Uncanny X-Men, Vol. 1 # 205 Page 06, illustrated by Barry Windsor-Smith, with Letters by Tom Orzechowski, and Chris Claremont co-wrote the Story with Barry.
Barry Penciled, Inked, and Colored the whole issue. Look at how close the published version is to the color guide. That alone should tell you a lot about just how good Barry is as an artist, and about why he is so particular about his artwork being edited or changed for publication.
Wounded Wolf (Part 2)
Remus carefully removed his sweater. Feeling the fabric rushing over the newly wounded skin. When he notices Sirius’ eyes lingering on him, he holds the shirt a moment longer over himself.
He says, looking up to Sirius noticing the change in his eyes. Suddenly focused.
He orders as he grabs his supplies. In a swift move he snatches the shirt from Remus and puts it aside. With a hint of a tremble in his hand he starts to clean the wounds.
He proclaims. His face slightly hidden by his hair and the dim light of the room. Refusing to look too long at Remus. Guessing what his reply might be.
Eyes linger. Feeling a sudden heat come off Sirius’ hands as they rest on Remus’ skin.
He smiles faintly as he puts the sweater back on, a yawn escapes his lips.
He gets off the bed reaching for his coat, just before he can grab it from the hanger Remus speaks.
He admitted. Sirius held himself back from walking out the door anyway. He sat back down in front of Remus.
Remus; “Very sure.” He smiles seeing Sirius’ face light up. The bandages on his skin feel foreign and yet so very familiar.
End?
First post.
Zabuza just did the dirty job.
As usual. He was just heading to get the money from the Konoha council - an irony, as usual on the Shinobi world, nunekin killed another nunekin - and get his prey's name scratched out of all bingo books. He's eyed carefully by the ANBU of the village. He doesn't care. In three days the same people will be hunting him.
The sunny village felt weird for someone who spent his life in darkness and fog.
Sunshine after few hours makes him sick.
He has the money and three days free off the Konoha ANBU. For three days he doesn't need to worry.
He might get supplies and some exotic herb for Haku.
It's getting dark and the sickness easens. Though, then memories twist his gut. Shaking them off like snow is a habit.
He controls himself.
Zabuza walks until he's near the side gates. He hears quiet cries for help and filled with pain.
All the villages are the same then.
Zabuza is not sure (nor will ever be) why did he went to look and see. Just a mere sight of him send the brats running in four directions, aside from one. But the Momochi doubted he'd have the strength to do so if his life depended on it.
And it just might.
Leaning over the one who's been crying, he sees marks of abuse, some fresh, some old and the ones that will never disappear.
It's not new for him.
Still.
Still, there's something telling him that he should scare brat's abusers to death. The brat only opens one eye and it reminds him of the time he met Haku.
Ugh. Sentiments and feelings. Too bothersome, but without them nothing is fun.
"Nobody needs the brats like you in this world."
The blue eye crinkles and fills with a tear. "I don't care." The boy makes Zabuza amused but also a gut twist. "I will show those assholes. I will live to annoy them, dattebayo!"
That is when the boy determination dies down and blonde passes out.
It's a bad idea, but honestly, what kind of difference it makes to have one more?
