Making a post here coz I don't see a lot of people talking about this in international communities (though it could also be because I'm not active in other SocMeds aside from Tumblr) but Assam is currently facing its worst flooding situation in several years. We always flood every year during the monsoons but it's especially bad this year. Several rivers have overflooded and an estimated count of 900 villages are submerged under water. There's an estimated death count of 61 so far as per the latest news (you can read so here) and more people reported missing whereas several hundred thousands are affected by the flood. Around 12 districts have been affected amongst which Sivasagar, Charaideo and Jorhat are the worst hit.
And no this is not merely a natural cause because the severity this time has definitely been affected by climate change. Please help talk more about it 🙏.
While flood relief efforts are underway both from State and Central govts, it's far from sufficient (amongst other issues like rotten food being delivered to the people), so many independent NGOs are banding together to help with flood relief as well. I'll be sharing graphics of some I know. Unfortunately I don't think most are open for international donations but inquiring once would still be likely helpful as they might have other contacts. Besides, sharing them around is more than helpful as it could reach the audience that CAN contribute.
I'll share donation graphics for some legitimate NGOs I know:

6. Assam & Arunachal Pradesh flood campaign by True Hope Foundation. This one might accept donations from overseas but I'm not entirely certain. More focused on the bordering areas of Assam and Arunachal Pradesh. Link is below:
End note, I have already donated to a few of these and my sister is actively helping one of the stated ones here. The situation here is pretty dire so any sort of help is appreciated as is spreading awareness. Because this isn't the first time flooding has happened in Assam. This is however one of the worst ones in recent history and discussing the repercussions of climate change has become all the more necessary. So please don't ignore, thank you! 🙏
