Book Worm woes:
The downside of hunting physical books is when you realise you have to go down the rabbit hole of second-hand sellers because the book you want is no longer in circulation. 🥲
There will be instances where you'll have to pay a large shipping fee for a second-hand book that someone is selling for pennies because it's just not available in your country anymore
Or you'll come across sellers like Awesomebooks or worldofbooks that don't keep track of their stock and will use stockphotos and auto generated information to fill out a listing.
I bought 2 graphic novels from 'worldofbooks', and they arrived damaged with large stickers over page art, missing and torn pages, and their customer service was awful about refunding me.
Awesomebooks tried to suggest that a book that had a release date pushed back to November would still arrive to me in the original estimated date of February. When I contacted customer service, they doubled down, suggesting my book would still arrive on time.. despite it not even being published yet. 😬
Try and stick to sellers that have accurate pictures of the books and always double-check the ISBN numbers to make sure you're getting the version that you want.
