Sunday scaries will drive you insane to death!!! Good Morning!!!
I would like to personally thank Quil for handing me a heart attack
*in tears* They’re all just so pretty
Work Call
I turn to find the edge of the
Unexpected morning
Greeting me at quarter
To two.
I am lifted by the warmth of the
unruly greenery
Parting to give way.
Every awakening starts the same
But this one I keep in my heart,
For it reminds me of your
Unhinged mind and unsettling art.
I’m hella amazed right now as I sit on hold that my painkiller and weed high ass is able to keep my professional voice and not burst into giggles like I really want to do over one word the person I’m speaking too said.
I’m so good.
Work Calls || Xera & Hirako
vexxing--vixen:
Cold. Hirako didn’t like the cold. She didn’t like how snow quickly turned to wet on her boots. She didn’t like how overly warm she got whenever she stepped into a heated room after being outside. She didn’t like wearing so many layers just to enjoy the wilderness. And yet, there she was, a camera pressed softly against her eye as she snapped quick photos of the town square. Busy people. Busy businesses. Busy little town. Pulling the camera from her eye, she looks down at the digital display on the camera, lifting a lithe hand to tuck a lock of hair behind her ear, a faint smile spreading over too rosy lips.
As much as she disliked the cold, she enjoyed watching others’ enjoyment. It never ceased to amaze her how much people can enjoy frozen sky water. Snowmen. Ice Skating. Overall winter wonderland festivities. Hell, just people having living. It could make the wet boots and damp clothes almost worth it.
Almost.
But still. Bills needed to be paid. Food needed to be bought and eaten. And scenes like this sold wonderfully to the tourists as post cards and for tourism magazines and brochures. Swiping through multiple photos on her camera, she nods softly to herself before powering the piece of equipment down, reaching for the small backpack-like protective case for it and began to pack the camera away.
Xera walked through the town square, her head ducked against the cold wind, a light jacket her only defense against the elements. Her hands folded around her chest and slid under her armpits, the tips of her fingers seeking the warmth. She never used to need the warmth, but as the flame of her fire was flickering out, Xera found herself growing colder and colder. With each passing day the fire of her magic died and now, with Oliver having to leave, she felt no desire to truly figure out what it was that was causing it.
Xera had resolved herself to her fate, whatever it was. She was alone in all of this. Even her birthday had come and gone without so much as a thought from those that supposedly cared. Her mission as it was, was to get to the shop and warm up as best she could before she had to step back out and head home. She was honestly looking forward to winter leaving them. Maybe then she would feel some warmth again. Or maybe, she was being punished for stealing the warmth she’d had for so long. A fire that perhaps never should have been hers had flourished within her body despite the fact that no fire witch had ever graced the Kamdyn line.
She sighed softly and turned in the direction of her shop. She was sure her sister was already there. Tera had really stepped up and started helping out in the shop, even if Xera knew it wasn’t what the youngest Kamdyn wanted to be doing. She felt bad for needing the help.
Lost in her thoughts, Xera missed the young woman snapping pictures around town, but she did not miss the snowball that hit her in the head as a much of kids ran past laughing. Xera scowled and within a second a gust of wind passed through so strong that it caused many in its path to struggle to stay standing. That wiped the scowl away from her lips. “The weather is weird in this town,” she said under her breath. Pleased with herself.
