I don't post on here very often because I'm pursuing a psychology degree and I work part time.
Here's the thing... I'm disabled
I say this not to be special, but to tell other people with chronic disease, debilitating conditions, and any other reason you can't work
don't let those of us that are disabled and can work devalue you.
If you can't work, that is okay. I got lucky, I found doctors that helped me and my disability is the type that can be managed.
You may not have that luxury and that is valid.
YOU ARE VALID!!!
Those of you that can work, STOP dismissing other people's reality. You may THINK they just don't want to work and you think they can... YOU ARE WRONG.
That is NOT your call to make.
I fucking work with all kinds of people as a peer support provider and I can tell you, you can NEVER assume something about anyone.
We should not be divided. We are stronger together.
STOP JUDGING OTHER PEOPLE BASED ON WHAT YOU THINK THEY SHOULD BE ABLE TO DO!
If you are disabled and can work, that's amazing.
If you can't work, for whatever reason, you are still valid. I see you. You matter.
And remember... we are a stronger community when we support each other.
