The Victor's Regrets (Writing Warmup 3)
Anonymous said: Here’s a one shot idea for you: Godzilla spares the female Muto he was supposed to kill in 2014 and somehow, after a long awaited angst- Godzilla accidentally falls for her and feels bad about it- please, godzuto’s such a rarepair and I beg-
I realized after I posted my list of current prompts that I missed one and I felt bad about it so I moved it to the top of my list.
Important note: I headcanon that Godzilla's species is parthenogenetic. Probably because my first Godzilla was Zilla.

"What do you want?" Every time he brought her a gift—metal shells with radioactive hearts, beasts slain in her honor, odd trinkets he no doubt thought would appeal to her—and she turned them down, he asked that same question.
And she always gave the same answer: "I want a nest."
That was never going to happen. He'd killed the one mate who could give her one, he'd wounded her far beyond the ability to fill a nest again even if she did have a mate, and she was all but convinced he'd been in league with the vermin that had burned the one nest she'd had.
Every time, he accepted her answer and left; every time, she wondered in disgust if he thought he was trying to make amends to her or woo her.
###
And then one day he presented an egg—one of his own kind's.
She eyed it distastefully where he'd set it on the ground. "What's it for?" she asked. "Another snack?"
"A nest," he said. "It's the only way I can give you one."
She stared at it again in amazement. His kind usually gave away their eggs to other species to protect them, yes—but always to protect them from her kind. His kind would never give an egg to her.
Which meant either he trusted her not to kill his child in retaliation; or he'd decided that it was worth the risk if it meant a chance that he could give her what she longed for.
It also meant an implicit promise not to seek her out again. For their children's safety, his kind avoided visiting the nests where they left their eggs.
It would be millennia before he could lay another. He hadn't made this decision lightly.
When she didn't reply, he turned away, leaving the egg for her; she watched speechless as he left.
She carefully picked up the egg and decided, if he was defying tradition, so would she. When the egg hatched, she'd take the child to the coast to meet him.

Gas prices have more than doubled since Biden first took office in January 2021.
WRONG!
National gas prices have tripled since Biden took office. These are the same gas prices now since the Carter administration and they're going into oil embargo territory. In effect, it's not slowing down and a national gas shortage is soon expected. Costs on everything is already now impacted as deliveries are the status quo due to COVID. If it wasn't for work-from-home capacity, the problem would be far more apparent.
People presently cannot afford to drive to work daily. It's approximately $100/tank/car. The lower income brackets are the hardest hit by the Democrats, who say they're for the little guy. Well, the little guy can't afford a $60K electric car. The tiny ones cost about $40K and can't make the distance needed to get people from lower cost of living areas to their workplaces in many states. The commute times are too high and the capacity of these vehicles is insufficient. Most of them have used cars that run on...
... GASOLINE!
You see, these Democrats and Liberals have an agenda to work towards. In the process of that, they over extended their hand and caused all of this to happen. Their house of cards is collapsing around them and they're panicking. They don't know how to stop it. They're spinning and spinning stories to try to deflect blame, but they are inept to stop it. They're hoping they can pull out of this nosedive into their preferred state, but they're not. This is a global problem now, because our economy and capabilities literally supply and assist the entire planet economically, politically, militarily, and effectively.
Presently in the news, metals are being bought up off the market outside the stock market. This is leading to the commodities exchange cancelling trades. Investors are suing the British Exchange for doing so; but the truth of the matter is that the reason for this stems from NATO partners purchasing these metals. They're doing so to prepare for major warfare. They, and us, are stockpiling and preparing for a major war.
And that, my friends, is what's really going on here. A combination of idiotic and short-sighted happy-feel politicians trying desperately to erode your rights and expand their power into Marxist Socialism, and the panicked expansion of military stockpiles behind the curtain. Why the fuck else do you think Baby Formula, of all things, gets impacted by one plant being down? Are you kidding me? Baby Formula is in abundance in Mexico, and the administration is importing it from Europe?
THAT'S CALLED MONEY LAUNDERING!
And even if that wasn't the case, it's an artificially self-induced shortage because those same plants that make Baby Formula here in the states make it for other countries also. So if it's available there but not here, what gives? Those same plants can also make MREs and other kinds of food replacement/supplements utilized by FEMA for emergency public rations.
So there's no "shortage" of Baby Formula: There's stockpiling of emergency rations. It all fits together when you know how things work, even loosely. You just need to understand that there's a bigger picture of events that you can see when you take a step back from bitching about the stupid little shit.
The United States has committed numerous Acts of War against Russia this year. This is not a value judgment. I make no claim here about wh
