. “That’s the whole point, isn’t it?”
Woonhak’s cheeks warmed up again, yet this time he didn’t look away.
“Yeah,” he admitted, his previous confidence melting into something more earnest. “I guess it is.”
With that alone, the two of you instantly felt into an easy rhythm. The silence that had once filled the room earlier softened into light chatter, which transformed into shared laughter—Woonhak stealing glances at you after every joke he made, and you chuckling at almost anything that had slipped out of his mouth.
Even though you two were only assembling the tree, Woonhak felt like this was already the beginning of something special. He believed that the moment you walked through his door, it was the moment that Christmas had already started.
And he hoped you felt the same way too.
If he had been doing this alone, he knew it would’ve taken him ages. But with you by his side, you two instantly worked at equal pace—naturally, and almost effortlessly so.
“It looks good to me,” Woonhak said, stepping back to admire the three you both had but together. “What do you think?”
“I think so too,” you replied, your face brightening with the same gleam he’d wish to see everyday. It was the one where you’d get whenever something genuinely excited you. In an instant, you hurried back to the bags, lifting a couple toward him with both hands.
“I think it’s the perfect time to start decorating!”
Now, it was his turn to laugh, but it was the soft, endearing kind. The kind of giggle that slipped out when he’s just genuinely admiring the person in front of him.
He followed your excitement, gathering a couple of the bags and sliding them closer to the perfectly placed tree in the corner of his living room. The two of you stood side by side, staring at the ornaments, lights, ribbons, and all the miscellaneous decorations he absolutely didn’t need all out but bought them anyway.
“Now, where do we even start?” he asked, his voice half-thrilled, half-terrified as he took in the sight of everything again.
You tried starting back leaning over to one bag to pull out the fairy lights—only to pull out a tangled mess of it instead.
“I think…” you tried stifling a laugh, but you couldn’t as the lights dangled. “This might’ve been your first mistake.”
“I didn’t even do anything yet!” his voice echoed, along with a dramatic gasp following it.
“You bought them,” you teased, swinging the knotted lights around.
“That hurts, you know,” he said dramatically while pressing his hand to his heart. Despite that act, he was already moving beside you, sitting cross-legged on the floor to help untangle one end of the disaster as you did the other one.
It only took him a minute to somehow have his fingers stuck between the wires.
“Don’t pull—wait, wait!” his voice boomed with panic, trying to get his fingers out as you stood momentarily frozen by the situation. “Okay, okay. Maybe pull a little that—no, not that way!”
You burst into laughter as he shrieked, his expression twisting into instant betrayal. “Are you really laughing at my suffering?”
“Well, yes,” you said without an apology, leaning closer to carefully free his hand yourself, “but only because you look cute when you’re struggling with things like these.”
“Um—you—well, okay,” he mumbled in defeat, his voice cracking on the last word.
Once the lights were finally untangled, he stood up triumphantly with a proud grin. But before taking a single step toward the tree, he paused to look at you to show how he wanted your opinion first.
You reached into one of the bags, putting out two sparkling bundles of tinsel. As the red and silver tinsels were in your hands, you stated, “Tinsels first, then the lights.”
Woonhak nodded eagerly, setting the fairy lights aside. “Tinsels first,” he repeated, grabbing one of the tinsels from your hands before making his way to the tree with purpose.
You followed right behind him, already wrapping the tinsel around one of the branches. He copied your movements, trying to not get into your way while you’re wrapping on your side—which caused his tinsel to look shift a little too much. But, you always helped him adjust it afterwards, allowing your shoulders to touch.
Halfway through putting the first decorations, you both stepped back at the same time, looking at the tree with the tinsels finally all up.
“I think it’s already starting to look good,” you said, nudging him with your shoulder.
“I think so too,” his eyes lingered briefly on the tree before drifting back to you, already glowing with pride over the half finished product. “But, we still have a long way to go.”
You agreed and practically scurried back, digging through the bags instantly. Woonhak would peek over your shoulder, grabbing the boxes of ornaments you pull out so you can continue going through whatever he bought.
As you get everything ranging from frosted white glass baubles to glossy red ornaments, you two both on opposite sides of the tree start decorating. There were moments where you ended up getting in each other’s way, instantly playfully bickering about who was on that side first.
During the process, you would circle around the tree and occasionally sneak glances back at him. You watched as Woonhak would carefully space out the ornaments apart, having him bite his lip slightly in concentration.
Every now and then, he’d pause and back back to check if it looked good even from a distance. Much contrast to his words before, he was doing better than expected. You ended up slipping the odd ornaments towards the back of the tree, catching the attention of Woonhak.
As he was about to comment, the facial expression on your face was enough to shut him up, making him allow you to do your own thing. After all, this experience was meant to cater towards you—so if you wanted a randomly large gingerbread cookie ornament to take up the space, he would gladly work around it to make it stand out.
The more you two decorated, the more your steles would mesh together. Gradually, the tree would gradually turn into the best blend of his careful placements with your carefree ones.
By the time the last ornament was on the last empty branch, you both stepped back once more, finally admiring the fully decorated tree.
The branches were filled with the tinsels, the faintly glowing lights, and the combination of the ornaments made it look better than what you two had initially imagined.
But there was only one thing that remained.
The golden star.
You took the chance to lift it out of the box, eyeing Woonhak as you had it in your hands. His expression softened immediately and without saying anything, he walked closer. His hands overlapped with yours, his fingertips grazing yours as he held the star with you.
“Ready for the finishing touch?” he asked.
You nodded.
As you two inched closer, you two had both stepped onto the stools he had nearby just for this moment. Lifting it together, he steadied the star once you had guided the piece into place. For a moment, both of your hands stayed there, pressed close, warm feeling against warm.
The star gleamed perfectly, leaving both of you to have matched awe.
“Woonhak,” you whispered, allowing your arm to now interlock with his. “It looks beautiful.”
As much as the tree was really beautiful, he didn’t find himself looking at it.
He wasn’t paying much attention at the vibrant tinsels, the bright lights, the shiny ornaments, or the glowing star you two placed together.
He found himself looking at you.
“Yeah,” he said softly, admiring something else instead. “It really does.”
And you caught him instantly. The way he was staring at you said everything he didn’t have to. By trying to play it off, you nudged him gently, which the smile tugging at your lips gave away how much that made you flustered. He laughed, and you joined him, which the laughter would quickly turn into something more lovestruck.
“Thank you so much for doing this Woonhak,” you said, finally taking the chance to express what had been swelling in your chest the whole night. “I already have a feeling that this Christmas is really going to be special. And I’m really glad you’re my first for making this holiday already feel so perfect.”
His breath hitched, feeling the impact of those words land on him. His fingers would slide to intertwine with yours fully, allowing his thumb to brush lightly over the back of your hand.
“And I’ll always be here,” he said, his gaze settling on you with a sincerity that instantly made your heart skip. “For many more years to make this holiday always perfect for the both of us.”
The glow from the Christmas tree in the corner of the room wrapped around you both, making this moment even more cherishable.
Everything made this a moment you knew you both would remember.
“Woonhak,” you whispered again, this time softer, turning your gaze back to the tree. You leaned your own head on his shoulder, and he immediately tilted his own to rest against yours as he hummed in acknowledgment for you to continue speaking.
“I’m really happy.”
His grip on your hands tightened, showing how grateful he was.
“Me too,” he said, warmth filling his tone. “More than you know.”
Along with the tree glowing and your fingers intertwined in the quiet warmth of his apartment, Christmas was already starting to feel like home.
That was when everything started to settle in.
He was the first.
The first person that you ever decorated a Christmas tree with.
And to him, that meant so much more than he knew how to put it into words.
Everything helped him to understand how important he found first times to be. It wasn’t simply just something special—it was something precious as well.
And Woonhak was truly—deeply—happy to be the one to be sharing it with you.

Sungho – wc: 131
He shows up at your place with blood on his knuckles and a cocky tilt to his grin. You don’t say anything at first. Just grab the first aid kit and sit him down.
“Seriously?” you mutter. “Again?”
“He deserved it.”
“They always do, huh?”
He winces when you dab at the cut, but he doesn’t flinch away.
The next day, you leave cupcakes on his porch—pink frosting, heart sprinkles, and a note that says, “Try problem-solving without your fists. Start with frosting.”
You don’t expect a response, but later your phone buzzes: “Too sweet. Just like you. I ate five.”
You shake your head, smiling, because of course he did.
Riwoo – wc: 155
You catch him feeding a stray cat behind the gas station, crouched low like he’s hiding something illegal.
“You’re serious about this?” you ask, stepping closer. “You hiding your side hustle as a cat dad?”
He rolls his eyes. “I’m not a cat dad.”
“Okay, so this one’s stalking you?”
He doesn’t answer. Just scratches the cat’s ears like he’s done it a hundred times.
You pull a granola bar from your bag and offer it. The cat eats it. He watches you with that unreadable look.
“You naming him or what?”
“Only if you don’t tell anyone,” he mutters.
“Cross my heart,” you say, smiling.
The next week, you show up with a tiny hand-knit cat sweater.
He calls it stupid.
He also keeps it.
Jaehyun – wc: 143
You show up to the party in pastels and glossed lips, feeling like the only splash of color in a house full of dark hoodies and half-hearted beer pong. You spot Jaehyun leaning on the porch railing, cigarette glowing faintly in the dark. His eyes find you fast. They always do.
When you leave, he’s suddenly beside you. He doesn’t ask. Just walks.
“You always follow girls home?” you ask, trying to sound casual.
“Just the ones who dress like a cupcake but walk like they own the street,” he says, not even glancing your way.
You scoff, but your heart’s racing.
He keeps his hands in his pockets, but when a car slows near the curb, his body shifts in front of you, subtle and sure.
You pretend not to notice. He knows you do.
Taesan – wc: 119
You’re talking to someone from yearbook—nice, clean-cut, smiley. He’s sweet. Harmless.
What you don’t notice is Taesan across the courtyard, watching with narrowed eyes, arms crossed like he’s weighing something.
He finds you after class, corners you at your locker.
“You into him?”
You blink. “Who?”
“That guy. From lunch.”
“Oh. No. He’s just… friendly.”
He steps closer, voice low. “Good. ‘Cause if you were, I’d have to pretend I don’t care. And I don’t lie well.”
Your brain short-circuits.
And just like that, he walks away, leaving you blushing and grinning like a lovesick idiot.
Leehan – wc: 193
The storm knocks the power out at his place. Yours went out earlier—and worse—so you showed up with wet hair and cold fingers, and he didn’t say much. Just opened the door, handed you one of his hoodies, and muttered, “Don’t drip on the floor.”
Now you’re both on the living room floor, wrapped in mismatched blankets with one flickering candle between you. He leans back against the wall, black hoodie, silver rings, and that usual calm that’s more dangerous than loud.
“I never pictured you being scared of thunder,” he says, lips curled just slightly.
“I’m not scared,” you lie.
Then, thunder crashes again—and you flinch.
He doesn’t say I told you so. Doesn’t tease again. Just reaches over, pulls you into his side like it’s nothing, and settles you there.
You feel his fingers brush over the frilly edge of your sleeve, slow and absent, like he’s thinking about something and not saying it.
“You’re safe, princess,” he murmurs. “You can stop pretending now.”
And slowly, with your cheek pressed against his chest and his scent in your lungs, you actually do.
Woonhak – wc: 149
You’re at lunch when you overhear two girls behind you.
“He’s just messing with her. Guys like him don’t date girls like that.”
“She’s probably just a phase.”
You snap.
“He’s better than any of the guys you’ve dated. He actually listens. He shows up. Last week he stood in the rain with me for an hour just because I didn’t want to be alone. So maybe mind your business.”
They go quiet.
Later, Woonhak finds you behind the gym, hands stuffed in your jacket.
“You didn’t have to say anything,” he says.
“I know. I wanted to.”
He leans in, kisses you quick and breathless, hand cupping your cheek like you’re something delicate.
And he doesn’t say it—but you know he’s never felt more seen.

You would die for Kim Woonhak’s laugh. The kind of laugh you could recognise anywhere, anytime. A laugh that colours the sky. Woonhak has been by your side for as long as you can remember. He knows everything about you, except one thing.
You’re in love with him. But, how could you tell that to someone who doesn’t even believe in love?
“Love is overrated.” Woonhak had said, as he popped a gummy worm into his mouth. He turned to you as he chewed on the gummy worm. “Don’t you think?”
The two of you were young back then, but his words never left your mind. Woonhak only cared about music. Music is the only thing he loves, his passion for it swirling behind his eyes. How you wish he would love you the way he loves music.
You’re polar opposites. Woonhak is sunshine, bright and warm. You, on the other hand, are like the moon, cold and distant. You read him like a book, and he’s the clueless little kid. Always surprised that you know what he thinks even though it’s written all over his face.
Even though you try your best, you can't help falling for him, you’re hopelessly captivated. What you would give for you to get your feet back on the ground and your head off the clouds.
“Hey, you coming, y/n?”
Woonhak’s voice pulls you out of your thoughts. You blink up at him, the sunlight that had been warming up your face now blocked by his silhouette. He’s standing over you, casting a shadow.
The way he calls your name makes you only fall deeper and deeper, like you’d fade away somehow if he's too loud. His voice is soft and tender, only when calling out your name.
“Where to?” you ask, shielding your eyes from the sun still peeking around his frame. You hope he can’t see the way you’re looking at him.
He grins, lazy and bright. “I don’t know. You've been lying there forever. Let’s go do something fun.”
Before you can answer, his hands wrap around your forearms, tugging you up. His touch sends a spark right through you, and you hate how easily it shows on your face.
“You’re restless,” you say, brushing imaginary grass from your clothes just to avoid his gaze.
He shrugs, still holding your arms longer than he needs to. “Maybe. Or maybe I just wanted an excuse to pull you up.”
Your heart stumbles, but he’s already walking ahead, like he hadn’t just said something that makes your head spin.
It drives you crazy how he can look you dead in the eye and stay unaware. Can’t he feel the electricity between the two of you surging through the air?
You always follow Woonhak into everything, pranks, jokes, anything. He glances back at you, carefree. Humming some tune under his breath. Probably a melody he’s working on.
You hate it.
You hate how he can look at you like that, with stars in his eyes, like nothing’s burning inside you. You hate how soft his laugh is when you accidentally hit your hand on the corner of the table and say something under your breath. You hate how your heart aches for him in a way that’s loud, and clear, and real.
“Why can’t we just say what we want?”
He stops walking and turns to look at you.
You’re already blinking back tears, and that only makes you angrier at him and at yourself. “Why can’t you just once disregard the world, and run toward what you know is real?”
He stares at you like you’ve just cracked open something sacred. “y/n…”
You shake your head, your voice trembling and your fists clenched at your sides. “Why can’t we for once just feel what we feel and say it out loud? Why do we pretend like we don’t see it? Why do you keep pretending like you don’t feel it?”
Your chest is rising and falling too fast. The words are catching in your throat.
“I hear your heart, Woonhak. I’ve heard it a thousand times, even when we’re not touching, even across the room. I see right through you.”
He doesn’t move or speak, but his eyes are soft and locked on you. He looks at you like you’re his whole world.
The tears you’ve been holding back fall from your eyes, down your cheeks and onto the ground. You’re angry at yourself for loving someone who looks you in the eye every day like you’re the sun, but never says it out loud.
“Why are you crying?” he says softly. His voice is quiet and gentle in a way that only makes it worse.
You almost laugh, but your voice breaks. “Because it’s killing me. I’m so tired of pretending that this isn’t real.”
Then he steps forward, slowly. Like you’re a bird he’s afraid to startle. He hesitantly reaches for your hand, and you don’t pull away. His palm is warm against yours, and his heart is still beating loudly. You can feel it just by standing near him.
“I’m scared,” he says. “Because if I say it out loud it becomes real. And real things can fall apart.”
You look up, through the blur of your tears.
“Not if you stop running from them.” You whisper, “We can still try.”
He swallows and his grip on your hand tightens. You see the hesitation in his eyes, but there’s also something else.
Your fingers are still tangled in his, and neither of you moves.
“I don’t know how to do this,” Woonhak says quietly. “I’ve spent so long convincing myself that love wasn’t for me.”
You shake your head, a small, sad smile on your lips. “You can lie to yourself all you want, but I know you, Woonhak. I see the way you care. The way you look at me when you think I’m not watching.”
“I don’t want to lose you,” he says. “If we try and it doesn’t work–”
“But what if it does?”
You feel his fingers tremble slightly in yours.
Then, softly, he brings your joined hands to his chest and presses them against the place where his heart is beating so fast, so loud, you’re sure the whole world could hear it if they only tried.
“You’ve always felt like home,” He whispers.
You squeeze his hands gently. “Then stay,” You whisper.
“I will,” He murmurs.
He brushes his thumb over the back of your hand, and he looks at you again with that soft and loving look he has had on his face for a long time now.
“So what now?”
“Now?” he echoes. “Now I take a leap.”
And slowly, carefully, he leans in. Not too fast or bold. Just enough for you to meet him halfway. Your forehead touches his.
He smiles and his heartbeat still pounds against your joined hands. The two of you can feel it. The quiet, electric current that’s always existed between you.
hii can i req for terms of endearment that bnd would call their s/o? ><
yes of course ~~ sorry i got to this ask vv late!! thank u for ur patience my love <333 hope i didn’t disappoint! this is written w fem!reader in mind, but some are gender neutral ^^
terms of endearment w/ bonedo
sungho calls you by (your name) and dear. your name itself is a term endearment for sungho. often there are times when he will just call out for you repeatedly with nothing else to add just because he likes to say it so much. as for dear, it’s simply what you are to him: the most precious person in his life.
alt. names: babe, princess, pumpkin
our riwoo is a bit traditional when using pet names, his most used being honey and sweetie. he addresses you like one would for their spouse of 30+ years; proof of a bond that will last long beyond your last breaths. everyone always points out how envious they are of your relationship. ><
alt. names: dear, love, my love, sweetheart
myungjae is absolutely shameless when it comes to loving you; of which includes calling you various pet names. at his point, he has called you every one under the sun (although he WILL whine if you call him bro). however, he does admit that his favorite to use + receive is baby. doubts about jaehyun’s love for you are rare because he always calls out for you soso sweetly, eye smile and all.
alt names: jagi, yeobo, wifey
now our resident romantic... han taesan has pretty girl, darling and doll written all over him. these are mainly attributed to how striking (beautiful) he finds you. it’s sickening—the slight mischief laced in his voice whenever he calls for you. it’s almost like he understands what effects his words have on you and chooses to torture you on purpose (naughty, naughty)!!
alt. names: baby, jagi, bunny
leehan is particular when it comes to pet names. he wants to be special so he calls you (a loving name based off of one of your features), angel, and pretty. he will even go as far as telling you not to let other people call you these things. he wants to be the only one (okay gatekeeper!!…). he also jumps at the chance to learn terms of endearment in your native language.
alt. names: mi amor, bub, cutie
given the innate boyish charm that woonhak possesses, he gets a bit more playful with his approaches. he isn’t afraid to pull out bro or loser (but never in a hurtful way)… and don’t let him EVER hear about pookie, because i fear you’ll never hear the end of it from him. but when unhak is feeling more #romantic, he will pull out babe.
warnings: TW SCHOOL 👎, written in lowercase, there’s a curse word here and there…, No Beta We Die Like Men (not proofread very well lmao)
a/n: wrote this while i was procrastinating studying for my final exams :,) soooo these r self indulgent hoohohoh ... enjoy :3
reblogs ↺ + feedback always appreciated!
°❀⋆.ೃ࿔*:・sungho
tbh i feel like he’s the type to not study and just. be perfect idk
sungho pays attention in class so he doesn’t feel the need to review extensively before the exam … COULD NOT BE ME!!!!
with that being said tho, he’s the perfect tutor ^_^
sungho will definitely be right by your side as you’re doing the exam review packet, waiting to see if you get stumped on a particular question
when you do, he walks you through the steps you got stuck on, making sure you /actually/ understand the content rather than just doing whatever he tells you to do
and if he isn’t able to be physically there with you, he will literally be on standby bc he’s so used to you calling him for help the night before the exam :,)
he is SO patient too. especially because he sees how hard you’re working and he just wants to see all of your hard work pay off
sometimes you’ll feel bad because you feel like you’re taking up too much of his time just because you don’t understand the material
but he’s so quick to reassure you about it all bc he genuinely doesn’t mind, and he will MAKE SURE you know that
✐ᝰ
you place your head into your hands for the nth time that night, groaning at the way you can’t seem to memorize the right definitions. sungho chuckles from the other side of the phone, knowing exactly how you look despite not being able to see you right now. “everything okay over there?”
“i’ve been studying for so long and it still doesn’t make any sense,” taking a look at the time, you realize it’s later than you expected. “you know, you really don’t need to help me study right?”
“how many times do i have to tell you that–”
“yeah, i know you don’t mind, but i always feel bad keeping you awake any later than you need to be.” of course you’d take all the help you could get, but you don’t have it in you to hold him hostage again for the sake of your grade. “...goodnight, sungho!” you end the call before he has any chance to reassure you any further.
…you’re not surprised when you get a knock on your door 20 minutes later, opening it to see sungho with a bunch of snacks in one hand and his backpack slung over his shoulder. “are you still going to turn me down after i went through all the trouble of coming over?”
°❀⋆.ೃ࿔*:・ jaehyun
he’s so annoying to study with (endearingly) but i feel like a study sesh with him would guarantee you are getting a good grade on your exams
since he’s so hardworking i feel like he’d immediately call you out if you were getting sidetracked when you weren’t supposed to be
or if he doesn’t…. him being Ultra Locked In only makes You feel like you Also need to be Ultra Locked In
it’s honestly kind of scary how On Top Of Business jae can be when he needs to study…. bc he’s normally pretty hyper Every Other Time, you didn’t know he was capable of being so quiet for an extended period of time
it’s suuuuper impressive how seriously he takes his studies though… sometimes you’ll stop him when you have a question about something and he’ll explain it with EASE before immediately getting back into the zone
bad news for yappers because jaehyun is NOT entertaining the conversation unless he is Also taking a break. if anything he might even be the type to side-eye the people being too loud in the library because he doesn’t want them to distract you
honestly though it’ll probably help you get a lot more done
even though he studies like his life depends on it, i think he’s really good when it comes to balancing the work so your brain isn’t fried too quickly
i fully believe he will like. have some weird ass Study “Hacks” that lowkey make no sense but you entertain them bc he’s a cutiepatootie :3
✐ᝰ
the rustling from the other side of the table takes your attention away from your laptop, taking off one earbud before asking the boy across from you what he was doing. jaehyun doesn’t turn to answer, instead continuing to dig through the various compartments of his backpack for who knows what. “you know about superfoods and stuff?”
“...yeah? what does that have to do with what we’re studying though?” you let out a soft laugh, unsure about where he’s going with this conversation.
“well, i heard that if you eat five almonds everyday it makes you smarter. there was a study on it and everything, i swear.” you raise your eyebrow at his words, finding it hard not to roll your eyes at the ridiculous “fact” he just proposed. moments later, he’s plopping a ziploc bag full of almonds in the middle of the table, looking incredibly satisfied with himself.
you watch as he counts five almonds for the both of you, motioning for your hand to pass your portion over. “why don’t we just eat a ton of almonds so we become geniuses?” you move to reach for the bag to grab more, before he snatches it away from you.
“no, we can’t do that. the limit is five almonds, or else it starts reversing the effects,” jaehyun tosses an almond into the air and catches it with his mouth. “or something like that, i didn’t actually read the study.” he grins at you from his side of the table, making you laugh in disbelief before resuming your work, almonds by your side.
°❀⋆.ೃ࿔*:・ taesan
personally i think taesan is the type to just. periodically check in from time to time while you’re studying
he seems like the type to focus best when he’s completely in his own space, so he wants to give you that same space (especially if he’s working on music, he doesn’t want to bother you with the noise)
….but that doesn’t mean he’s completely ignoring you while you’re out in the living room hunched over all your papers
he’d probably ask if you wanted to do the pomodoro method with him LMFAOOO like. you do work for 50 minutes and then u get a 10 min break
it honestly helps make the work go by faster bc you’re just looking forward to your next break w/ him :,)
when the fifty minutes is up and it’s time for both of your breaks, he’s so excited to come out of his room and just Recharge with you. simply seeing you quite literally gives him enough energy to go back to whatever he’s currently working on
if he found you too burnt out from studying for so long, he’d make an exception to his rules & he’d let you take a longer break bc he knows how much effort you’ve been putting into prepping for your tests
✐ᝰ
you were only halfway into your fifty-minute work interval, but taesan could sense something was wrong when he left his room to get some water. instead of taking notes like you were earlier, your pen was left abandoned on the side of your textbook as you frowned down onto the blur of words you were trying to take in.
taesan knows how hard it is to keep working when you hit a mental roadblock– he knows how badly you need to study right now, but it’ll be no use trying to force yourself when you clearly need to step away. he peeks around the corner, clearing his throat to catch your attention.
“hm?” you tilt your head as you look up from your notebook, frustration clearly written all over your face. it almost pains him to see you so stressed over exams. “is it time for break already? i could’ve sworn i just started–”
“maybe you just got so into it that you didn’t realize how much time passed,” he bluffs, walking up to the table. “do you want to see what i’ve been working on? i feel like i need a second opinion on it, something isn’t quite right with the melodies.”
taesan finds it cute how your face lights up immediately; you were clearly looking for any excuse to walk away from your work, but you knew you’d feel guilty if you had no good reason to do so. since taesan really needs your help, it’s fine… right?
°❀⋆.ೃ࿔*:・ leehan
idk something makes me feel like leehan just dgaf LOLOLOL but he’s definitely not going to bother you much unless you’re taking a break or something
i don’t think he puts too much effort into studying but he’s definitely just going to be in your general vicinity so you don’t get too lonely looking at your computer screen for so long… he’s just there in spirit
if u were in the same class & u asked him what Something Meant… he genuinely could not tell you unless it was about a topic he was actually interested in. bro just has his laptop open to feel included yk
i think he’d be the type to see you frustrated over whatever concept you can’t seem to get right & literally Make You take a break so you can clear your mind
you didn’t realize it while you were too focused on doing work, but he’s constantly been catering to your every need so you don’t get distracted
like he made sure your water bottle was refilled every time you finished it
turned up the heat in the apartment when he noticed you shivering
opening curtains so the sun lights up your workspace n makes it less stuffy :,)
i totally see him as the type to stay up as long as you are, even if he isn’t studying with you
again. just the idea of him wanting to keep you company so you don’t feel lonely ARRGHHHHH
like maybe he’s just sitting at the table w/ you as he watches u do work (like a freako) ((I need him so bad))
even if he falls asleep in the process… at least he’s nearby in case you need him…. (he wakes up every now and then to make sure you’re doing OK)
✐ᝰ
you can’t help but turn around when you hear all the commotion your friend (he’s in love w/ you btw) is currently making in the kitchen behind you. sensing your gaze, he looks back slowly, giving you a sheepish smile. “i know i’m being loud, but i’m doing this for you, okay?”
before you get the chance to question what he meant, he’s balancing a tray in his hands as he makes his way over to your desk. it’s adorned with anything you could possibly want during your study session– a steaming cup of tea, a plate of fresh fruit cut into cute shapes, a bag of your favorite chips, some of the gummies you two were sharing earlier, and even a bottle of painkillers for the eventual headache you’ll get from looking at the screen for too long.
you could honestly cry; it wasn’t a grand gesture, but you’ve been so overwhelmed trying to meet all the deadlines you’d made for yourself recently that you’ve been neglecting your own needs in the process. leehan’s clearly proud of himself as he takes a seat next to you, resting his head on his palm as he watches you. “you’re not gonna study with me?” you question, popping a piece of fruit into your mouth as you look at him. after all, you did ask to study together.
“i was kind of hoping being next to you while you reviewed would transfer all the knowledge to me.” his eyes turn to crescents as he grins at you. you guess that works too.
°❀⋆.ೃ࿔*:・ riwoo
riwoo would prefer to do work specifically at home bc he likes to be comfy if he’s gonna spend a majority of the day studying
with this being said tho… he’s restless. he moves every hour bc it claims it helps him focus if he changes up his surroundings every once in a while
def going to put on some music and maybe light some candles so you aren’t too miserable trying to learn so much content the day before the exam … he’s all for setting the vibes PERFECT for the study sesh
i like to think riwoo has like. a system he uses to keep the both of you motivated while studying (i do this. im projecting)
like…. if you both get the next 10 practice problems right… you can share the slice of cake waiting in fridge LOL or maybe if you finish writing one more paragraph of your essay, then you can go lay in bed for seven minutes idk i think he’d be really random with it
riwoo always says that you guys are gonna take a “short” break but it usually ends up 3x longer than you intended
he’d say “maybe we should take the dogs for a walk to get a breather before getting back to work”
and then you come back 40 minutes later bc you two got distracted letting daebak and jangyi play with all the other dogs in the park T_T
he’s 100% the type to try and discreetly watch tiktok or something when you’re both supposed to be doing work and it plays on full volume (woonhak would too but he would not try to hide it)
honestly i feel like he’d get tired of his own studies at some point, but i know he’d stay with you to help you review or just to encourage you to keep going <3
✐ᝰ
you’re welcomed with warm lighting and the sweet aroma of a seasonal candle as riwoo opens his front door, daebak in his arms and jjangyi wandering around the room behind him. it’s a familiar environment; you’ve gotten used to doing work with riwoo in the comfort of his own home, finding it much easier to focus there than any of the popular study spots on campus.
you’re sitting at the dining table, one paragraph of your essay on the verge of completion. riwoo is sprawled across the couch, his laptop laying haphazardly on his chest as he swipes across the trackpad. “do you remember that takeout place we passed by last week? i was thinking we should order some later once we get hungry!”
“...are you looking at the menu right now?”
“well, no…” you glance at him from your seat, clearly doubtful. “...okay, maybe i am. i can’t focus when all i can think about is how good it smelled walking by the place!” he groans, shutting his laptop and placing it on the coffee table beside him before moving to a more comfortable position on his couch.
he’s so quiet that you almost forget he’s there when you’re locked into your essay, snapped out of your zone when he sighs dramatically, not having moved an inch since you last looked at him. you’re not sure why he’s the one in distress when he hasn’t touched his laptop in nearly forty minutes.
“y/nnnnn…. i don’t wanna study for my classes,” you don’t have it in you to scold him, especially when he’s the one letting you work at his place to begin with, but you can’t just let him do nothing the whole time. “can you take a break so i don’t die of boredom over here?”
“okay, how about you come over here and help me proofread my paper, then we can get food once i finish?” he makes his way over to you, using his socks to slide across the wooden floors in the process, more than happy to occupy himself with something if it meant he got to hang out with you afterwards!
°❀⋆.ೃ࿔*:・ woonhak
finals season with woonhak honestly seems like it would be hell LMFAOOOOOO
genuinely i think he’s the last person i’d ask to study just because i feel like procrastinator x procrastinator is a DEAD END!!!
no shade but the chances of both of you locking in at the same time are little to NONE.
trying to be accountability buddies for each other genuinely doesn’t work because. he just doesn’t want to study ☠️
bro is definitely trying to convince you that you don’t need to study (you desperately do)
and even IF…. you guys both start working…. it genuinely doesn’t last long LOLOLOL
woonhak literally cannot shut the hell up when he’s doing work for some reason. everything needs to have some sort of commentary, even if you guys aren’t even studying for the same class
if you didn’t also Need To Study, it’d be pretty funny to hear him complaining about getting every other question wrong…. and his periodic comments are NOT helping 😭
but bc of that i think he’s the most willing to stay up late with you to study just because you wasted so much time doing Who Knows What that you both feel like you need to pull an all nighter if you want to pass that test YIKES
u eventually both feel SO GUILTY bc you wasted so much time doing NOTHING productive and it’s already 11pm…. guess you have to make up for it by ACTUALLY being productive until 4am . . . .
the urgency finally kicks in and you actually ARE clocked tf in until you’re literally forced to get out of the library
✐ᝰ
the security guard working the front desk at the library gives the two of you a quizzical look as you walk through the doors at 11:37pm, whereas most of the other students tend to wrap up their studies around this time. this wasn’t out of the ordinary for you and woonhak– you knew what you were getting yourself into when you first texted him asking him if he was free to study earlier in the day.
just a couple hours ago, the two of you were seated on the floor of his dorm, pages of notes sprawled across the carpet in a pathetic attempt to try and make a game plan for a semesters-worth of material you had to learn before the final tomorrow. it was almost laughable the way neither of you could make sense of the content in front of you.
“how is it that we’ve gone to every lecture and we still don’t know what’s going on?” it’s a useless question, given that neither of you are capable of providing any sort of explanation.
“have you seen that video where they rub their notes on their heads to try and send the information to your brain–”
“woonhak, you know that doesn’t actually work, right?”
“right. i just wanted to know if you saw it too. haha.” there’s an air of silence between you two as you both realize how screwed you actually are for the test, but nobody dares to speak it into existence. “should we go to the arcade before we start studying?”
…and that’s how you found yourself set up in one of the booths in the far corner of the library (obviously after wasting three hours and twenty bucks at the claw machines), the tabletop adorned with a jumbled mix of your shared review problems, scrap paper balled up in a growing pile, and two freshly-opened energy drinks. you’re both lucky that the library doesn’t close for another couple hours, you needed all the time you could get to try and burn the information into your brains.
when you walk out of the exam room, seeing woonhak laying on a bench outside & using his backpack as a makeshift pillow as he waits for you to finish, you can’t help at chuckle at the look of defeat on his face. it’s funny the way your eye bags match his own; you’ve definitely seen each other at your lowest at this point.
“so…how do you think you did?”
“can we talk about this after i take a nap at your dorm for, i don’t know, three days?”

BOYFRIEND WOONHAK WHO WOULD... brag about you to literally everyone.
You barely step into the café before Woonhak spots you, his face lighting up instantly. “There they are!” he announces, waving you over as his friends turn to look.
“Oh no,” you mutter under your breath, already bracing yourself.
Woonhak, completely oblivious to your embarassement, slings an arm around your shoulder the moment you reach him. “Guys, have I mentioned that they're the best? Like, actually the best? I don’t know how I got this lucky.”
His friends groan in unison. “You mention it every time.”
“And yet, it’s still not enough,” Woonhak declares proudly, grinning down at you. “Anyway, did I tell you they—”
You sigh, but you can’t help smiling as you nudge him. “Enough, Woon.”
“Never,” he replies, beaming.
BOYFRIEND WOONHAK WHO WOULD... pout if you didn’t give him enough attention, only to break into a huge smile the moment you look his way.
You’re sitting at your desk, completely focused on your work, when you feel a presence beside you. Ignoring it at first, you continue typing, until an exaggerated sigh sounds from beside you.
You glance up to find Woonhak standing there, arms crossed, lips pushed out in the biggest pout you’ve ever seen.
“What?” you ask, raising an eyebrow.
“You’ve been ignoring me for exactly seventeen minutes and thirty-two seconds,” he huffs.
You roll your eyes. “You’ll survive, I need to finish this before the deadline give me a few more minutes.”
Woonhak lets out another dramatic sigh, loudly flopping onto the couch. But the second you turn your chair toward him, his pout vanishes, replaced by a bright, cheeky grin.
“Knew that’d get your attention,” he says, throwing a pillow in your direction.
You shake your head, laughing, before catching the pillow. “You’re impossible.”
“You love me~” he sing-songs, winking.
BOYFRIEND WOONHAK WHO WOULD...never let you go to bed upset, staying up as long as it takes to talk things through and reassure you that everything is okay.
You sit on the edge of the bed, arms wrapped around yourself, staring at the floor. The room is quiet. Woonhak is next to you, his usual playful energy gone.
“Talk to me,” he says softly. No teasing, no jokes just him patiently waiting.
You shake your head, not because you don’t want to, but because you don’t what to say.
Woonhak shifts closer, his fingers brushing yours before he takes your hand fully. “I don’t care how long it takes,” he murmurs. “I just don’t want you to go to sleep feeling like this.”
You swallow and slowly exhale. “I just… I don’t like fighting with you.”
He squeezes your hand gently. “Me neither. But we’ll figure it out, okay?”
“Are you mad at me? Do you hate me?” you murmur, refusing to look him in the eye.
“What? Of course not” he replies, tilting his head until he makes eye contact with you. "I'm not mad at you and I don't hate you. Couples fight, that's normal. I still love you, no matter what."
You nod, and Woonhak pulls you into his arms, holding you close like he has all the time in the world.
BOYFRIEND WOONHAK WHO WOULD... insist on winning you plushies at the arcade, and if he failed, he’d dramatically accuse the machine of being rigged.
The claw hovers over the plushie, Woonhak’s eyes locked on it with intense focus. You hold your breath as he presses the button, watching the metal claws go down, grip the stuffed animal.
Woonhak stands frozen as the stuffed bear tumbles back into the pile. There’s a moment of silence before he turns to you, eyes wide with betrayal. “What was that? I had it!”
"Or maybe you’re just bad at it.” you snort.
He gasps, clutching his chest. “How dare you?” Then, he spins back to the machine, jabbing a finger at it. “This thing is rigged. There’s no way.”
You cross your arms, amused. “So you’re done?”
Woonhak scoffs. “Obviously not. Have you never seen that mining picture, babe. Our next turn might be it!” He steps aside and gestures grandly. “So now it’s your turn. But don’t worry, I’ll coach you.”
You give him a look. “Oh, so now I have to play?”
“Yes,” he says, completely serious. “We win together.”
And just like that, he’s holding you by your shoulders, muttering game strategies like this is the most important mission of your life.
BOYFRIEND WOONHAK WHO WOULD... send you the most ridiculous selfies whenever he is bored
Your phone buzzes, and without even looking, you already know who it is.
Opening the message, you’re greeted by a ridiculously close-up selfie. His face scrunched in a way that somehow makes his nose look huge, chin tucked in for maximum effect.
"thinking about you… but also about chicken nuggets. idk which one i love more"
You giggle, typing out a reply to his text.
"glad to know I rank as high as processed chicken"
Almost immediately, your phone dings again. This time, it’s a picture of him with dramatically wide eyes, one hand over his chest as if your words physically wounded him.
"you don’t get it you and nuggets are my entire world"
Rolling your eyes, you’re about to respond when another picture arrives. This time, it’s him sitting in what looks like a fast-food restaurant, two orders of nuggets in front of him.
"one box is for you. come claim your place in my heart."
You shake your head, laughing to yourself. He’s ridiculous. But you’re already grabbing your jacket.
your existence has ruined me, and i don’t know how to live anymore, because a world without you, is not a world worth living in.

love isn’t always the feeling of elation. it isn’t always the emotion you find comfort in. and it certainly isn’t going to be there after what can only be called as fleeting moments.
that’s what you both believed, but you still held his hand, and he still held yours.
the fear of love consuming you drew a line so distinguished that woonhak couldn’t help but agree with you. he simply smiled with every breath you took, basking in your warmth that barely stays for longer than the hour you spend with him before retreating back inside your shell. but he didn’t mind it; he does the same anyways.
you often ask yourself the same question: what if i fell in love already and i’m just not accepting it?
truth be told, that is the case. you have fallen in love, and you don’t want to accept it.
but it’s impossible not to have fallen so hard when the string you tied around his wrist pulls you closer instead of having been cut off ages ago. the smiles he shares with you, the music he writes for you, and the time he spends with you speaks to you far more than what you wished you had before meeting him.
“angel, are you alright?”
you shake your head out of the trance as you look back at woonhak, getting snapped back to reality as his hand unwrapped around your waist to find its way to yours on the armrest. you’re perched perfectly on top of the boy’s lap, but the position feels far away from the home you thought it would’ve been when you ran away to get to him in the middle of the night.
“ok, just making sure,” he smiled, his tired eyes still glimmering despite how sick he felt of sitting at the same spot, going over the same section of the song he’d been making for weeks now.
the feelings you had for him weren’t one-sided. far from it really.
the notebook on the desk beside the mouse he continuously clicked contained lyrics he could only keep to himself, because to him, his feelings aren’t as important as what is going on between you both right now. his eyes wandered to the leather covered pages every so often, humming the melody to the lyric-less song in your presence.
despite the lack of words, the strings and percussion felt heavy, your eyelids closing once again as you got soaked in the sounds of the studio. the only way you could get through the night was to be alone, but something about it scared you as you listened to what the boy created.
getting close to you leaves me ruined,
but i can’t help finding my way back.
if tonight is my last night with you,
then i hope this night never ends.
meeting you meant losing a part of me,
the part that is now yours forever,
and you should keep it for yourself,
just don’t throw me away first.
the words repeated in his mind as he looped the song, now more so for his own comfort than actually working on refining it. it’s too late into the night anyways, the clock reading 3:01 precisely as the cold air wrapped both the bodies in a layer of the night’s feelings.
you sighed as you nuzzled your head against woonhak’s chest, getting comfortable as you memorized the tune coming from the speakers. and within moments, the cool air got replaced by the warmth of the music the boy you loved created.
soft breaths and your torso moving to a steady rhythm gave him the signal that you’d fallen asleep, pausing the music to tuck away loose strands of your hair that would’ve been fine where they were before.
it’s just another thing he does, doing what anyone would as he wonders the point of it. what’s the point of having you with him if he wasn’t going to push for anything more?
the short answer would’ve been, “yeah, just let it be, don’t bother anymore.” but the answer he feels more aligned with always includes something that could only be described as, “the possibility of being loved by you for a millisecond gives me more to live for than i would’ve thought was possible.”
i wonder if i should tell you what i feel,
but i’m afraid of scaring you away.
i know you deeper than you think you show,
but i’m scared that if i said anything about it,
you wouldn’t spare another glance at me.
you’ve become like my world,
but i only look out to see everything else
hoping that my life would go back to what it was before.
woonhak finally opened his notebook, flipping through the pages as he held you close to him, pulling the chair closer to the table as he carefully leaned over to grab his pen so as to not wake you. the blue ballpoint ink bled through the pages as he pressed it on a blank sheet, but he couldn’t care about that as his mind raced with thoughts. it may have been because you were with him, but he couldn’t let them stay in when he has the chance to let them out.
the pen’s scratching went by fast, words flowing out of him without end as he furrowed his brows in concentration. his feelings ran deep, but so did his concerns, and they were perfectly captured within what the ink left behind, smudges and blots covering the page as his wrist wrote with haste. he couldn’t let his mind work faster than his hand, not caring to write neatly anymore.
‘additional notes lyrics??
i push you away because i’m afraid i’ll become weak.
i don’t want to love you, it will leave me ruined.
i’ve always been ruined, ever since you entered my life.
you come closer the farther i run away.
should i tell you everything?
will you leave or come to me if i do?
that’s what im scared of the most.
you’re ending my sorrows, but you’re becoming a reason for more wounds to form.
will my heart be able to beat without you?
i’m scared the pain i’ve lived with will disappear if i love you, the life i’ve lived changing to something i don’t recognize.
you’ve ruined me, but i like being ruined by you.'
