ok wait, xkit doesn't work after you sign up for the ad-free tumblr?

well i bit the bullet and paid for ad-free tumblr. best case scenario, we end up keeping tumblr around for another couple years until something finally overtakes it for fandom. worst case i'm providing hospice care for a site i love very much all shit aside

the problem is that x-kit doesn't work now so i'm stuck without all my extra add-ons :(

is there anyway to block a post notifications natively through tumblr? ive had a few post go fucking buckwild in the last two weeks and its killing my activity page. ive tried the X-Kit Rewritten plug in and it just keep loading.

I am SUPER STRUGGLING with the "updated” tumblr. It has been over a month and I am still lost.

Nothing works in a way that would be easy to use and easy on the eyes. The tagged posts are now a big board of miniatures where you cannot read anything properly and pictures are too small.

The activity is a mess. I have about 17 000 followers on my other blog and I really cannot keep up with just going by “you have 99+ notes”.

For some reason all the images are loading terribly slow, making the whole experience of browsing very frustrating.

I cannot see the tags properly.

The X-kit has either completely given up or sold its soul.

Seriously considering leaving because instead of fun all I have now is the “where am I? How can I even see something I want” feelings all the time.

looks like x-kit is slowly updating their extensions. please oh please let quick tags be one of the first to be next! it is hell trying to tag posts without it.

Don’t care for the new dash, Xkit needs updating for the features I use most. If I have to try to view my dash with reblogs turned on, I’m going to miss a lot of posts. As it is, my dash is a sea of reblogged gifs and CC and I know I missed a lot of people’s posts before I finally got frustrated and stopped scrolling.

Quick tags don’t work either, so thank goodness I filled up my queue yesterday before they forced this change on us. I can’t view my queue at ALL, even with Xkit completely disabled (someone said that was a fix, but they mentioned old x-kit, I use new xkit, I disabled it anyway). The posts are there, and I can view them on the crappy mobile app, but I can’t do anything with them on the browser.

If I miss your posts, it’s not because I don’t care, it’s because I can’t handle my super crowded dash right now and it’s actually giving me a headache. Blocking tags isn’t really an option because there are too many or they aren’t even tagged at all.
