Beginner Witch Shopping List

- Crystals

Some crystals that are great for beginner and are used for many different purposes are amethyst, clear quartz, rose quartz, lapis lazuli, and tourmaline. However, in no way do you need to buy all or any of these. If you only want to get one I would recommend clear quartz as your first one.

     2. - Something for divination

A tarot card deck, pendulum, or etc. For free you can just use a necklace that you have a pendulum just cleanse it before you use it as a pendulum and you can just print or draw your own pendulum board on paper.

     3. - Journal or notebook

If you don’t want to write your grimoire on paper you can use google docs or, what I recommend, notion.so. Online grimoires are perfect for perfectionists who have hard time writing down their grimoire and making it look neat. In no way does your grimoire need to look pretty or perfect it just about whatever works for you.

      4. - Candles

You can find small tea light for cheap at the dollar store of Walmart. If you have spells planned then you can buy specific colored candles for whatever spells you are doing. For the cheapest option you cane even use birthday candles.

      5. - Whatever fun things you want

Cheap jars for spells from Walmart or the dollar store, herbs, salt, tea, or etc. Also Etsy sells really cute stuff like witch kits for beginners but they can be kinda pricey.

*Just to let you know, in no way do you need to buy anything to practice witchcraft there are plenty of alternatives to nearly everything.*

Skadayamasa Meditation, Connecting To Your Divine Self:

Preparation:

Find a place where you will not be disturbed and one that is preferably connected to your divine nature. A place that is connected to the essence of you where you will be able to learn about yourself and know yourself.

Draw the Raven of protection on the ground and push your hands through it once it is drawn and saying the name "ca" then visualize the Raven there to greet you.

Look forward In that Direction make the sign of Earth Daknavadakna and say "Daknayamasa" and visualize Earth in that Direction.

Turn right and make the sign of water Shaknavadakna and say "Shaknayamasa" and visualize water in that Direction.

Turn right and make the sign of air Naknavadakna and say "Naknayamasa" and visualize air in that Direction.

Turn right and make the sign of fire Uknavadakna and say "Uknayamasa" and visualize fire in that Direction.

Turn right, and facing the direction you started at and say "Divines I call you to this place." Visualize all of the elements in the corners.

Then sit, stand, or lay in a comfortable position. Visualize your body glowing bright opening up all of your kna centers and Awakening your kna. Then finally Begin doing Oxa breathing.

Invocation:

Chant Daknayamasa and Focus your mind on the element of Earth. Make the divine hand sign of Earth Daknavadakna

Chant Shaknayamasa and Focus your mind on the element of water. Make the divine sign of water Shaknavadakna.

Chant Naknayamasa and Focus your mind on the element of air. Make the divine hand sign of air Naknavadakna.

Chant Uknayamasa and Focus your mind on the element of fire. Make the divine hand sign of fire Uknavadakna.

Chant Sadaqa and focus your mind on the physical world. Make the divine hand signs of Savadakna

Chant Ladaqa and focus your mind on the mental world. Make the divine hand signs of Lavadakna

Chant Madaqa and focus your mind on the spiritual world. Make the divine hand signs of Mavadakna

Chant Dasakna and focus your mind on destruction. Make the divine hand signs of Dasavadakna

Downtime:

When your fingers are on your forehead. Focus upon the spot between your fingers and your forehead. Close your eyes and begin to become aware of the part of you that is aware. Focus on the archetypal nature's that make up your being along with how it connects to everything else around you. Focus and feel into it and allow yourself to experience it. Try to keep the Mind quiet feel and try not to think. Envision Your Divine form flowing into you, and taking shape. Try to experience all that you can and open yourself up to the Divinity you have inside yourself.

Closing:

Remove your two fingers from your forehead bring your breath back to normal and give yourself time to recover.

Would you happen to have a “should I or should I not” spread? I need some help making a decision about moving.

I don't have a write up on it but my default spread for making difficult decisions is pulling three cards for staying on my current path, three cards for a path I'm considering, and three cards for a path I haven't considered enough. You can pull more cards on any if you need more clarity but I wouldn't go more than 6 per prompt.

If you have personal yes/no cards or patterns, then it can be used like that but I personally like to use it more for measuring consequences to decide what I can put up with. A big part of my path is developing sovereignty so I'm not one to have my deck tell me what to do but to provide me with enough information I can make a call myself.

I actually used this one to decide whether we should move last year. It gave the key piece of information to move somewhere a friend made a recommendation for. It wasn't a smooth ride but it was less bumpy than the other options presented and I think that was because this spread helped me mentally prepare for what would be difficult about it.

People who love tea, I need you

Well, hello there!

Apart from drawing, one of my biggest hobbies is writing - and recently I’ve been cooking up ideas for a book on one of my dearest things in the world: tea!

I have a few ideas: an easy to carry handbook, illustrated with drawings inspired by tea, with easy info you can check at any time - maybe in topics? I was thinking of something very practical with info but with all the romanticism required by tea  xD

So, tea lovers: what do you think would be interesting to see in a book about tea? What kind of info? Historical roots? Types of leaves? Time + water temperature? I NEED DATA!

Anything else you can think of, please, do talk to me.

I’m also collecting various resources - so, if anyone has a nice resource to share, please do!

And witches that do tasseomancy and use a lot of tea on their practices, feel free to share your witchcraft too! I haven’t practiced on my tasseomancy that much and I’m still trying to find a way to include tea on my path - it’d be nice having a part of the book on tea witchery!
