COMFORT

No amount of pain could compare to the sight of seeing your most cherished person growl in agony. As he covered in bandages that precious eye of his, he could no longer see, neither could he ever drown himself into those coffee flavoured eyes. The lancer's heart began to ache, however he would not let it show, not now when Braig was so vulnerable.

— Who could ever do this to you... Stay still.

— Just had a fight with one of those huge beasts, I already told you.

— Refrain yourself from those excuses, neither of us believes this. Only the soft sound of the bandages could be heard, none of them raised their voice until the gatekeeper finished his job. Dilan caressed Braig's face carefully, fingers softly spooning his chin while letting him rest in an embrace. He still couldn't understand how it came to this, a few minutes ago he was just enjoying Radiant Garden's wonderful view, watching some kids play with frisbees, having some trivial conversations with Aeleus, doing his job.

Now he had a broken Braig in his arms, tightening the embrace as he let thoughts in, he knew the man had gotten into something dark, but how could the lancer protect him from himself? If only he knew what he was up to, he'd do anything, anything to help.

— Dilan... You're huting me...

Unaware of the strengh he ended up using, he opened up some space for both, apologizing for his odd behaviour —Oh,I... I'm sorry I was just... — gazing away, his voice broke at the same instant he raised it, unable to fully control himself.

Braig did not answer back, he was not going to use some sweet lies for comfort, instead he layed his head back on the man's shoulder. Shamelessly watching the clouds go by, hiding next to the waterfalls, no one would disturb them there. No questions would be asked, just the two of them, emotions overwhelming, both unable to put their hearts into words.

—Are you really alright with someone like me? — Braig stared at the sunset sky. Powerlessly avoiding his deep amethyst eyes. — I don't want to let you get your hopes up about me.— He knew himself properly at this point, his coward self wouldn't go away so easily and he'd never be good enough for him.

Dilan catched some breath, reasurring his partner — I never cared about stuff like destiny, but this time, I'm forced to acknowledge it.— The lancer left a soft kiss on Braig's uninjured cheeckbone. The freeshooter was far more than enough. —I just want to be by your side forever and evermore.—
