Best and worst date you have ever been on?

Wow. I need to go way back in time ahaah

Worst date ever: so there was this guy who was really into me. He asked me out a couple of times and I always rejected but he was so insistent that in the end I accepted. I thought, you know, I'll say yes, go on the date, and then tell him it didn't work. Well... he brought me to buy ice cream, and went on and on and on about how beautiful our kids would be. I was fourteen. I ran away with my ice cream still intact in my hands.

Best date: ummm. That would be the first date with my ex, woops ahaah but all I remembered of the guy was that he had this incredible voice and when we met again for our first date he said "hello" and I knew that whatever we'd do or whatever he'd say, I wouldn't have cared as long as he kept talking. (It ended badly three years later, but still 😂)

Best date? Worst date?

Oooh that’s tough... best date was with this guy I dated out in Boston, he took me to this cute small Italian restaurant and we sat at the bar, sipping specialty cocktails and just feeling really comfortable in where we stood in our relationship. We had good and important conversations before we went to see Sia in concert, who was my absolute favorite artist at the time, and he surprised me with fucking amazing seats when I thought we were gonna be in the nosebleeds. I was so surprised and just felt very understood.

Worst date (not counting bad Grindr hookups)... was also in Boston, at this tiny basement bar with way overpriced drinks that he assumed I’d pay for (he just outright said that when we got there). He talked about himself and only himself the entire time, no exaggeration. He rambled about his exes, his family drama, his current flings, on and on for over an hour. He realized as we were leaving he didn’t even know my name, which he didn’t seem too concerned about. So weird and so bad lol

I was listening to podcast of new hope club's worst date and George won the worst date in my opinion. the "gEoRgE fRoM EnGLanD" is fookin hilarious, also the fact that Blake and Reece actually have a double date is rEALLY CUTE.

Dear Diary #10 (Dating is Gross)

Definitely am completely put off of dating for a while...

Met up with this guy tonight and he expected me to have “relations” with him, if you know what I mean... and I said no, because I like to get to know a person before all of that shabboo happens... and he proceeded to tell me the following:

1. What did you expect by coming here?

2. I find it so weird that you did that.

3. You should be more sexually active

4. I’m just giving you some constructive criticism

5. I get tonnes of dates.

And I responded with:

A. I’m not that kind of person - I like to talk to people at any hour of any day.

B. It’s not weird, we just have a difference of perspective and opinion.

C. It’s my choice.

D. Thank you for your criticism, I’ll find my own way back, thanks.

E. Well good for you...

People like him are what’s wrong with society and dating today. It’s absolutely appalling to be looked at as if I’ve just stabbed someone 17 times only because I said the word no. Not once, but I had to keep stating the word no, and explain myself for it. It’s not on, and I’m having a long break from dating. It is disgusting the way women are expected to give their all to someone they don’t know. 

Not only that, but it made me realise that the men I actually want to be with, I can’t be with because of “timing” in life. It’s not fair - it really isn’t.

But I am proud that I stood up for myself in that situation. I am strong. I am badass. I am independent. I am a woman.
