. . . The cries start every dawn, the robin fluttered around its cage. It cried and cried every morn, till its voice became a mere sore. It called out to the future, to see the world, to fly away endlessly, to bask in the radiance of Ra. It cried and cried till I move my head, only to wait to see my answer. I felt bad for the poor red robin. With a click on the cage, it set out for a rebirth. I watched the red dot fly away, tears of joy and dismay. The Sunday morning started with a chirp. A red robin at at my desk. It banged on the cage begging to let it inside. For the robin hated the new world it saw. Tress being killed aimlessly, animals slaughtered mercilessly. Smoggy skies and brimming waste. Towering concrete and clamorous horns. Disease and destruction. The robin cried. Her Mother was sick and sad. Suffering silently.
