{{Yeah I missed it until I went and searched my tag. I am so glad I saw it. Your art is beautiful!}}
((Thanks! I've got two more to get out, yet, but I may or may not do something more with them beyond just sketches, depending on how I feel.))
Engulfing Darkness
"... There's nothing here."
The Digital Gate had opened and deposited Daisuke and Hikari into a grassy field. As far as the eye could see in every direction was just grass blowing in the wind. He frowned, as he looked down at the D3 in his hand. The red dot on the screen was blinking and this was definitely the location.
"I don't get it," Daisuke looked around. "Koushiro said there was definitely some spike in this area..."

Destiny Islands was Sora and Riku's home, no matter if they and the world were just mere data. Even with all the self-awareness, the feeling of home was nestled within, and that ultimately made them always visit the journal's version of the world, right after they've gone and finished their round of patrolling.
Today was pretty special, though. Chip and Dale allowed them to have the day off, the two chipmunks having made a prototype for an antivirus that would have helped the two boys find the source of the remaining bugs that rested in the journal. Sure, it made them feel weird that they won't be doing anything today, but the day off wasn't unwelcome. The two of them have been working hard as always in maintaining the journal's safety (the load especially being mostly on Riku), so what's a little break every now and then?
As they reached the play islands, however, as they both made their way to the usual spot by the strange shaped Paopu tree, there was a variable they didn't expect to be there:
A person.
"Huh, Riku? There's... not supposed to be anyone here, right?" Sora asked, confused about the presence.
"It's a User." Riku then corrected, not waiting for Sora's reply as he approached the stranger. "Excuse me, but what are you doing here?"
A Question Worth Asking | xcrestoflightx
Daisuke leaned against the wall at the first floor of the apartment complex, pacing back and forth. The usually exuberant young man was unusually nervous, wringing his hands behind his back. He sighed, closing his eyes as he leaned against the wall.
He'd never been more nervous in his life. He'd spent hours last night in front of the bathroom mirror rehearsing what he would say. His throat felt dry, and even with all the rehearsal he wasn't sure if he'd actually be able to talk when the moment came.
'Hikari will be here any minute... get it together, Daisuke!'
