Week 5/6

Unfortunately, I was not able to come on the following week  but I definitely can’t miss week 5 because it’s the day of our proposal presentation. After brief exploration on what I am interested at and from the exercises and artist’s work as shown by Andy, I decided to go with my own personal interest, audio-visual. Since the presentation was mainly meant to explain our general idea and direction on what we want to do, I had not really set my proposal to a stone and it was just a prototype I had in mind. In my presentation, I explained that my idea is to build a drawing machine that will draw a live audio recording. This machine was inspired by lie detector in terms of its mechanism and the “artwork” it creates. Afterwards, I plan on compiling the drawings and make a publication or poster based on the typeface it creates. After my presentation, Andy commented on using the truth or lie part of the lie detector as a part of my art project. I thought it will be an interesting idea.
