It's weird to me when older gentlemen start a conversation on Grindr or wherever with "I know you're not into older men, but . . ." Like, where the fuck on my profile does it say that? I get that maybe that's the general response you get, but judging me based on guys you've talked to, before knowing that I'm a vain and superficial bitch, is already starting off on the wrong foot.

Wrong Foot // Lorna & Leo

Projects piled up around him in the apartment, scattered gears and tools in a semicircle around him, and tension mounting in his shoulders. He should have taken a break half an hour ago, but he was convinced that if he continued, he’d figure out why the circuit board was misfiring so much. Fast forward, and Leo was left with a busted board and cuts crossing over his palms and fingers. After his twelfth scrape of the night, Fitz threw the electronic down and cursed, holding his hand tight to help the pain ebb away. 

He needed to stop before he broke the entire project.

Without pausing to consider his actions, Leo grabbed his keys, tugged on his jacket, and ensured his wallet was tucked in his pocket before walking right out the door. He could grab a quick pint, check on Steve’s recovery, and maybe see who else was out and about tonight. It sounded like a good waste of time, at the very least.

The moment he stepped into the bar, he could spot the shock of green hair. And based on the color, and the posture of its owner, he knew that things were about to get interesting. With a quick breath for courage, he walked over to the bar and sank into Lorna’s partner stool. “Hey there, didn’ expect ta see you here tonight. You drinkin’ anythin’ good?”
