WHO IS WINTER???

What if I told you Leo used to be engaged?
If it's not spoiling anything
Can we know the lore behind Leo's past boyfriends???
Who were they? What's the drama?? 👀
Answering these both in one go because I can ha-
There's not really a specific number of boyfriends, mainly because Leonardo used to be a bit of a playboy (especially when he was a young adult.)
Most of his relationships only lasted a couple weeks at a time, maybe a bit longer depending.
However, there were a few that did end up lasting a while, ones that were much harder to move on from.
During the early days of the Resistance, Leo had been with a feisty dragon yokai named Wayne - who happened to be the son of Boss Bruce. Eventually, Wayne travelled East to settlements in Eurasia to try and build up a Resistance presence among the people who were left. After a while, he and Leo kind of just sorta grew apart.
A few years later, Fernandez came along. The two were practically inseparable, and drove each other up the wall - but hey, they were in love. One day, they got into a heated argument and broke up, this time for good. Nobody really knows exactly what the fight was about; Fern angry at Leo's leadership skills perhaps, maybe Leo upset over Fern jumping into battle without a plan. Either way, they were done.
And then there was Winter. I explained that whole mess in another post, so there's the link.
But ANYWAYS, Leo's got a wonderful rabbit husband now, (or he will once I get around to writing out their first meeting) so we'll just leave all that in the past :)
