"Thank you, we are XDINARY HEROES!" Gunil announced as the concert ended, people lingered around, taking pictures, collecting confetti, the usual--however, you had other plans. You left your seat and headed down to the backstage area, security recognized you as you came to Xdinary Heroes' rehearsals every now and then, mostly since you were Jungsu's partner.
They let you into the backstage and into the artist room where "Y/N!" Jungsu yelled, jumping into your arms as you entered, causing you to stumble over. You chuckled as you ruffled his sweaty hair "Baby your concert was amazing!" You praised, you noticed the rest of the group smiling at you and Jungsu "All of you, it was incredible. I mean a world tour, opening for Muse, a mini-album all in one year? You guys did amazing," you praised.
Jooyeon chuckled "Thanks, it was all thanks to Gunil keeping us together," he said giving praise to the leader, Gunil, being the humble man he is, just chuckled, refusing to take credit "It was a group effort, all of us--y/n's right, we ALL did amazing," he said.
---
You sat on the sofa chairs as the band started getting ready to get leave, you slowly found yourself getting tired as you sunk deeper and deeper into the sofa. Jungsu was playing around with Jiseok, as usual, the two had a bromance not even you could resist. You subtly took some pics, mostly for sentimental value, you knew the band liked to linger at a certain late-night restaurant and, on cue, their manager confirmed reservations "You included y/n too right..." Jungsu said, the manager just sighed softly with a smile--he forgot to include you ONCE and Jungsu made it his goal to make sure their manager didn't forget.
"Baby its fine," you chuckled "Give him some ease, it's been a long day. Let's all get some good food okay?" you said. Jiseok smiled and cheered "YEAAA Y/N'S THE BEST!!! LETS GOO!!!" he shouted before jumping on Seungmin's back as the two strode out "Y'know... I never understood how Jiseok still has so much energy," Junhan commented as he got his guitar "Me neither," you said before you were at Jungsu's side and both of you walked out.
As you walked to their van, you noticed yourself getting sleepier, your pace slowed down a little and you found yourself leaning against Jungsu. In the van, you sat next to him "Y/n?" He asked looking at you "Are you tired? We can just go back to your place I don't need to join the boys," Jungsu said. You were always Jungsu's priority, you mattered more to him than the group which is why he's always taking care of you and ensuring you've eaten. You gently smiled at him to reassure his worries "I'm fine baby don't worry, just the cold and I'm pretty hungry. Tonight's about celebrating wrapping up the tour okay? Spend some time with the others," you smiled, Jungsu hummed for a bit "Okay, you should take a nap for now I'll wake you up when we get there," he said and with that--you fell asleep on his shoulder.
---
Arriving at the restaurant, you and the boys were regulars, you got escorted to a private room "Order anything you'd like, we're using the company card tonight," the manager explained as he gave Gunil the card "Enjoy," he smiled as he closed the door. You took the liberty of taking everyone's orders as they talked about their favorite moments the year "Opening for muse was the best!" Jiseok argued "Nuh uh! Lollapalooza was!" Jooyeon argued back "What about the album? I liked that," Seungmin intercepted "Game charters was fun, It was a shame Jungsu and Jiseok couldn't join," Junhan spoke softly. "What about you y/n? What's your favorite memory of us this year," Gunil spoke, you chocked mid drink as all the attention was on you "I mean..." you started, you honestly liked everything they did this year but your eyes locked on Jungsu "I'm just glad he didn't cry to Night of Fireworks, again," you chuckled at Jungsu, causing the table to erupt in laughter "Hey I only did that because you were really happy and it made me emotional," he protested.
The food arrived swiftly and everyone dug in, throughout the dinner, you caught yourself yawning every now and then, your drowsiness getting to you. Jungsu was busy talking with the boys to notice-not that you mind, seeing him happy made you forget everything, almost.
The boys were finishing up and you found yourself on Jungsu's shoulder, he looked down and met your eyes "Baby?" you spoke softly, unable to conceal the tiredness in your voice "Can we go home now? It's getting later baby," you said. Jungsu immediately went into full care mode "Baby? You tired? Do you wanna head home first?" he asked. You softly nodded and Jungsu leaned to Gunil beside him "I'm gonna head out first okay? y/n's getting tired,"
Gunil and the others completely understood, it was no brainer how much Jungsu prioritized you. Jungsu said goodbye to their manager before hauling a cab to take back to your place, the car ride was silent, the only sounds being the muffled noises of the outside world and your soft snoring.
Once you arrived at your apartment, Jungsu helped you get upstairs and into your apartment. He brought you into the bedroom "Wait I'll go get your makeup remover okay," he said turning to your vanity, less than 3 seconds later and you were out, cold. Jungsu was no stranger to this, you had a habit of overworking yourself and he knew you had work not long before the concert. He rolled his sleeves up and his routine to take care of you.
He gently removed your makeup, getting the most off to the best of his abilities without waking you up, he gently put your belongings on your desk, making sure to charge your phone before changing you into a set of pajamas. He had a designated drawer in your room filled with his clothes for when he stayed over when the group was on break. He changed into some clothes before tucking you into bed and snuggling up next to you, spooning you "Goodnight y/n," he spoke softly, giving you a kiss on the cheek before he himself drifted off to sleep.

“so, my beloved lilies, today is a career day! i decided to give you a small surprise and asked someone very brave to come here today. any guesses?” you asked cheerfully, clasping your hands.
one of the small hands sprung up and lily shouted before even you told her to.
“a soldier!”
“wo- ah, no” you laughed nervously. bringing a soldier to meet kindergarteners could be quite… traumatic “but that person saves lives…”
“a doctor?” camila asked shyly.
“a close guess! maybe last hint: that person has to do something with…” you stopped to make some suspense, curiosity twinkling in the kids’ eyes “... fire!”
a gasp could be heard in the small crowd.
“firefighter! firefighter! firefighter!” haewon shot to her feet and started jumping excitedly while you clapped.
“bingo!” you hummed “let me go get him. please be nice and remember, what do we say?”
“hello, nice to meet you!” the choir of children's voices answered confidently and you sent them a thumbs up. then you left the room and saw the firefighter looking at the kids’ drawings with a huge smile. you tiptoed and wrapped your hands around his waist. the man didn’t budge and just put his hand over yours.
“they seem very excited to meet you” you mumbled into his back and peeked to look at the drawings “it’s cute, isn’t it? that’s me and bae, she drew it”
your partner huffed.
“the size of your head is about right” he said and turned around.
“shut up. she just has a huge heart and it shows in her gestures” you scoffed, poking his exposed arm.
“‘shut up’? that’s not a nice word” seungmin teased, causing you to roll your eyes.
“just get your ass in there” you pointed at the door with a dangerous glint. seungmin saluted, following your orders.
“yes, ma’am” he said and went to open the door and hold it for you.
well, apparently the stare worked not only on disobedient kids.
he walked in and the girls giggled. you gave them a wink.
“hello, nice to meet you!” they shouted rhythmically, waving at him.
“hi everyone!” you watched his smile grow ten times bigger. he waved back “and hello ms y/n”
he reached his hand. you scoffed and greeted him. right, the kids didn’t know that was your fiancé. his foxy smile only amused you even more.
“hello, mr seungmin. we are very honored that you agreed to meet with us today and tell us a bit about your profession” you grinned and let go of his hand. “for starters, mr firefighter will share something about himself and then you’ll be able to ask questions”
“it’s my pleasure to be here” he smiled and you noticed the tenderness in the way he looked at the cute, intrigued kids. “i’ve been a firefighter for about four years now but before i volunteered at the local station and went through basic training. it is a quite dangerous job and requires a lot of responsibility but i love it”
you scanned the faces of your group. the twelve girls looked very interested, nodding their heads.
“i even brought some equipment to show you!”
they squealed in excitement and you just sent him a huge smile.
another hour went by in a blink of an eye. the girls could try the helmets, gloves and boots - seungmin even brought small coats. he also went through the usage of a fire extinguisher (even though the instructions were very simplified). after taking pictures of the kids in the firefighter attire, he prepared a quick quiz and then they could ask questions.
kaylee, the youngest, rose her hand shyly.
“did you ever save a cat?” she mumbled, almost incoherent. seungmin broke into a huge smile and nodded.
“i did! it ran away and was too scared to come down. it returned safely to its owner” he answered and you held eye contact with him. kaylee wanted to ask something else - you could tell by the way she fiddled with her fingers and her gaze stuck in her little shoes.
then, she walked up to you and whispered her question. you giggled and nodded.
“what was the cat’s name?” you asked, trying to stop your lips from stretching into a huge smile.
“simba”
you huffed. simba was your cat, that’s how you two met. he saved simba and in return you gave him your number. the rest was history.
“do you, like, have a pole to sling down?! like in 'fireman sam'?!” kyujin asked, too excited to even raise her hand. seungmin laughed and you noticed some of the girls whispering.
“we do, yes. we use it in a case of an emergency. maybe one day, if your lovely teacher agrees, you could come visit us. and slide down”
they all gasped and looked at you with sparkles of hope in their eyes.
“we’ll see” you smiled.
keira rose her small hand politely.
“yes?” seungmin nodded.
“did you ever got in a fire so serious that you had to go into a hospital?” she asked calmly.
your fiancé hummed in thought, tapping his chin.
“no, i don’t think so. i did get burned once but it wasn’t serious. it’s thanks to our suits. and hopefully it’ll stay that way” he answered, quite surprised by such a serious question.
jini, jiwoo and savanna kept whispering loudly but you couldn’t decipher the words.
“any more questions?” you cleared your throat. jini nudged kendall, who was listening to them.
“do you have a girlfriend?” she asked and it caused quite a chaos. all the girls started giggling and laughing.
seungmin exchanged looks with you.
then, he rose his hand.
“i regret to inform you but i’m engaged” he laughed and pointed at his ring. they sighed in disapproval. you could see cogs turning in lexi’s head. she scanned his ring and then yours.
“out teacher is engaged too!” lexi grinned.
“well, that’s true but–” you started, trying to think of a possibly logical answer.
“so what? that’s like… she could be engaged to anyone” sullyoon huffed and lexi crossed her arms.
“hey, that’s out of the topic. does anyone want to ask something else?” you cut them off sternly but not raising your voice. they shook their heads.
“can we draw something for mr seungmin?” savanna asked with a pout.
“of course” you nodded and watched them run to the tables, already squealing and giggling.
he walked up to you, arms crossed.
“how do you manage to do that all day…” he sighed and you just nudged his side.
“i could ask you the same thing. they are like fire in a way, huh?” you chuckled and saw lily eyeing you two “they liked you”
“good. i was nervous” seungmin admitted.
you chatted quietly, waiting for the kindergarteners to finish their art pieces. occasionally, your fiancé would subtly brush his fingers against you with a sneaky smile.
three days passed since the career day and seungmin has been acting a little strange. not weird or suspicious but something definitely shifted in him.
it was the way you treated those kids. you were so gentle and caring, love on your eyes – even though they weren’t yours. his mind couldn’t help but wander… how would you act with his children. he found himself imagining a small family, something that you never really discussed. he knew you loved kids, hence your profession of a kindergarten teacher and studies in pedagogy.
you were snoozing on his bare chest, leg thrown over his. it was a lazy sunday, a rare occurrence of you two having a day off. it was past noon, the warm dinner made you sleepy so you decided to take a nap. seungmin too but he woke up and grabbed his phone, not wanting to wake you up.
his left hand was wrapped around your silhouette, drawing small circles on the skin of your hip that got exposed by your shuffling in your slumber. his other hand scrolled on instagram, reading all of the old reels that his friends sent him.
then he started exploring his for you page and clicked on a vid with a baby. dressed in a fox onesie.
a smile formed on his lips, liking the video. he’d definitely dress up his child in a fox onesie.
you tucked your head under his chin and sighed softly in your sleep. he continued to scroll down, the beyond cute videos of kids taking over his feed.
it clicked suddenly - he was having a baby fever. with a grunt he shook his head. he has to keep his cold and mysterious facade–
“you’re watching baby videos?”
shit.
he sighed and moved his free hand to rest it atop your head, ruffling your hair.
“yes” he answered shortly, swiping down. a reel of a baby trying to say their first words.
he turned off his phone and sighed. you decided to climb on top of him and he saw your grin. even though your features were still sleepy and hair messy, you looked energetic.
“i don’t know, i just… when i saw you with the girls… they were so cute and you treated them so gently” he mumbled shyly. you leaned down and grabbed his chin gently, locking eyes with him. “and i have a baby fever, okay? i just… we’re getting married next year and i know we’re still young but i want to have a baby with you. one day… if you want to, too”
seungmin could swear that the smile that broke on your face was the largest he had ever seen. you nodded and your answer was quite simple: your soft lips landed on his. sweet taste lingered on his tongue as he kissed you back, heart growing in his chest.
soon enough your hands started roaming on his bare chest, toned body warm underneath your fingertips. once out of breath, you pulled away. with blushed cheeks you traced the ink tattooed a little below his ribs, feeling the slow rise and fall of his ribcage.
“maybe i’ll add two dates here in the future” your fiancé reached for your hand and placed a gentle kiss on each of your fingers, not breaking eye contact.
then, out of the blue, he flipped you and had you pinned to the mattress. his necklace was dangling in your face. seungmin leaned in and softly kissed his way down from your nose to your neck.
the chilly breeze in the room could be the reason for the hair standing on his neck but it was probably the way you played with his hair.
“if it’s a boy… hyungjun…” he murmured, pillowy lips tickling your skin. your body shook with laughter, the sound like music for his ears.
“we are not naming our child after your best friend” you kept on giggling, the idea cracking you up “what, so if it’s a girl it’s gonna be jiseokette? jooyeonlia?”
he snorted and looked at your face, a lopsided smile adorning his features.
“you have a point” seungmin smiled and just when he was about to kiss you again, lips quite literally against yours, a ring phone echoed through the room. you knew it was his due to the fact that he had his favorite song set up as the tone.
with a dramatic, guttural groan and a roll of his eyes, he rolled to the side and reached his cellphone.
as he talked, you went to trace his tattoo yet again. your mind kept wandering to the image of your own small family. fingers brushing against the ink and then moving to trace the moles and beauty marks scattered on his honey-colored skin.
suddenly, your fiancé sprung to his feet and ended the call. throwing hurriedly one of his tank tops, he started looking for something.
“what is it?” you asked, concern ringing in your voice.
“a really massive fire in a block of flats. they still haven’t located the source and the cause but apparently it’s a quite old building and there’s a risk of collapse. they haven’t rescued everyone yet. i need to go” he spat out words like a machine gun, collecting his necessary items. then, he walked up to you and placed a quick kiss on your lips “i will be back, love you”
and with that, he hurried out.
you were always nervous when seungmin got calls like that. it is a part of his job but you can't stop the panic from overtaking your thoughts little by little. with a racing heart you made the bed and decided to distract yourself with grading a file full of drawings. you had to do it anyway.
the door opened with a quiet creak, the heavy footsteps waking you up. glancing at the clock you realized its past three am.
“seungmin?” you called, voice sleepy. your arms stretched involuntarily, due to the cramped position you fell asleep in.
“it’s me, baby” he answered and went into the room. the light that you forgot to turn off casting illumination on his face. face full of scratches.
“oh my goodness, what happened?” you asked in a panicked voice, standing up to rush to him.
he shook his head, and then pointed at his bandaged arm.
“got burned. do we have a first aid kit? i rushed out of the hospital before they took care of my handsome face” seungmin asked, voice soft.
“of course we do. wait, the hospital?” you repeated and stood in place, frozen “are you even okay? you should go back!”
“i’m fine, they said. it’s just the burn that needed urgent care. besides, others got more burns” seungmin sighed and sat down at the dinner table, closing his eyes. you gulped, heart racing. he heard you pace around and soon enough you were standing between his legs. he hissed quietly when you did so, your eyes shooting wide.
“i might… have smaller burns. but i’m okay, i promise” your fiancé opened his eyes and sent you a reassuring smile “everyone is alive and that’s what matters, okay?”
“but… the burn…” you bit your lip, concerned. you just took a deep breath and started cleaning the scratch looking wounds on his face.
“i’ll be fine. who’s a firefighter without a burn scar, hm?” he hummed “and those… you won’t believe it”
you just frowned. a groan left his lips when he felt the stinging feeling above his right brow.
“one of your girls lived in that building. lily.” he said quietly and you blinked, halting your movements. tears gathered in your eyes, thinking of all the–
“she’s fine, she’s alive! i should’ve specified that. sorry, darling. she’s okay” seungmin panicked and pulled you onto his lap, clenching his jaw at the faint pain. but he had to comfort you.
“how… how did you know?” you asked, trying to calm down. he needed your help, not tears. but the sole thought of seungmin or lily getting trapped in the dangerous grips of fire…
“someone told me there’s a girl in the apartament. i went it to save her and i recognized lily. she must’ve been listening well to me when i visited your kindergarten, you know? she was doing everything i told the girls in case of a fire emergency. i grabbed her and left but she suddenly started panicking. only when i left and took off my helmet she calmed down… for a moment, at least”
your heart swelled. lily was a bit chaotic at times but also mature for her age.
“i think it was the anxiety. she accidentally scratched me because she started panicking where her parents were. i helped her look for them” he explained and rubbed your arm “they were fine. no one got hurt.”
“except you” you sniffed and pulled away, returning to patch his small wounds.
“it’s a risk i’m ready for” he hummed and watched you. “i’m sorry i scared you like that”
you just shook your head and once the scratch was cleaned, you put the only bandaid you had. one with my little pony characters on it.
“are you sure your burn wound doesn't need any more help? i can drive you to the hospital” you asked, worry pooling in your eyes. seungmin just cupped your cheek, his hand warm and calloused against yours.
“no. although i know what would make me feel better” he smiled softly.
“meds? tea? anything you need, just tell me” you asked but he just pulled you closer and sealed your lips with a passionate kiss. it was a bit rough, in a way that you could feel his plump lips imprinting on yours. but you knew why; he just wanted to make sure you’re here, and he’s here, and you will be together. no fire will be able to burn your intertwined souls.
“i need you, nothing else” he said when he leaned away, wiping a tear that escaped your eye “don’t worry about me”
plot : what happens when jiseok falls for the cute mua?
# : rpf, jiseok x reader , gn reader , slow burn
a/n : prologue to this fic
Growing up with YouTube, it was no shocker that you grew to love the beauty industry and follow beauty content creators. At a young age, you experimented doing makeup on your mom, then to your female friends for school events before you finally became a freelance makeup artist.
During one of your sessions, you were doing makeup on a mother getting ready for her daughter's graduation. "Do you have a job, honey?" she asked as you applied eyeshadow onto her "No, unfortunately," you said flustered as you continued to touch her up "I'm doing a gap year to figure things out if I'm honest," you confessed before giving her a hand mirror "What do you think?" you asked her as she looked at herself. "My my... you really do have a talent for makeup, may I refer to you to my friend? I heard she's hiring, " she said. "Oh sure..." You replied before giving her your card.
===
Days went by after that graduation day. You didn't think much about what that mom said; it was the same as everyone else--getting your hopes up and ghosting you. However, today was... different. You were shopping for necessities before suddenly getting a phone call from an unknown number. Curiosity got the best of you, and you picked up "Hello is this y/n?" a voice on the other end spoke "Hello I'm Mrs. Park from JYP Entertainment," Your heart nearly stopped beating when she said that, you heard Mrs. Park speak, which snapped you back into reality. "I'm sure you're acquainted with Mrs. Lee? You did her daughter's graduation makeup, correct?" Mrs. Park spoke, which made you recall the events from a few days ago and connect the dots.
"Oh! Yes, I did her and her daughter's makeup. Why?" You asked. You had a feeling where this was going, but you didn't get your hopes up... yet. "Well, I saw your work in Instagram, and it's safe to say... I'm very impressed. Would you be available for an interview let's say... tomorrow at 3pm?" Mrs. Park asked, which made you almost drop your groceries. "Y-Yes! I'd love to!" you said trying to conceal your excitement "Okay, please prepare your CV and portfolio and anything else you'd deem useful, see you tomorrow," Mrs. Park said before hanging up
===
The day of the interview came, and you were nervous, to say the least. You sat at the visitor's lounge, waiting for Mrs. Park, you sipped your nth cup of tea to ease your anxiety. After a few moments, a lady walked up to you. "Y/n?" she aske. You looked up and saw her name tag. "Oh yes! You must be Mrs. Park?" you said, getting up and shaking her hand "Yes I'm so glad you could make it. Please follow me to the interview room," she said leading you inside the building.
You wanted to freak out, to be starstruck, but you remembered you were here for a job, a possible escape from the endless freelance cycle you were in. Once entering the room, your interview started, and you gave Mrs. Park your CV and portfolio before she started giving you questions based on her observations. In the middle of the interview, she said something that caught your attention "You have a talent for makeup," she said before sighing. "We need more makeup artists to help with the male idols,"
"I can do it," you blurted on the spot, Mrs. Park looked up. "Really? Because your portfolio has a majority of female makeup," she said. "Men don't really... get their makeup done," you said in defense with an awkward chuckle. Mrs. Park got up and made a quick phone call outside--inside, you were mentally beating yourself up, stressed that you blew your shot and you'd be back to freelancing without a stable income. All of a sudden, Mrs. Park returned with:
"Y/n, this is Jiseok, he's a member of our upcoming boy group, can you demonstrate your skills on him?" She asked, you turned and locked eyes with a with the biggest eyes you've ever seen accompanied by the poutiest lips you've ever seen. You blanked out for a minute before snapping back into reality "O-oh yes, Jiseok can you sit here for me?" you asked, asking him to sit onto the makeup chair. Mrs. Park watched in awe as you showed and demonstrated your makeup skills onto Jiseok who sat patiently on the chair.
When you finished, she observed your skills up close and gave a satisfactory smile "I think you can start tomorrow," she smiled.
===
That was the start of your journey at JYP, Mrs. Park assigned you to work with Stray Kids' first, observing how their MUAs worked on their faces as well as the working environment at JYP. Occasionally, you bumped into Jiseok training with the rest of his group.
"Hey what's with them? Why do they get their own practice room?" you asked another MUA when you saw Jiseok enter a different practice room you rarely saw Stray Kids or any other JYP group enter. "Oh them? They're part of Studio J, its a subsidiary of JYP mostly bands. I think their only artist has been Day6 so--it's nice to know they're finally debuting a new group after all this time," she commented as she did Felix's hair "A band? Like... rock?" you asked, she shrugged "Yeah something like that,"
===
"Mrs. Park," you said approaching her desk "Oh hi y/n, what's up?" she asked, looking up from her computer "Its umm... about that studio J group," you mumbled "I um... heard from one of the other MUAs that they're a rock group? Is it possible if I could be transferred to them?" Mrs. Park looked at you with a stern expression causing you to almost backtrack your request
Almost.
"Of course silly! I was just thinking about calling you over to discuss that sometime this week but I guess God already planned it for us," she chuckled, causing you to calm down and smile a bit "They're starting debut shooting next month, I can assign you to start working with them in... 2 weeks?"
===
And that's how you started working with Xdinary Heroes, you had more creative freedom working with them as their concept was more carefree and less restrictive compared to typical idol groups. During this time, you'd gotten closer with Jiseok, you learnt the two of you had similar interests, most prominently being your shared interest for Green Day.
"And then he followed us on Instagram! Isn't that crazy?" He yapped while you were both grabbing food in the cafeteria "Oh my god--really? Wait," you said grabbing your phone out of your pocket. It slipped from your hands and landed on the floor, you bent to pick it up before your hand met Jiseok's, who was also reaching for your phone, you felt your face go red and notice Jiseok's face turn equally red. The two of you scrambled to get up and he quickly gave back your phone "I umm... I'm gonna head back first... I-I think Gunil called... practice stuff..." he said, stuttering over his words before quickly running away.
===
Something shifted between the two of you after that encounter and its clear the others thought so too. You noticed how Jiseok would avert his gaze when you entered the room, how quiet he got when you did his makeup, you noticed the rest of the members teasing him when you're nearby and how the other MUAs had seemingly always assigned Jiseok to you.
Today was like no other day, the group was preparing for their comeback and shooting started today. As always, you were assigned to Jiseok, as always at this point and he sat on the chair in silence, you were also working in silence. Your feelings for Jiseok were clear but you didn't want to say anything, deeming it unprofessional but Jiseok clearly had those feelings too, always sneaking glances at you, leaving your favorite snack and coffee by your desk and more little actions that showed how much attention he paid to you.
You bit your cheek, you wanted to say something but before you could get the words out, you accidently knocked over some brushes "Oh fuck," you mumbled, leaning over to pick them up "Wait y/n lemme help," Jiseok said, breaking the silence between you both "N-No Jiseok it's fine just sit on your--" you were interrupted by Jiseok tripping over your foot and landing ontop of you. You managed to brace for impact but opening your eyes, you were mere inches from Jiseok's face, those big round eyes staring back at you as he hovered ontop of you. Seconds turned into minutes, minutes turned into hours as you both laid on this position.
You were both frozen in place, unable to talk but after some time, the door opened. You prayed it was hopefully Jungsu or Gunil, a mature logical guy who'd hopefully keep their mouth shut but clearly, the odds were against you as you were, at first, met face to face by Gunil who left his drumstick behind, unfortunately, followed by Jooyeon's loud ass behind him. The two looked at you in silence, Jiseok was still ontop of you as Gunil snapped a quick pic with the phone in his hand, Jooyeon, on the other hand, couldn't keep his mouth shut.
"JISEOK KISSED Y/N!!!" he yelled running out of the room, Jiseok's eyes widened as he ran after Jooyeon "JISEOK! YOUR HAI--oh forget it," you mumbled getting up. Gunil took the liberty of helping you clean up "I'm guessing that was an accident?" he asked, referring to walking in on Jiseok ontop of you "Yeah--My brushes fell over while I was doing his makeup, he offered to help but he tripped and fell ontop of me," you explained as you set your brushes back on the table "Y'know... it's kinda obvious you both have feelings for each other," Gunil explained, you looked at him, face flustered before looking away "Y-yeah you can say something like that," you started before rubbing the back of your neck "Well it's just... workplace etiquette y'know... kinda unprofessional," you mumbled
"You know we don't have dating clause in our contract, right?" Gunil explained, your eyes widened "Wait--really?" you asked, he nodded "Yeah, as long as it doesn't interfere with work it's allowed, since you and Jiseok both work with JYP you both have legal protection incase anything bad happens," he said. You smiled before pouting for a bit "But what about Jiseok? What does he think..." you asked "Jiseok? All he does is talk about you in practice, the boy's just... well under that explosive personality, he's shy, really shy, especially around you," Gunil explained
You were about to continue the conversation before being met with Jooyeon running into the room followed by a still angry Jiseok, the rest of the band followed behind, Jungsu trying to calm the two down while Seungmin and Junhan enjoyed the chaos. Gunil cleared his throat and Jooyeon and Jiseok immediately became quiet and stood still, heads down like children who'd just misbehaved. "Jiseok." Gunil said with a stern voice, Jiseok looked up, anticipating a scolding but was met with "Isn't there anything you wanna say to y/n?" he said, his eyes widened, you could tell he was about to go off on Gunil but he didn't wanna do it in front of you
Jiseok cleared his throat before looking up at you "Umm y/n I was wondering if you maybe... w-wanted to grab a drink with me sometime?" he closed his eyes, bracing for rejection but was met by your soft chuckle "Of course I'd love to, Jiseok," you smiled.
plot : hockey player seungmin meets figure skater junhan
# : one-shot, fluff
a/n : i have no hockey/skating exp other than watching yuri on ice and coming across heated rivalry clips on TL
"Good practice! See you guys Wednesday!" Coach said, the boys headed out of the rink and took off their gear as they stepped out. Seungmin took off his head gear and walked towards the lockers to change out of his gear. As he walked he suddenly got a whiff of a strong scent, he turned and saw someone walking towards the rink, he examined them closer--long curly hair but "Oi--got your eyes on the new figure skater already?" one of his teammates laughed, Seungmin broke from his trance before heading to his team mates, playfully smacking his friend "It's not that," he laughed "She's got a strong scent and I--" "She?" his teammate said. "Seungmin--that's a guy," another one chimed in "Wait--really?" he asked, his two teammates nodded "He just moved from the countryside, he's pretty well known and got a scholarship to practice in the city-," his teammate said as he took off his skate "Kid's name is Junhan if I'm not mistaken,"
---
Wednesday rolled around and Seungmin came to the rink earlier than usual, it was still opened to public so it was packed with mostly kids playing afterschool. He dropped his stuff by the locker before getting a snack by the snack bar "Yeah I'll have some rice cakes and..." he suddenly got a whiff of Junhan's scent again and saw the boy going to the pick up counter "Umm... is that all?" The clerk asked, Seungmin looked back and got flustered before rubbing the back of his neck "Oh yeah and... a bottle of water," he mumbled. He stood by the rink, watching the people skate as he ate his rice cakes, he then saw Junhan practicing with one of the stricter coaches. Seungmin was surprised on how calm the coach was with Junhan, but he was more entranced by Junhan's dancing, it was hypnotic--like a siren--you couldn't get your eyes off him no matter how hard you tried. Seungmin eventually got onto the rink to skate a bit before practice started, he circled the rink before noticing a kid skating at full speed towards the middle of the rink. Without a second thought; Seungmin immediately skated towards him and managed to pick up the kid before he hit anyone. "Hey... be careful... this place isn't your house, please respect the other skaters," he said, scolding the kid. He heard a soft laugh and turned around "God thanks... I'm practicing my spins right now I don't know what would've happened if he bumped into me," the person said. Seungmin turned around and was met face to face with Junhan.
Seungmin let the kid go and he straightened his torso, before rubbing the back of his neck "It's nothing," he chuckled "I don't really like coming here during public hours... Kids are nuisances y'know," he said "S-Seungmin--by the way," he said as he extended his hand "Junhan," he smiled as he shook Seungmin's hand. "You're one of the hockey players right? I noticed your skates," he asked as the two stepped off the rink and sat on a bench, Seungmin was taking a sip of his water and nodded "Yeah, been on the team for a while. As a matter of fact--I think you're our first male figure skater? I never recalled seeing one since I've been here," he said. Junhan nodded "Yeah my coach said I'm the first professional adult skater here... Most are kids who leave after a year," Junhan mumbled. "I'm uhh... sorry if I don't talk much--I'm not used to socializing," hs spoke softly.
"It's not easy being a male figure skater in a small town..." Junhan said, Seungmin just patted his back and smiled "Well you're accepted here, if anyone bothers you me and the guys got your back," he chuckled, speaking for the hockey team "Hey what about I get you a drink? My treat," he said referring to the snack stand. The two boys got drinks and stood by the side "Cheers to new friendships?" Seungmin said raising his bottle, Junhan followed "To new friendships," he smiled before the two boys clinked their bottles and sipped.
---
Overtime, the two boys started to come by earlier or stay later to spend some more time with each other. Seungmin's teammates noticed, often teasing him on it but Seungmin just told them off, saying the two were just friends but he knew deep down--he wanted them to be more than friends.
Months had passed by and Seungmin and Junhan had become more comfortable with each other, it was a usual late night after practice, usually the two would chat on the benches or have dinner at a diner nearby but tonight--Junhan was trying out hockey "Yeah you just hold the stick like that and hit the puck," Seungmin said as Junhan held one of his extra sticks "God how do you use this? It's so... janky," he giggled "Hey that's Il-deu! He's my first stick--be nice," he giggled "Okay whenever your ready, hit the puck into the goal,". Junhan tried his best to hit the puck into the goal but it was slow and barely made it in, Seungmin let out a laugh and Junhan laughed back "Ok smartypants, how about you try some spins this time," Junhan said skating towards an empty part of the rink "Ok try me," Seungmin said. Junhan started spinning effortlessly and elegantly, Seungmin knew he was supposed to pay attention to Junhan's techniques but he was too entranced by Junhan's movements, even without music he danced with grace.
Junhan looked at Seungmin who was dazed and skated towards him "...Seungmin?" "I'm in love with you," Seungmin blurted out by accident, Seungmin closed his mouth when he realized what he said--Junhan's face went red "I umm... I actually like you too..." Junhan said, he looked away while blushing "I've liked you since I met you... I noticed you looking back at me when you smelt my perfume... how you mistook me for a girl..." he giggled, Seungmin looked back at him, their eyes connected "So umm... what... now?" Seungmin asked "You wanna... grab dinner?" Junhan asked "But... not as friends anymore..." he giggled

plot : tension rises when guitarist jiseok suddenly leaves the group
# : jungji established relationship + angst, based off the lost & found mv trailer, mention of homophobia & sh (brief)
a/n : im p sure the one chasing jiseok in the trailer was junhan or jooyeon but for story sake it's gonna be jungsu. as of nov 2nd i still havent watched the mv, im scared
It's been hard for Jiseok recently, his grades falling, tensions at home rising and he's been behind with the band recently, not to mention the competition coming up. The group was practicing as usual but something sounded off, the group glanced at each other, everyone knew who it was but no one wanted to point fingers, the silence was thick before Gunil spoke up "Ah it's okay guys, let's just take it slow--one more time okay?" he said easing the group.
The group started playing again before Hyeongjun heard the problem--Jiseok was playing off-key, he was about to help cover but Jiseok strummed a bit too loud. The group immediately stopped, Jungsu and Seungmin glared at Jiseok, Jooyeon looked lost and Gunil didn't know what to do. "Yah," Jungsu said as he was about to scold Jiseok but before he could speak--Jiseok threw his guitar to the nearby sofa and ran off, the group was in shock. Seungmin just stood disappointed "Does he even care anymore?" he asked rhetorically "He's been like this for weeks, running off and not dealing with his problems--let's just kick him," he said, pissed and disappointed in his friend.
The group looked at each other in silence, it was something they all had in mind but was never brave enough to say out loud. Jungsu broke the silence by running after Jiseok and calling for him.
---
Jiseok ran as far as he could, he ran away from the studio, his friends, school, home, anywhere from here. He ended up in the underpass connecting the city to the countryside, he was about to run before Jungsu called him. He stopped in his tracks before turning around, he thought his mind was playing tricks on him but he really saw Jungsu standing behind him, panting heavily with his hands on his thighs gasping for air.
"Why did you follow me..." Jiseok said as he stared at Jungsu "I know you're mad at me... everyone is... you were gonna scold me earlier--I know it," he said. Jungsu shook his hand, trying to dismiss Jiseok's allegation but deep down--he felt guilt, it was true, he WAS about to scold Jiseok. "No just--talk to me dude," he said walking up to Jiseok who was starting to walk away "What's up with you lately, you've been distant, you come to class with a jacket in summer and--" Jungsu was about to continue before Jiseok suddenly cut him off " 'Dude' ? Seriously? That's what you call me?" he said in disbelief.
He put his hood down and looked at Jungsu so he could see his red puffy eyes "5 months with you and all you call me is dude?" he said, hurt "Gunil was right... we shouldn't have gotten together... it fucks up the band's relationship," he said wiping his tears. Jungsu ran to Jiseok and gave him a hug "Baby no its not--let's just go home please... it's not safe here..." he said referring to the cars driving by--but in all seriousness, he just wanted to get Jiseok somewhere safe so they could talk more rationally.
But it was clear Jiseok wasn't having any of it, he didn't reciprocate Jungsu's hug and? he scoffed at the elder. "Safe... like you know what that is," he scoffed before pushing Jungsu's hands off him, he stared at Jungsu, he knew the elder wanted to reach out and comfort him but he knew Jungsu was one to give someone space when they need it. "My parent's found out about us..." he said looking away from Jungsu, sniffing before he spoke again "They found our letters and our pictures--they forced me to show them my phone and that was the nail in the coffin..." he opened up, Jungsu just stared in shock, the buzzing cars driving by suddenly went silent in his ears as Jiseok's words filled his ears "It's fucking everything up, they wanna transfer me to some Catholic private school next semester,"
Jungsu just stared at him "So... what's your plan with running away?" he asked, referring to the fact Jiseok was gonna run away to the countryside "To be with my Grandma... she's the only person who cares about me," he sobbed, his eyes were red from crying "Jiseok why... why didn't you tell me?" he asked softly, not wanting to startle the already overwhelmed Jiseok "I-I didn't want you to worry... you have college applications next semester..." he spoke.
He suddenly dropped to his knees as he started to cough, Jungsu immediately ran to him and started to take off Jiseok's jacket to give his body some cool down. Jungsu's eyes widened at the pack of cigarettes and lighter that fell out of the pocket, his eyes trailed to Jiseok's arms covered in cuts and bruises. He was in fight or flight; part of him wanted to run, disgusted by the blood and bruises, but the other knew Jiseok was struggling, he was partially guilty for it and he needed to own up to it now--not later.
"Jiseok, lemme take you home--please," he said trying to help pick Jiseok up but he pushed Jungsu off "No fucking--leave me alone," he said, sounding more like a plea than a threat "I don't want you nor the band getting involved in this mess, just leave it between me and my parents," he said putting his jacket back on and shoving the cigarettes and lighter back in his pocket before walking. Jungsu just stood in place, frozen "S-so you're just gonna leave? Like that? What about the band, what about all your dreams?" he yelled, trying to get Jiseok to listen "What about us? What about the days ahead of us where we get to play? In the US? London? All the places we dreamt of?!" he yelled in exhaustion, Jiseok finally stopped, turning to him "Those were all dreams," were the last words he spoke to Jungsu before sprinting off. Jungsu couldn't catch up to him even if he wanted to so he just collapsed to the ground, yelling in defeat at a loss before passing out from the rush of emotions that crashed over him.
---
Jooyeon luckily found Jungsu on the side of the road not long after and managed to get him back to the others. They all sat in Gunil's apartment in silence, Jiseok's guitar, bag and phone were all on the dining table, Jungsu was crying as Jooyeon comforted him, Hyeongjun and Seungmin sat in silence as Gunil brought him a cup of tea.
"So he just ran off?" Seungmin asked after Jungsu explained what happend, the elder nodded "I tried offering him to comeback to my place or just get him back to the city but he wasn't budging," he replied before drinking the tea "Then he just... sprinted off, you guys know how fast the kid is... I couldn't catch up even if I wanted to," he spoke softly, they all murmured in agreement "Well what about the competition? It's too late to back out now..." Seungmin said, addressing the elephant in the room as he eyed Jiseok's guitar.
"Did he say anything about the band?" Gunil asked, Jungsu kept quiet, "Those were all dreams," echoed in his mind again. He glanced at the group, he knew how much Jiseok's opinion mattered to the others, especially considering the fact he was one of the most passionate members. Jungsu sighed before crossing his fingers behind his back "No, he just hoped you guys don't forget to eat," he spoke softly, seeing the members' faces sigh in relief took the weight off his shoulders "Well... competition's this weekend, see ya'll tomorrow?" Gunil asked, he knew everyone was still shock with Jiseok's sudden departure but the show still had to go on--everyone nodded in agreement before heading to their respective homes.
---
"1, 2, 3 we are all heroes! Hello, this is Xdinary Heroes." the group said after they finished performing, their fans started cheering, holding up banners, gifts for the members and photocards of their faces. It had been years since Jiseok left, the group won that competition all those years ago which helped skyrocket their fame to a wider audience. They haven't gotten past the bitter feeling of missing someone but it's something they'll come to when they're ready.
Amongst the audience, was a grown up Jiseok--he looked different from all those years ago, a more mature face, his hair was back to black and he was much taller but... you couldn't forget those full pouty lips. He was recording the group onstage chatting with the audience but he focused on Jungsu, wondering if he'd gotten over him as Jiseok himself hadn't. He put his phone down after recording before realizing Jungsu was staring dead straight at his direction, eyes wide before pointing at him and trying to get Hyeongjun's attention beside him. Jiseok was about to put his hood up and hide in the back but Gunil spoke "And with that... let's welcome your main show: Green Day!"

plot: intern gunil wonders if its too late to quit the company he just joined...
# : crack fic, based off RTW - Xtreme Show Ep 2 , Gunil's the youngest in this fic
Gunil is currently a university student and as per his university requirements--he needed to have an internship for about a year. That's how he landed an internship at Rock One Instruments Inc. His first week went relatively... normal? To say the least. He went through the usual training, Jiseok, a fellow employee, introduced him to the people in the department; Deputy managers Oh Seungmin and Kim Jungsu, Manager Lee Jooyeon and Senior manager Junhan.
His seniors were... reasonable people to say the least but he could tell they were keeping a facade to seem "normal" towards him. The first 2 days they acted like normal, arriving at reasonable times, normal conversations about stocks or what not then leaving work to get dinner or go home. But after those 48 hours... their masks started to slip. Manager Jooyeon accidently slipped in a conversation that he spent the night gaming at a PC cafe which is why he came late that morning instead of insisting that he did overtime and slept at the office, Gunil went to photocopy some documents and saw deputy Seungmin writing on the office computer that he "Wanted to quit," in big bold letters, and he caught Jiseok and Jungsu air dropping pictures of what looked like senior manager Junhan back when he was a rockstar.
The full facade fell during the department's meeting where Junhan explained they needed to propose new instruments to sell. Gunil came prepared, he came with a slide show and elaborate sketches--his seniors however... A guitar with a baby toy solar system attached? A bass you could barely hear? A synthesizer with a training ribbon attached? The most out of pocket instrument proposed was Jungsu's keyboard on wheels with buttons attached with a voice line telling someone to "Get out" and his seniors constantly made jabs on using it on Gunil.
They went silent when Gunil presented his work, "The kid took this seriously?" He heard Jooyeon whisper to Jungsu who sat beside him. Once Gunil's presentation was over, he looked at his seniors who were kind of shocked at the contrast of their silly ideas compared to Gunil's more literal and serious ones. "That's a good presentation Gunil, you can take your seat now," Junhan said, quickly dismissing the boy.
---
That meeting was last week, Gunil sat at his desk working. Jungsu's keyboard was chosen and his seniors had been toying with the different voice buttons all week, they added Jungsu's laugh then changed it to Jiseok saying "Nya" and at right now it was Jooyeon opera singing. Gunil couldn't focus but he didn't dare say anything, he typed on his laptop before feeling a tap on his shoulder "Hey," Seungmin said. Gunil looked up at the two deputy managers standing infront of him "You can record tiktoks right?" Jungsu asked.
That's how he found himself in the snow, recording his deputy managers to some stupid tiktok trend (the love over hiphop, money over love btw) all in the middle of the workday--even after they got inside, they still insisted on recording more tiktoks. Gunil glanced at Junhan who was unfazed, Jiseok and Jooyeon were playing games on the office computers. That's when Gunil thought to himself...
"What the hell is wrong with my seniors,"
---
bonus: "So Gunil, I wanted to discuss your internship report..." His professor said as Gunil sat in his office "You interned for... Rock One Instruments Inc. correct?" he asked, Gunil nodded "You reported you spent your time... recording tiktoks for the deputy managers' personal tiktoks... played minesweeper as your work... and witnessed instrument innovations that included a talking keyboard, a workout synthesizer and guitar with a baby solar system?" he said, Gunil nodded "Are you high? Did you even intern? This report sounds like total bullshit," his professor said, clearly not amused with the essay Gunil pulled out of his ass "I umm... no I actually--went through those," he replied, he opened his phone and showed documentations of the stuff he described in his report, his professor looked astonished "Here's uhh... the senior manager's number," he said giving his professor Junhan's name card. His professor rasied a brow and dialed the number "Hello, this is Junhan, senior manager of Rock One Instruments Inc. how may I help you?"
plot : the mafia in a boarding school
# : xdh mafia au, on-going
a/n : starting a new au !! its bonten inspired, be multiple parts and on going! i hope you guys will enjoy it :))
6 boys, one academy. ♭Form was a boarding school, known for its strict nature; weather it'd be rebellious children to learn how to behave or high-achieving children to soar higher--♭Form's got you covered.
♭Form was segregated into those two groups, the rebels and the high achievers, both groups were also treated differently by administration and staff. high achievers were met with warm greetings and praises while the rebels were ignored and scolded for the smallest things, the high achievers walked free though. This caused an unspoken rule that rebels and high achievers were like oil and water--they could never mix, they could never interact.
The cafeteria was split into two halves, the rebels and the scholars, one side had upkept uniforms, perfect posture and clean tables. The other? unkept uniforms, people were rowdy and the warnings from the staff fell on deaf ears. "Can they ever shut up?" Jungsu commented as he ate alongside Gunil and Seungmin "No, they've been like this--they'll always be like this, unless they learn to listen there's no doubt they'd change," Gunil replied as he finished his food. "God they're annoying," Seungmin mumbled as he put his tray away.
"MEGAKNIGHT," Jooyeon yelled as he tackled Junhan who was peacefully eating his food "Lee Jooyeon! Don't cause a ruckus!" the teacher in staff warned "Aww wah wah wah can't handle a little noise?" Jiseok giggled appearing behind her before blasting music on his portable speaker. That's how the two ended up in the dean's office, again "Do you have ANY idea how much trouble you're in?" He said, the two were nonchalant, clearly not caring. Jooyeon broke the silence by yawning "So what? When the scholars cause a ruckus you guys don't care," he said "Yeah! You're always praising them yet punishing us for the same shit!" Jiseok argued back, the dean stuttered for a second, before coming up with an idea "Is that so? Guess I'll have you learn form them to see why they get praise and you get scolded," he said, Jooyeon and Jiseok argued, clearly, this dean wasn't aware of the spoken yet obvious rule that scholar students and rebels don't work together.
"So what did he say?" Junhan asked "Said we needed to form some fuckass club with scholar students by next week or we'd be suspended," Jiseok replied, lighting a cigarette as they stood behind a building--away from the cameras, their hide away. "And the club needs to last until the end of the school year, if it disbands before we'd be suspended indefinitely," Jooyeon replied "That's unfair," Junhan replied as he sat on the grass, the other two joined "I know, but we have no other option, dean said it's a 'learning' opportunity for us so we know why 'they get praise while we get scolded' " Jooyeon replied, mocking the dean's statement "I'll join your club," Junhan smiled "Thanks... we need those scholar fucks now," Jiseok replied as he smoked his cig "Any ideas?"
"Hey look at this," Seungmin said getting the attention of the two elders "Band club?" he said reading out the poster, Jungsu and Gunil looked at it alongside Seungmin "That's new... doesn't hurt to try," Gunil shrugged "I can play drums, 'su you can play piano and keyboard right? And Seungmin I think you mentioned learning synths for music class?" Gunil said, the two boys nodded in agreement "First meeting Friday at 3pm... we'll let's just keep it in mind and see how it goes," Jungsu said before walking off.
---
Friday rolled around; Gunil, Jungsu and Seungmin made their way to the music room--unbeknownst to them, tweedledee and tweedledum would be waiting on the other side. "Is this band--club..." Gunil's tone shifted seeing Jooyeon and Jiseok sitting in the room, accompanied by Junhan "Please don't tell me this club was made by these two dumb fucks," Jungsu mumbled "Who are YOU calling dumb!?" Jiseok said, getting up and shoving the boy, Jungsu glared back and shoved Jiseok back, they got into a small brawl before getting separated by their respective friends.
They now sat across each other on different sofas, Junhan being the mediator amongst the two groups "First off, Seungmin, Jungsu and Gunil, we're happy you showed interest in our club," Junhan said as he broke the silence "I know there was a small brawl but I hope this doesn't continue till the end of the year," he spoke calmly, Seungmin scoffed "I can't believe the school let you two dumb fucks run a club," he said, refusing to stare at the two "It's not like we had an option," Jooyeon argued "It was either form a club with scholar students and be active till the end of the year or be suspended infinitely," Jiseok said, arms crossed "And you didn't pick the suspend option? Wow you have a brain--where was it in science class?" Seungmin barked back "Ignored by the teachers, obviously," Jiseok snapped back, Seungmin glared before getting up "Fuck this I'm leaving," he said.
"Of course you are--you high achiever students get away with everything, yeah just leave as you please," Jooyeon replied, shoo'ing the boy. Something in Guni's head clicked and he told Seungmin to stop moving "Jooyeon, right?" he said, confirming Jooyeon's name, the boy nodded before Gunil continued "Elaborate on the getting away part," he asked, politely, surprisingly. Jooyeon just scoffed and leaned back into the sofa he was sitting on "Don't you scholars realize? There's some kind of 'segregation' at play here, us rebels-" Jooyeon said, referring to Jisoek and Junhan "-when we excel something we're accused of cheating, we're reprimanded for the smallest things, heck--when Jiseok blasts his rock music in his dorm he's met with laundry duty," Jooyeon argued "You guys on the other hand," Jooyeon started. "Even if you cheat its brushed under the rug and you're praised for it, if you do the same action as us like... being in the halls without a hallpass, you're just left with a gentle reminder and music? They call it the 'music of our future generation' not some noise garbage," Jooyeon explained.
The room went silent, the scholars' never realized the favoritism they were given by staff and teachers, Seungmin just scoffed "You're bluffing," he said before leaving, Jungsu and Gunil followed with.
"Well that was... a success? At least we met them," Junhan said trying to lighten the mood
---
"There's no way there's favoritism at a school like this," Seungmin scoffed "The reason we're treated better is cause we act better--right Gunil?" he said looking at the elder for support, Gunil just hummed in agreement "Rules are set for a reason, it's not our fault they're reprimanded because they can't follow it while we can," he said.
However, Jooyeon's comments stuck in the back of their heads throughout the week "Gunil," a teacher called "I need you to help monitor two students, Felix and Hyunjin," she said "Oh? Why so?" Gunil asked "Oh just... precautions y'know... rebels... they've been D students... C on a good day... but recently they've been averaging Cs..." the teacher smiled, Gunil raised a brow "But wasn't Bang Chan flagged for cheating on the past tests?... shouldn't I be supervising him?" Gunil asked. The teacher just brushed him off and smiled "Oh Chan's just struggling! You know how you kids are, such scholars... the stress gets to you guys sometimes!"
"Find x+y, if: 2x+3y=8 and 3x+5y=13," The teacher explained on the whiteboard, Jungsu was jotting the equation down to solve before a rebel in his class raised his hand to answer "is it 3?" he said, the teacher clicked his tongue for a minute "I don't know... what do you think Jungsu?" the teacher asked, Jungsu looked up from his notebook--he'd gotten the same answer as the rebel "Umm I got... 3 aswe-" "Wonderful! I could never expect any better from our mathematician!" the teacher praised. Usually, Jungsu would feel pride but Jooyeon's comment lingered in his mind, it made his stomach turn. He has the same answer as the rebel--why was he dismissed while Jungsu was praised?
Seungmin was doing a lab experiment alongside a partner, he stepped outside to get a snack and came back into the lab to see his partner getting scolded by their teacher "You can't mix chemicals as you please!" he said, Seungmin quickly jumped in and stopped the fight "What's going on here?" he asked "You can't be in the lab after school hours!" the teacher said "Why?! Because I'm a rebel and you think I'm gonna cook some drugs up!?" his partner yelled back. Seungmin quickly eased the two and explained the situation "Changbin's my lab partner, we have permission to use this class till 5pm--is the permission slip not on the door?" he asked, the teacher gritted his teeth and looked at the door before turning to the two "Oh, guess I missed it! Well I'll be on my way," he smiled before leaving. "I didn't need your help," Changbin scoffed, Seungmin was taken aback "I-I just--" "What? You wanted to help? You scholars think everything you do is correct and feel no wrong," Changbin scoffed, cutting Seungmin off.
---
"You think they're coming back to practice today?" Junhan asked as they sat in the practice room, Jiseok hit a vape by the window and Jooyeon was tuning his bass "Highly doubt it," Jooyeon replied "You saw how they acted last time--what makes you think they'd be-" Jooyeon was cut off by the door opening. Gunil, Jungsu and Seungmin walked in, they sat on their spots on the sofa in silence, Junhan, Jiseok and Jooyeon looked at each other before joining on the opposite sofa "We didn't think you guys would be back," Junhan said, the trio didn't reply till Gunil spoke up "You guys were right..." he said "There's clear favoritism... we never noticed because..." "We're benefiting from it," Jungsu spoke up "We were wrong about you guys... we're sorry," Seungmin replied.
The six boys sat in silence, they were at a loss for words. Gunil groaned in frustration "They're right--this isn't fair," he said "Rebels, Scholars--we're all the same, we're all students of ♭Form. Jooyeon, Jiseok, Junhan," he said turning to the rebels "It's not fair you guys are given labels by people of authority and treated differently for that," he turned to Jungsu and Seungmin "I think it's time we fight back on the system, remind the teachers whose the leaders of the future,". Jungsu and Seungmin's eyes lit up in admiration while Junhan, Jiseok and Jooyeon looked at each other "I'm smelling chaos?" Jooyeon grinned.

"Table for 2," Jungsu said as they walked into the restaurant, it was a casual Kbbq restaurant, it wasn't a cheap nor expensive place--perfect for a Friday night after work to start the weekend. The two boys ordered some meat and beer and just enjoyed each others presence, Jiseok just stated at Jungsu cooking for him; deep down, he forgave Jungsu but knowing how he is, Jiseok wants to tease Jungsu and drag it on for longer just to mess with him.
"You're not gonna eat your food?" Jungsu asked, Jiseok was snapped back to reality, Jiseok just ate his food in silence sulking as he pouted those ireesistable puffy lips. Jiseok was internally living off teasing Jungsu but Jungsu on the other hand? Seeing Jiseok sulk and pout at a restaurant he liked? He felt so guilty.
"I know... I didn't give you a proper apology," Jungsu started as he looked at Jiseok sulking as he ate "I... I know I treated you like shit and it's completely my fault, its been a while since we had a new hire and most of us are pretty... quiet people," Jungsu said looking at Jiseok for any hint of a reaction before continuing "I know it's not an excuse to treat you the way I did... will you forgive me?"
---
Dinner ended quietly and they were both on the road back to Jiseok's house, the road was quiet, they were only accompanied by the music playing on the radio. They stopped at another red light and Jungsu glanced at Jiseok "Oh sorry you-" he said wiping something off Jiseok's face "You had some sauce left... sorry," he said. Jungsu couldn't see it, but Jiseok's face was completely red, blushing hard as he felt his heart beating out of his chest.
They soon got to Jiseok's house, the two boys stepped out of the car and walked up to Jiseok's door. He opened the door and his mom was in the living room, she was worried sick wondering how Jiseok was gonna get home. Once she came to her senses she noticed Jungsu at the door "Oh, I assumed this is Jungsu?" she said looking at the boy "Ah, yes I am," he smiled, giving her a handshake "I'm a senior at the office--I happened to be working overtime and happened to bump into him at the lobby. I treated him to dinner too--apologies for the wait," he smiled. Jiseok's mother just smiled "I'm glad Jiseok has a friend," she said "yeah... friend..." was the first thing in both Jiseok and Jungsu's minds.
"Well--I best be going," he said "Wait, I can't possibly let you go empty handed," Jiseok's mother said "Jiseok, can you give him some kimbap in the fridge?" she said whispering to the younger. That's how Jungsu and Jiseok ended up outside, by Jungsu's car "Thanks for the kimbap," Jungsu smiled "Yeah you're welcome," Jiseok replied. The two boys stood in silence for a minute "Well... are we good now?" Jungsu asked, Jiseok turned "Y-Yeah sure," he said, crossing his arms and pouting, acting pissed when he clearly isn't. Jungsu just giggled and gently caressed Jiseok's face "Well... I'll see you on Monday," he smiled before getting into the car and driving off. Jiseok's gaze lingered onto Jungsu's car till he was gone.

Soon Monday rolled around and Jiseok managed to move his desk back beside Jungsu's over the weekend, with the help and approval of Junhan of course. Jooyeon stepped into the office, expecting to be met with Jiseok as always but saw Jiseok moved back beside Jungsu and the two seemed to be on good terms again. Jooyeon raised a brow but shrugged, if Jiseok's problem was solved, then it was solved.
The other senior employees noticed how Jungsu seemed softer and warmer, somehow, he became patient with answering Jiseok's questions, demonstrating him how to do stuff, etc. Jooyeon noticed it and glanced at Junhan who was in the breakroom with him "You notice how Jungsu warmed up to Jiseok?" he asked, Junhan just ate his food and nodded "I'm kinda suspicious... especially after Jiseok confided in me about how Jungsu belittled him to Seungmin," Jooyeon said. Junhan just chuckled softly "Well I guess they made up for it, props to them for not needing HR to resolve their issues," Junhan said before continuing to eat
Slowly but surely Jiseok goes back to his usual self, being loud and extroverted, but more aware of when to dial it down while Jungsu loosens up a little and even cracks up jokes every now and then. Jooyeon notices first "You're back to being noisy," he chuckled as the two went on a coffee run "Yep! Couldn't be happier," Jiseok smiled "You and Jungsu made up?" Jooyeon asked as he entered the lift "Yep!" Jiseok smiled. Jooyeon and Jiseok both entered the office, Jooyeon was ready to crack a joke to Jiseok but saw how focused his friend was at his task, he wouldn't even bat an eye to Jooyeon "Well someone changed," he thought.
"It's rare for you to eat candy," Seungmin said as he approached Jungsu, who had an opened pack of strawberry candy on his desk "Yeah, it's chewy, helps me stay awake. Want one?" Jungsu replied, offering one to Seungmin "No thanks, too sweet for me," Seungmin said, declining politely. Jungsu shrugged and went back to his work, Seungmin watched before stating: "You've... changed?" he said, Jungsu looked at him "Really? I didn't notice," He replied, genuinely shocked "Well... yeah, you're usually a stern guy who clocks in and out on time. You rarely go out till Jiseok and Jooyeon came like--I was kinda shocked you watched that new movie in theaters instead of at home like usual," Seungmin said, raising a brow at Jungsu's change of habit "Well, it's not too late to try new things right," he smiled

Friday dinners became their little secret between Jungsu and Jiseok, the same restaurant at the same table ordering the same food--the only change are the topics spoken between the two. Once it became more frequent, it wasn't uncommon for Jiseok to stay over at Jungsu's from time to time; it started when a heavy rain blocked the road causing Jiseok to stay over at Jungsu's house for the night. One night turned into over the weekend since Jungsu's place was closer to the office which made Jiseok come to the conclusion it'd be better to stay at Jungsu's when he needed to--luckily for him, Jungsu welcomed him with open arms.
Jiseok's stay overs became so frequent to the point Jungsu's guest bedroom turned into Jiseok's and he had his own clothes and toiletries there. It felt like a second home for him, when he needed to get away from home, the office or anything he'd find himself at Jungsu's, often times he was there when Jungsu wasn't even home. It wasn't a shocker when Jungsu would come home to see Jiseok asleep on the sofa, he just brewed him a cup of tea and laid a blanket on him, it was something he'd grown accustomed to.

"Welcome to the company's 25th birthday anniversary! Please enjoy yourself to the food and music," Gunil said on the microphone to the ballroom filled with employees. Of course, the department (Jungsu, Jiseok, Seungmin, Junhan and Jooyeon) were all sitting together, they were chatting with each other about their favorite memories since joining the company and more activities to do together to help strength the team's bond. Everyone wore a suit, Jiseok couldn't keep his eyes off Jungsu, he looked magnificent in his suit, it was tailored perfectly, god he just want to--
"Oi, Jiseok you there?," Jooyeon said, Jiseok blinked and got back to reality "O-oh yeah, what's up?" he asked "We were thinking about goin' bowling some time, want in?" Jooyeon asked. Jiseok nodded and smiled "Sure! Sounds fun," he smiled before glancing at the freshly placed dessets. "I'm grabbing dessert," Jiseok said as he got up "Wait up I also want some," Jungsu said, following Jiseok behind; the two were at the table getting some cakes before deciding to stand by the side while eating "You look really good tonight," Jiseok admitted, as he blushed "T-thanks, I could say the same for you," Jungsu replied. Their voices became hard to hear due to the live music playing by the stage "Wanna chat outside?" Jungsu asked.
"The moon is beautiful isn't it?" Jungsu said, the two were standing at a balcony looking up at the stars, Jiseok looked at them, glanced at Jungsu before replying "Yeah but, the stars are prettier--don't you think?" he said. Jungsu looked at him and smiled before grabbing his hands "Y'know... I was serious about you bringing colour back into my life... I was actually starting to despise that dead end office job... I loved the company, Gunil's a good CEO but I just... felt like something was missing," Jungsu said "Then you and Jooyeon came along... But I felt like you specifically filled that missing void about the job... I started getting more excited to come to the office just to see you and I really... I really enjoy our Friday dinners together," Jungsu smiled. Jiseok was blushing like crazy, his heart was beating out of his chest and you could almost see him physically shake at every thump of his heartbeat "OH MY GOD IS THIS HAPPENING??" he said mentally, scared he was gonna say something too quick.
"So... Kwak Jiseok," Jungsu said, tightening the grip on Jiseok's hands "Do you... wanna be my boyfriend?" he asked, he was mentally preparing for a rejection before Jiseok hugged him "O-Of course I'd love to," he said, trying to contain his excitement. Jiseok pulled away form Jungsu for a minute before they stared into each others' eyes. Jungsu leaned in and gently kissed Jiseok's lips, he was ready to pull away but Jiseok returned the kiss while wrapping his hands around Jungsu's neck.
The two returned to the table where, Gunil was there and the two joined in the conversation, this time holding each others' hands under the table with a smile.
