Personally, I think Anakin would blame Maul for how his life turned out. Maul killing Qui-gon set into motion Anakin falling to the darkside, since he lost the first surrogate father he ever had and was left in the care of Obi-wan who he never really trusted to guide him as the chosen one.

Theres also comics and stories that explore how Mauls's actions permanently scared him as a child, so he built training droids based on Mauls fighting style so he could learn how to destroy him.

This piece is a tribute to Maul’s arc and his tragic legacy, heavily inspired by Jean-Baptiste Carpeaux’s “Ugolino and His Sons”. The way Filoni and the writers handled Maul’s story actually disintegrated my soul. He is a man who turned to stone to survive his own life, unwittingly crushing his own innocence and dragging his brothers into the abyss with him. I am officially unwell.

Being an otaku and a scifi-nerd, I'm always ecstatic to find Japanese companies collaborating with my favourite franchises. This year, I managed to get my hands on both the Bandai Tamashii Nations Sohei Darth Maul Action Figurine AND Kia Asamiya Star Wars episode I: Volumes 1 & 2 manga.

I thought I had completed my Darth Maul collection until the Shadow Lord series merch came out, but I'm always left pleasantly surprised by what I can find online. 💕

Both were found second-hand on the Vinted app.
