YESSS ANON YOU GET IT. Sofia loves to flirt with Morrigan in small ways, especially given they're often alone together, but honestly things Morrigan is too naive or not confident enough to ever do anything back. She's very surprised when Morrigan, say, makes her a rose entirely out of Wunder. Took her days to make it the right color and to get the petals to be the right shape, and maybe it's still not perfect, but Sofia is rendered speechless regardless. <3

AN EXCUSE TO RANT ABOUT MY SHIPS???? Morrigan/Squall and Morrigan/Sofia rants below :3 So, discussion of age gap ships and grooming.

Okay okay so for Morrisquall, I love the idea that despite everything, despite the fact that BOTH of them have incredibly conflicting feelings for each other, they do understand each other. Morrigan really doesn't have anyone to go to about being a Wundersmith because no one else gets it.

I honestly like Morrisquall both in a fairly non-dark way and a SUPER fucked up way.

Because you could totally have their relationship be Squall grooming Morrigan, slowly isolating her and convincing her no one will ever understand her like he understands her. I think Morrigan has a tendency to believe she doesn't deserve the good people around her, and so associating with Squall feels less bad to her, but it also leads to a sense of guilt because she knows she shouldn't be hanging out with him (and later dating him) which makes her feel worse. And the worse she feels, the more likely she's likely to go back to Squall because she doesn't feel like she deserves going to other people and doesn't feel like she can talk to anyone about this. Especially since Jupiter would immediately try to get Morrigan away from Ezra if he so much as suspected something bad was going on, but this would mean Morrigan losing someone she sees as a support figure and both her only real Wundersmith teacher.

On the slightly more wholesome light, I like Ezra having to admit he's capable of caring about someone. I like the idea of him getting to the point where he can't hide the fact that he's not just doing this for the sake of fighting whatever mysterious foe there is. Squall being forced to realize just how deeply lonely and touch-starved he is and even knowing himself he's pathetic for catching feelings for Morrigan of all people. And the idea of him giving up any idea of shame about this makes it even better. Him throwing caution to the wind if him and Morrigan somehow meet in person and kissing her, holding her tight even if Morrigan freezes and tries to push away because he needs this more than anything else. (Morrigan does too; she's just less aware of it.)

For Morrigan and Sofia, I like them mostly under a fairly wholesome light! Morrigan did such a huge thing for Sofia by bringing her back after the Hollowpox and Sofia feels honored and starts trying to show her gratitude and perhaps getting closer to Morrigan than is perhaps appropriate. Morrigan has probably never had a real crush before, and she has no idea how to handle the funny feeling she gets when Sofia subtly brushes her tail against her and leans in close to her. Sofia doesn't even realize what she's doing to Morrigan but she doesn't exactly want to stop when she notices...
