Abraham Lincoln said that life is that which goes away on between the time you clock in and clock out.
My fellow small biz owners have been flooding my DMs with solidarity. I know it looks like we are constantly in one disaster or another, & we love you for being SO INTENSELY SUPPORTIVE. The truth is, all our small biz struggles are pretty universal. We’re just more transparent about it than most.
tl;dr, plz show your favorite indies some love. We’re all always going through it, except maybe the independently wealthy passion projects. 😂❤️
How I feel listening to my coworker instruct us to use ChatGPT to make accessible images for work.
It's been one of those days, pass the magical girl anime
I get a good holiday week where I can finally start to recover from burnout and three of my coworkers all ask me to cover their shifts on my days off...
I know that everyone here has been a dumbass at least once but I am never letting String Gummy Cookie live down the whole “Rabbit Incident.”
So for context, a few months ago the Director finally decides that oh, maybe we are understaffed, actually. (apparently we needed a bunch of employees to die or go AWOL during a temporal catastrophe to come to this conclusion).
The problem is that Cookie Resources is also understaffed (usually recruitment is done manually by the Director or Dark Fondue Cookie), so suddenly recruiting and training more cookies becomes everyone’s job.
We also had to train the new recruits.
It’s pretty clear at this point that no one knows what they’re doing. Dark Fondue is putting pressure on everyone but not giving any clear instructions. I’m fine because whatever, I’ll make it work.
it turns out that String Gummy’s brilliant idea for recruitment training for the TID was to go to DINOSAUR TIMES and release a rabbit.
I guess the plan was to just be like “ok go get it” and let the interns chase a rabbit around for a while but why he felt the need to send everyone THAT far back in time for it is beyond me.
Unsurprisingly this is all super negligent and risky for no reason at all and Timekeeper used the opportunity to make things worse so practically everyone at the TBD got sucked into fixing all the bullshit that happened afterwards.
ah yes, a “training drill.”
fantastic work, everyone.
