🎃 Happy Halloween! 🎃
“Are you a princess?” I said.
And she said, “I'm much more than a princess, but you don't have a name for it yet here on earth.”
Wren let out a long whine, stumbling forward until she was comfortable settled into her boyfriend’s arms. “’m not tired,” she mumbled into his chest. Her body, however, immediately betrayed her as a long yawn forced itself out of her mouth. Iggy scoffed as he lightly ran his fingers through her hair.
“You sure about that?” he chuckled. Wren gave a drawn out sigh, sliding her arms around him. She took a moment, staring out her apartment window and over the cityscape before her. She meant to close her eyes only for a little while, the steady beating of Iggy’s heart slowly lulling her into a state of utter contentment, but found herself nodding off almost instantly. “Wren?”
She yawned again, muttering more to herself than to him as she nuzzled further into Iggy’s chest. Iggy didn’t even try to fight the smile on his face as he pressed a kiss to her hair. “C’mon, sleepyhead,” he spoke softly, trying to gently nudge her towards her room.
“Mmmm, one more minute,” Wren groaned, her hold on him growing tighter.
“Fine, one more minute,” Iggy sighed, slowing running a hand up and down her back, “only because I love you.”
“Love you, too.”

“You two do know you’re allowed to leave to go get lunch, right?” Shari laughed as she took a seat at their table, a wide smile gracing her face. The smile turned to curiosity when Diana greeted her by lifting a hand in the air an letting out a tired groan. “Long night?” she asked, turning to Wren with a raised brow.
“Someone’s finally getting acquainted with our patrons.” Diana let out a more annoyed groan, nudging Wren’s arm harshly with her her elbow. Wren and Shari exchanged amused glances but while Wren turned to set a comforting hand on Diana’s arm, Shari settled back into her chair.
“What a shame,” Shari mused, “considering both of you won’t be around for much longer.”
