Because fuck if that's true then yeah, no wonder he went absolutely batshit on Maul

Personally, I think Anakin would blame Maul for how his life turned out. Maul killing Qui-gon set into motion Anakin falling to the darkside, since he lost the first surrogate father he ever had and was left in the care of Obi-wan who he never really trusted to guide him as the chosen one.
Theres also comics and stories that explore how Mauls's actions permanently scared him as a child, so he built training droids based on Mauls fighting style so he could learn how to destroy him.
