What was your experience like working at Xanterra?
I have really enjoyed working for Xanterra. I’m going back for my third season this summer and I am incredibly excited. I love Xanterra because they provide an experience more so than a job. I mean you live in a national park? LIKE HELLO? People spend hundreds or thousands of dollars to travel through the national parks in the US and you get to live and work there. It gives me an opportunity to save an awesome amount of money. The opportunities for promotions and growing and building a career for yourself is endless and it doesn’t matter if you’re an 18 year old college student or a 67 year old retiree.
In the end, I truly believe that it is what you make of it. You can go online and look at reviews of the company and there will be a lot of negative comments. Unfortunately that’s going to be the people that a hard time following the companies policies, just flat out hate working or struggle working for a big corporation. That’s their loss. ANY place you work in your lifetime there’s going to be people and things that you don’t agree with and there’s going to be things you want to do but unfortunately that’s just life.
I think if you are debating whether or not to do it, just give it a shot and remember if you are absolutely miserable, you are not stuck there.
I didn’t have a blog when I was in yellowstone two summers ago but I have posted some photos you can check out here. It’s so beautiful. (I posted a lot more on my Instagram which you can find here)
And this past summer I posted quite a bit about my experience living in the Grand Canyon. You can find my posts here. As well as more on my Instagram. :)
I’ll probably be posting quite a bit on here about this upcoming summer. With that being said, I wish you luck my friend. Enjoy the adventure.
