You ever just feel like... so stressed for reasons you can’t even figure out and it also kinda makes you want to cry in frustration for almost no reason at all?
No? Just my depression? Okay.
You know how there are days where you appreciate Tony Stark, and then there are days where you absolutely cherish him?
Those rough days when you maybe don’t get much support from your family/friends (and are told to toughen up or have more worries piled on) or maybe just getting repeatedly put down for doing something you believe in. Those days where the odds seem insurmountable, but you still have that fire, that hope, though diminished somewhat.
Then you remember Tony Stark and how he made it through. He held on to his beliefs and tried his best to do better. He built something out of the ashes. He went from ‘a man who has everything and nothing’, to someone with purpose. He found his own family. He is a beacon of hope.
We see this suave character who appears to thrive in the limelight, but is in actuality, a secret dork who prefers the company of his creations and close friends/found family. It’s comforting to know, that someone of such brilliance has his flaws and yet finds a way to carry on and adapt, in the constant hope for a better future. A better tomorrow.
Sure, he’s a fictional character, but as representation of PTSD, anxiety and working through his issues to become better, he’s very real indeed.
