12th Nazim Hikmet Poetry Prize: Open for Submissions

The Nâzım Hikmet Poetry Prize is currently open for submissions

Submission Guidelines:

All poems submitted to the competition must be unpublished, original works. Poems that are previously published in any form (including self-published books, online publications, blogs, and social media) are not eligible. 

• Each entry must include three poems. Entries with fewer than three poems will not be considered. 

• Poems must be submitted in a single file. Acceptable formats are .doc and .docx 

• Poems must be in English. 

• 2019 Nazim Hikmet Poetry Prize awardees are not eligible to enter this year’s competition. 

• Entries containing discriminatory or degrading content involving sexual and/or physical violence or espousing extreme and/or violent political views will not be considered.

Prize: 1st place prize is $300, 2nd place prize is $200, and 3rd place prize $100 

Deadline: January 10, 2020 and entry is $12 per submissions. For more information and to submit, visit:
