Putting Your Best Foot Forward
I've been thinking a lot lately about intentions, goals, and always presenting myself each day the best that I can. A lot of the time, people will walk up to me in the gym and be afraid to talk to me or ask me a question. And I never really understood why. I'm very nice and I will always help anyone who asks for it. But I got the answer in the form of overhearing a couple people as I walked by them. "She looks like a bitch." When I'm out and about I'm determined. I want to do what I have to do and get back home. So often times I look pissed off and very unapproachable. It kind of took me aback and I stopped and stared at them for a second. Thinking to myself, "wow, really?" I never even knew. It is simply a character flaw. I am like the terminator when I'm out, straight faced, serious. But this doesn't lead to making new connections with people, and being able to help people who need it. And that's certainly something I wish to fix. And it's not to say that I'm not friendly. I 100% am, but being more approachable will go a long way in helping me achieve my goals. I've always wanted to help people, from a purely altruistic reason. I like and want to help people because it's simple the right thing to do. It makes the world a bit better, and (hopefully) that person will pay it forward. A selfless act can easily become an avalanche of kindness. I've always believed that, and I've seen it happen. So concerning intentions, goals, and making every single day count: In reality, they all play a role in each other. If you have goals, you must have good intentions to reach your goals. And to have good intentions to reach your goal, you have to make every single day count. So, what are you doing today to make yourself better? To have good intentions, reach your goals, and make today count? Push Harder, Be Better.
