4: What's your favorite line of dialogue?

Ah, I’m cheating, and I’m going to do a compare/contrast of two people, both talking about Bodhi and Luke hooking up:

First, Luke: “And, well, he seemed to like the idea. We had...ah, what’s the ‘public broadcasting’ way of putting it,” Luke grinned, “we had a lovely evening together.”

Then, Jyn: “Bodhi fucked the golden boy astronaut who stole his pilot slot.”

The difference makes me giggle.

 11: What do you like best about this fic?

You know, looking back on it, I’m really proud of how I managed to track two different narratives at once (the flashbacks and the fic) without it feeling too choppy, and in just over 2k.

And...I don’t know, this fic is like a warm hug for me. It didn’t fight me too much on the writing, I got to bring out my inner space nerd, and I just...like it. *pats the fic*

14: Is there anything you wanted readers to learn from reading this fic?

Oh...hm. That I am a huge space nerd who could probably write a bajillion more astronaut AUs?

Actually, no, in seriousness, Bodhi’s life in this one doesn’t turn out the way he expects it to. He had a dream, he chased it...and it didn’t work out. But, by the time the fic starts, he’s still happy. I know my life doesn’t look the way I expected it to at this point. It’s easy to see that as a failure. But if I do that I miss my present joy. We can try...fail...and still be just fine. If there’s anything profound I hope people take away, it’s that.

Headcanon A: what I think realistically

Kay never addresses Cassian as “Master“ - except when he wants to hurt him.

Headcanon B: what I think is fucking hilarious

He has made it his personal mission to torment twitchy new spy recruits. For umm training purposes only, why would you ask? (He and Cassian blame another for being banned from training new recruits, but that’s another story.)

Headcanon C: what is heart-crushing and awful but fun to inflict on friends

It’s hard to outdo canon here but I shall try. He is well aware that to many in the rebellion, his value is that of a tool, not of a person. He knows that it makes Cassian uncomfortable, but Kay told him it’s okay, they can both see themselves as tools.

Headcanon D: what would never work with canon but the canon is shit so I believe it anyway

In the TFA era, he is one of the first (founding) members of Threepio’s droid spy network.

26: Ugh fanfic titles are hard, I usually set out with the intention for some deep and meaningful title and then I end up with a randomly chosen word that vaguely relates to my fic if you squint.
