Welp, Part 3 came out

(you can clearly understand that this is a fanfic from the title itself) At this point, the chapter took so long due to the crappy movie script format I adhered to, and despise so greatly, maybe a read is worth my time spent on it. Since we know next to nothing about WordGirl's time on Lexicon as an infant, that also rises the question. Is she really an only child biologically speaking? It's left to the imagination. Was WordGirl her parents' first and only child? Or does she really have a sibling or siblings, whether if they're older or younger even? Fanfic-wise, most think she has a sister or sisters. It's intriguing to wonder if any of this could be true or if she just has her adoptive brother TJ.

If Wordgirl's parents are still alive, and Lexicon did not blow up like Superman's parents did on planet Krypton, then she could definitely have other siblings. It would make for a great fanfic, for sure. Imagine them coming to Earth... imagine if they were evil... or if they were good and joined forced with Wordgirl?

Where is the main hub for Wordgirl fic? AO3 seems to have LOT of new stuff and FF has like slightly over 400 works... is that just how small the fandom is or is some of it hiding on Wattpad?

AO3 is always the best place to go to find fics, honestly. The tagging system and organization is fantastic and it's where I've found the best fics. This is where most people post their works, regardless of fandom.

There are some good older Wordgirl fics hiding on FF.net, but not much new stuff. Wattpad seems to have 146 Wordgirl stories right now. I have also found fics on tumblr and deviantart. Best of luck in your search!

Sort of discovered this fandom recently, and I was really curious since I was at first like "Wordgirl? Like the thing that aired after Curious George when I was 5???" So I've just gotta ask. Is this fandom new, or has it always been around?? It feels like it just popped up out of nowhere in 2021 and everyone sorta rolled with it. No disrespect btw, I'm loving the vibes here

This fandom has been in existence since the show started in 2007. The first ever Wordgirl fic posted to Fanfiction.net was posted in 2008. I've been involved in the fandom since 2013, though I started this blog much later.

The fandom's popularity exploded during the pandemic (much like the ATLA fandom, though to a much lesser extent). It was great to see so many new people get involved, and with such a diverse range of interests. Everything being shut down for the pandemic gave people more time to think, to create, and engage in fandom culture. Wordgirl has always been something of a hidden gem. The rise of Wordgirl analysis videos has been really cool to see, and they've been getting way more views than I expected for a smaller fandom.

The vibes here are good, everyone is chill, drama is minimal. I hope you have fun.

Odd question but do you know the name of that one villain that i think only makes cameos. The one with the white shirt over the gray long sleeve, green cape, and a beanie with like a black and green version of word girl’s star logo sewn on to it. I’ve always wondered if he had a name.

I really have no idea, sorry. If you had sent in a screenshot or named an episode he’s in, I might have been able to identify this guy for you, but just a description isn’t enough for me to work with. Not all the minor characters have names, so he might not have one, especially if he hasn’t had any lines. 

Anyone in the Wordfam know who this guy is?
