Took me too many rewatches to realise the "put these patterns all the in past now/and finally live like the girl they all see" line in Golden is one that Rumi makes up for herself

In the Idols performance it's skipped out and replaced with the chorus, and it wouldn't make sense for it to be in the publicly available version of the song because how does Rumi justify that to the others?

Just an idle realisation that I'm sure other people have already noticed

I'm here again but yes, a LOT of TF2 fanfiction do that. They either frame it as them being too childlike to feel romance, or flat out make them childish. It's horrendous the micharacterization they get, Spy included.

People sometimes decide he is simply just a mean, sexy guy and that's all that there is to him apparently—Or how they treat Sniper being shy, but then ignore everything else. It's insane.

But yes, i definitely agree with the fact some people may just not know how to write that and try to find a shortcut.. but at the end of the day it's just gonna scare people aqay from that fic.😓

Yes, I suppose things can fall into being very one-dimensional that way, yeah? Honestly one of my biggest fears with writing has always been making characters sort of one note 😅–especially if the core aspects of characterization used fail to convey who the character really is.
