She liked music because it was beyond language. She wrote her lyrics, but that was different. That was poetry. Her lyrics were meant to evoke a feeling, not to make sense.

“Who shot me?!”
You know, going back to observe Misha and Jensen’s Wordless Communication in the latest panel, brings to mind Jared’s Infamous Rant 😒
That happened when someone asked a very pointed question about Destiel (the Confession) at Jensen, specifically about Dean’s reaction. And Jared just horned in without seeming to check to ensure if that was okay.
Jensen, throughout that entire rant, looked like he wanted to interrupt. But given that he’s not a rude person and has clear anxiety, the words were driven out of him - he became speechless.
That is not a good feeling. It’s like a rug being sharply yanked out under you and falling flat on your ass.
That would never happen with Misha. It didn’t. He could have swooped in to distract from the W*lker question, but all it took was A Look to tell that Jensen had this, he was fine.
Rewatching these, I noticed that there is a massive difference between J2 and Cockles.
Respect.
Jared does not respect Jensen. Misha does.

When Words Aren’t Enough

@jaskierswolf, i need to figure out a clean place to tag you
Jaskier was used to Geralt not being exactly vocal, but that didn’t mean he missed the way he told him things. There was a quiet kind of ‘Be careful’ in the way he grabbed his arm before Jaskier could step into the road, not paying attention. When the bed was slightly too small for the two of them, Geralt didn’t say anything but his arm slung around Jaskier’s waist, holding him away from the edge murmured a quiet ‘I’ve got you, get some rest.’
There was a thousand things that Jaskier had spent so long deciphering carefully. He thought about keeping notes, creating a small index of all the words that Geralt would never say but nearly screamed with his actions. ‘I wish you wouldn’t rush into a fight’ was grumbled through his fingers on Jaskier’s jaw as he held his head still, seeing to a nasty cut. Geralt would question him ‘Is this alright?’ in the hesitation of an arm around Jaskier at a festival in some small backwater. Jaskier couldn’t help but beam back, his own nonverbal yes vibrating through him as Geralt pulled him closer.
It wasn’t just the way Geralt’s hands told him things, but his face too. ‘Don’t. Move. Bard.’ was loud and clear across the camp as something moved behind Jaskier in the camp, Geralt’s eyes flashing. ‘Help me and I’ll buy you new lute strings’ seemed to be groaned in the way Geralt rolled his eyes stuck against the wall with some chatty party guest. ‘I really want to kiss you’ was whispered in the way Geralt’s eyes dipped to look at Jaskier’s mouth as they hid in the hall from that same chatty party guest.
There was always a language to traveling with Geralt that was never quite spoken, but Jaskier did his best to learn it anyways. And it had taken time to trust his translations fully. They stood at the cross road where they normally said their good-byes for the season but now, now the hand on Jaskier’s, those scarred fingers slotting into his easily enough, Geralt leaned down and pressed his lips to Jaskier’s. And the words were so simple to understand. “Come with me,” Geralt asked softly, barely pulling away.
Jaskier smiled back at him, and he hoped Geralt could hear it, hear how his heart sang ‘always’.
