- Dalai Lama Things that you need to hear will come in many forms to get your attention. I was at a job interview when I bumped into an old friend, and in the middle of the registration process we instantly started to speak about entrepreneurship. He’s an aspiring photographer great by the way, and we started to converse about how you need money to fund your passions/dreams. I told him my plans and how I need extra income because the cost of inventory is so high. At that moment I thought maybe I should just scale back on my spending. What is something that I could do without right now to cut costs, something that could go? Hell, I came up with a lot of things, things that are not even necessities. Aside from my bills being paid………. nails………eating out, and shopping could go for a while until I meet my goal. Even though it’s going to kill me internally, sometimes you have to make sacrifices to make financial gains. My best friend and I discuss these things all the time, from one entrepreneur to another. But she made a valid point about jobs and taking on too much. I realized that another job shouldn’t be the focus, prioritizing & budgeting should be the focus, not job number three. Job number three could potentially be something that could interfere with my focus, and that’s not needed. I need something that will add to my creative process not block it. Flexibility and keeping my creative juices flowing is what I really need. Anything else would be a distraction. What’ are some things you could get rid of that could help you to reach your goals?
