#working with bacteria

In today’s lab, we examined our culture samples which were done in the previous class about 48 hours ago. Our main objective was to get a sample of bacteria from a contaminated table and transfer it to our TSA plate. Eventually after we incubated the samples at 25°c And after those 48 hours this is how our results came about.

As you can see, we have different types of bacteria and it is a mixed culture due to the different shapes and colors that are present in the plates. I really love this class and I enjoy the different things we are learning and doing in the laboratory. 🧪🥼🧫

Hey all! I Just wanted to show what I did from lab 4 today!

We compared our E. coli growth to our “T” tsa plate. In the “T” plate, I spread my e.coli from the top to the sides.. what I should’ve done was lightly glide it over with my loop and add little colonies on the third part/quadrant. This is how we learn!

When comparing them both together, you can see the different texture from plate 1 vs plate 2 “T plate”. We can also see little colonies of e.coli on the T plate in the third quadrant (3rd part).
