Hey everyone! This is my belated introduction to writeblr.

About Me

Call me Arden. 22 years old, she/they.

I love fantasy of all kinds as well as post-apocalyptic/dystopia and horror stories. 

Favorite Shows - She-Ra, AtLA, and Eureka

My WIPs

Project: Divinity - Urban Fantasy. A novel about Ash, a young woman living in a city ruled by the supernatural, going on a journey to find more about her late father and her own origins. Contains interspecies and/or LGBTQ+ romances. Warnings of violence.

Project: Omen - New Adult Fantasy. Centered around a human sacrifice who discovers that her town has been wrong about the wants and motivations of its local deity. Contains a interspecies relationship. Warnings of violence.

Project: Ivaria - A high fantasy world I am in the progress of creating.

Writeblr Newbie

Hi everyone! 

As the saying goes, “It takes one to know one.” Counting years already, I’m still fed up in a world where people around me cannot understand what am blabbing about— writing, stories, plot, characters, proofreading, grammar, critique and even book review. Until I realize, I’m just a pilgrim in their world.

Just this morning, I read a post about a netizen who tagged herself as a newbie in writeblr. I don’t know how did they come up with writeblr is it just a gobbledygook in short for writers-in-tumblr? Idk.

Anyway, as an introduction to the community, I was relieved the moment I learned that in this world I’m resenting with, knowing there’s that certain group of dreamers or talented writers wanting to make a difference. I’m glad that you are all there sharing tips, strategies and lessons about writing. These really help a lot because writing is my outlet and writing makes me know myself better.

I want to return the favor I received from writeblr community by contributing ideas I know, teaching from my experience and gain friends.

Writeblr Introduction

Hi! I’m Kayley, and I want to make more writing friends! I’ve been coming up with stories since I was a kid and have been writing seriously since high school. I love creating characters and worlds and hope to become a published author someday.

A few things about me

I’m a 21 year old psychology student.

I’m a huge nerd.

I use she/her pronouns.

I’m queer, visually impaired, have a few mental illnesses, and love to write characters who live these experiences, too.

I fucking love profanity.

Current WIPs

Dark YA contemporary about two former best friends who are reunited at 17, four years after witnessing a stabbing. Their reunion forces them to confront their grievances with each other, their past, and the trauma of witnessing and experiencing violence at a young age.

Adult paranormal about ghosts. Basically the heroine dies at 19, but her Guide (AKA grim reaper) never shows up to collect her soul. And there’s a whole organization of ghosts banding together to elimate the Guides -eliminating death in the processs - that she becomes involved with. As she struggles to accept her life ending so soon, she joins forces with a group bent on taking the organization down.

So as you can see, I write whatever I want haha! I’m not too married to one genre.
