Slow and steady wins the race! . 162 was a random goal weight I set years ago (my goal is actually 163.7), but I am thrilled to be below 165 for the first time in my adult life just ahead of my wedding this weekend! . I first joined @ww in February 2017, actually just a few weeks before I got engaged. Being happily in love I had crossed over the 200 pound mark and had vowed to never be there again after losing ~45 pounds in 2010. . In 2010, I was 222.5 pounds and just after the new year I committed to a self prescribed (and in part Tumblr/Firblr prescribed) weight loss plan that was based around a lot of running. . In 2012, I experienced some foot issues which only ramped up over the years until I hung up my running shoes in 2016. Part of what made running harder on my feet was also the ~20 pounds of love weight I had put on in 2015. . I knew I needed to try something more sustainable. My first WW attempt was great but short lived due to some work/life circumstances. I always kept my membership active but it wasn’t until December 28, 2017 that I truly committed to #ww and I’m still committed (and a WW Coach). . This time of year always makes me reflective, more reflection still to come this week, but I’m so happy I kept trying and trying again. A weight loss journey is full of ups and downs, but I’m in it for the long haul. . #weightloss #weightlossjourney #weightlosstransformation #ww #wwemployee #wwcoach #wwcommunity #wwbridetobe #wwbride #measuringlife https://www.instagram.com/p/CYDOFj3LX3z/?utm_medium=tumblr
